This sounds like fun! =3 I've developed a recent love for masquerades too. =3 One quick question though: so the character we use won't remember their name but will a "code name" on their name tag, if you will, correct?
Hello love, welcome to the Ball.
What would you do if you woke up in a room, surrounded by people wearing beautiful clothes, masks, and dancing delightedly amongst each other. Would you join the fray? Flee in terror? Look for your mate somewhere in the crowd of glittering gowns?
Well, we get to find out, now, don't we? You wake up in a ball room, wearing what was probably the most expensive formal wear you've ever worn. You have no idea who you are, why you're here, and why you're dressed the way you are. You notice, helpfully, that you have a name-tag of some sort attached to your lapel, or your dress. Despite the fact that you've forgotten your name, you're pretty sure the word is not your name; but it will suffice.
Look around the room. You see a merriment of people that you are sure you knew at some point, but cannot remember now. Perhaps through interaction with them, you'll remember why you were ever here, and what about yourself you forgot.
There's more, naturally, but I'd rather wax pages on it to those who are interested. If I see enough people showing interest, I'll post the OOC with the rest of the scenario, and the character sheet.

Yes, a code name ^^
Sounds really interesting

@Ravenwoodwitch Okay, thanks! I'd love to join, if that's alright with you. I just have to decide on a character though I already have one in mind that I might use. Can we double too though, if we so desire?

I'm very interested in this RP if you'll have a strapping young rookie amongst your ranks! I've had a kind of obsession with the masquerade scene in The Phantom of the Opera, so this idea is right up my alley.
all are weclome, and doubles is most certainly allowed since I'd like to balance genders out a bit.
@Ravenwoodwitch Cool! I'll probably play as a boy and a girl to keep things even, provided I can find a girl charrie of mine I really want to play. ^^ One more question: how human do they have to be, if at all? It's possible one of my characters might not be exactly human.

Just use your imagination.
