Basis:
(The conference room)
The apocalypse has happened. All that's left of the world is sand and a few materiel items that survived the bombings. But let's not go into what caused the end. You survived the end because of an advert, an advert seen by millions and dismissed by thousands. The advert prophesied the end of the world and advertised bomb shelters. Of course you phoned, either out of curiosity or fear. The receptionist gave you one of two options, the luxury and the community options. The luxury option was of course more expensive but you thought 'what the hey! It's the end soon anyway!' the receptionist had convinced you rather well and you tried to buy the luxury option only to be dismissed by the receptionist. Others had of course had the same idea and bought luxury bomb shelters filled with food, beds and weapons. You had no choice but to go with the community one, you would be living in an underground complex with other people. There would be enough food to last around 10 years but no weapons would be allowed within the complex. The creator of these complexes was a religious nut and wrote a set of rules, one was no violence. The others involved having a leader and people to do other jobs. Jobs were made as time went on and now an old broken computer system is also there. There are rooms for all the people, they are quite small and have a mattress on a metal frame with springs that is rather uncomfortable to sleep on, a book of rules, a small bedside cabinet,a wardrobe and a lamp.
Rules:
No weapons (You can sneak them in if you are smart, scalpels are the exception if you are a doctor but you need to show ID)
A leader must always be in charge, elections are every year
Lights go off at 9 (Lamps are the exception)
The elevator is one way trying to change it is DANGEROUS and i would not recommend it

I will put a * next to the ones which MUST be filled with at least 1 person, if no one applies for the important ones and i'm getting lots of requests for the thread then they will be filled with NPC's until someone applies for them

Ah, perfect! I was kind of wondering how I would make the police character work without weapons. Does the workforce have an official name, though? Or is it just "The Police"? (Which is still quite cool, anyhow.)

Also, I think time skips could work, but it really depends on the context and the reason there's a timeskip.

I really only wanted timeskips for advancements in the plot. Like making a way up to the wasteland. If the players characters got too old they could play as their child or someone who took on the role of them.
