Just did my first play through.
It's so fun, and I'm so bad at it.
Started off with some Duke Konan or Kottan or something. Married him to Princess Maior (wasn't actually in line for the thrown), had daughter. Fought down rebellion.
He then died of natural causes at 34 (so unhealthy), daughter became duchess. Immediately swarmed by a massive uprising. 600 enemy soldiers, I could raise my 147 and one of my vassals could raise 1.
I lost.
Which is annoying, because my half-brother was set to become King of Hungary.
