Fruits Basket OC anyone?

I'm Thinking about something set years after the series, So there is a completely new group of Sohmas That have been cursed To change into zodiac animals. I don't really have a plot At the moment, but more wanted to see if anyone was interested. I can flesh Out an idea if people do show interest in the idea. :3

As Generations have turned and old Family have died, a new zodiac Generation has been born. Years after the reign of Akito, Dissension arose within the Sohma Household and an inner war nearly drove the ancient family to extinction. The main house was completely destroyed, leveled to the ground And the remaining family members fled For their lives. They gathered at an old forgotten house where It was discovered that Shigure Shoma use to live...

Season passed And peace finally settled onto the small village that had sprung up Around the original house. The curse of the animals returned, But it was more manageable in the smaller group. It seemed that life would go on As it normally did.

But what would happen if the family excepted strangers to move in to one of the empty houses...?

Fruits Basket? Oldie, but certainly a goodie.
Few quick questions:

-I'm assuming the players would play the 'new' Sohma's, but who would play the 'stranger' and would his/her role be the same as Tohru?
-What's the focus of this RP? Slice of life? Romance? Mystery? etc. You hint in the opening post that something will happen. Does that mean you'll be guiding the plot and creating events? Or will it be mainly up to players to do that?

I was thinking originally that everyone could have two Characters. That way, we wouldn't need as many people to join.

Do we have to play a member of the Sohma family? Can we place people in that live in the village surrounding the Sohma house?

Also, is this gonna be a futuristic hi-tech setting or are we gonna assume an extended modern scenerio?
Or (and this is just my own idea) since it seems there was a war-- from what I take from your back-story so far-- perhaps the world went through a sort of apocalyptic collapse and the last few generations have been used reforming society, giving a quasi-feudal feeling to the setting. Despite the fact we are in the future, there is a more traditional feel to the setting. (If that is too complicated to comprehend, I completely understand and you can ignore it completely. X) )
