    Return of the Dragon Riders.

The day was clear as the wind blew in from the crisp seas. The small port town of Dragon's Landing was all but abandoned, only the highest stubbornness of Fisherman and Woodsmen living here still. The town it self was insignificant, for in the mountains beyond lay the ruined citadel of the famed Dragon Riders. For it was hear the young Walsh felt compelled, a strange force willing him to go there. The newly made Captain of the Pirate vessel 'Dragon's wing' walked out of his cabin to take in the fresh sea air. His skin was darker then most humans and his ears pointy, gifts from his mother. "Lower the sails! Hard right to starboard and take her in lads!" he shouted as the crew of the ship came to life to dock the ship into the town. "Aye, This be the place" He said to him self as the ship started to turn towards the small town, the mountains looming in the background with the ruined citadel in the side of a clif. "Captain, this town not be worth plunden, She be dead just 'bout" Ruffis, the first mate of the vessel said as Walsh looked to him "Aye, it Isn't Plundering here, It's those mountains the are calling to Servatos and me, Speaking of." he turned "Open the hold!" he shouted as the grated deck in the middle of the boat opened up. The Large Scaly beast climbed from the hold, his skin black as nigh with a glossy shine to it. The Dragon craned his long serpentine neck to look at the mountain raising onto his hind haunches. "Scout ahead Servatos! let us know it's clear." The large dragon ran to the fore of the ship and jumped on to the railing and lept flapping his large wings to take flight into the air.

The Dragon flew high in to the air and peered down, those golden reptilian eyes seeing farther then any creature could. He circled the town, high enough that most villager would pay him no mind. "Aye Lads, the way is clear bring us in!" Most of the crew found it disturbing to have dragon on board, more so the way their captain seemed to know what it was thinking "Aye as you say captain." The first mate said "Bring us into port! It's time for some leave and wenches for ye!" he said as this made the crew work extra hard. The whole evolution took them another hour, but before long the Schooner was moored along the pier and the gang plank laid "I want atleast two watches at all times" Walsh said to his First mate as he walked off the boat. He looked over to a crowd or people who had gathered, the first non-local vessel to pull into the port for almost two decades. "Yes, I am assuming there is an inn here? Maybe some entertain meant for my men?" . An old man walked up to him "we won't be having the likes of pirates in this here port, Be gone with ye!" Walsh looked at the old man raising an eye brow

"I'm sorry but that shall no happen, for I need to get to the Dragon Riders Citadel, and this is the only port close by.'
"What do you want with the Citadel boy, it is nothing but ruin Since the Underdrake beat back the Dragon riders Centuries ago, all of it's treasures plundered!"
"I'm not sure what I want with it. But i need to get there and you will no stop me. I told my men to behave while we are here and to treat you people with respect, we could just as easily plunder and burn and take the treasures of your women with us, since this town lacks any other treasures"
The old man eyes him as the rest of crowed was more afraid slowly dispersing "Shut up old man, I'd rather not get killed by pirates"
"Yes and you get our gold, instead of us taking yours. An arrangement i think is quite fare." Most of the people agreed, more so not wanting to die, as he waved his hand and his men started to leave the ship "now to your inn, I will need every room you have i think" And with that the spectacle of the first ship in Dragon's landing was over.

Stay hidden, for now we don't know who to trust Walsh reached out to Servatos as he could feel the Dragons agreement. The black beast going into the forest landing in clearing before folding it's wings, His long serpentine easily weaved through the trees as he hunted for food. Praying on a small pack of deer.

Trogh woke up from his slumber and stretched his arms out and looked at his bright white dragon. He gave off a smile as the dragon snored loudly. The dragon laid on its back with limbs out stretched. Trogh walked out side and saw a dragon flying high up in the air. Trogh staggered back and ran to his dragon. "Verdenkun, Verdenkun." he cried, "Get your lazy ass up and come out here

Verdenkun's eyes opened and looked up at Trogh. "What is it now? Can't you see that i was sleeping," he roared.

Trogh got his scythe and glared at Veredkun. "THere's a dragon outside flying outside over what seems to be ruins of some kind."

Verdenkun looked up and out of the cave. His eyes grew big and and his upper lip quivered. Trogh walked to his companion's side and stroke the spines on the dragon's back. He got on Verdenkun's back. "Lets go and check it out." he said and spurred Verdenkun and the galloped toward the dragon in the sky.

Serving a table of elderly customers...it seems like only the Biermann’s friends ever visited. An elderly couple where drinking some aged wine in the corner, some younger men of the village came and stared at her while drinking beers…for whatever reasons. Mr Biermann was filling beer glasses from a keg, and Mrs Biermann was cleaning a table with a cloth, the couple with their watching grayed hair had become so familiar to her these past few weeks. She had been brought in lost and confused, and now this tavern was her home. Of course, the people of the town had been reluctant to let a dark elf stay…but, like the Biermanns had said, she must have grown on them.

Suddenly, a local man burst through the doors panting heavily. He must have come to say something important, a warning maybe? Bistra couldn’t help but touch her dragon…bracelet nervously. The man took a few more moments to calm his breathing before announcing what he had to say, “Pirates! Out at the port!” The tavern went quiet, but Mr Biermann shrugged and went on filling more mugs and glasses. The dark elf woman continued to fiddle around with her bracelet nervously, looking over to the Mrs, who she could tell was forcing on a reassuring smile.

Lyna wiped down a table which had been filled with previous customers as the man burst in. Her head turned to see the man and she was quite interested in the subject he proposed. 'Pirates' She thought smirking slightly 'I never have encountered a pirate before, what an adventure this should be'. Lyna used to be afraid of pirates, just as she used to be afraid of robbers and bandits. Over the years Lyna learned that she could handle herself and if she ever really needed she could make a quick get away. "What news of the inns then" She asked the tired man. "There filling then all up" He replied taking a seat at one of the tables claiming a beer. Lyna looked back to Mrs. Biermann who she had been working for for about a week. Mrs. Biermann gave her a nod and Lyna left the table she was wiping and ran through the doors. Lyna ran to the inn keeper eager to be there before the pirates simply to assure her room was not given away.

When she arrived she hurried up to the desk of the Inn to be greeted by Mr.Haversun. "Mr. Haversun I need this room please don't give it away to the pirates that just arrived" Lyna pleaded. "I don't know what to say Lyna there isn't much I can do if they don't need it then you should be fine, but if they want it they'll take it wether I like it or not." Mr Haversun admitted shrugging at Lyna's request. "Fine then Mr. haversun I'll just have to wait for them to get here I won't lose my room without a fight" Lyna told him crossing her arms rather sure that her room would be needed. "Do what you like lassie just don't hurt the interior" Mr Haversun warned.

Lyna shrugged and walked over to the side of the inn leaning on it's interior wall. 'Runya, How are you doing' Lyna reached out to her. 'Fine seems there are more then one dragon rider in the town. I've already spotted two in these mountains you left me in' Runya replied. 'Sorry, but I couldn't bring you here. Just a few more days and we'll be on our way and out of here' Lyna replied.

Walking through the small town he got a message from Servatos, there seemed to be a few more dragons in the area. He hold him to lie low for now, and once he is fed find shelter in the mountain and lie low till we can be sure they aren't UnderDrake. This place was supposedly abandoned by all sides, there shouldn't be anything in the area. The Pirate captain walked up to the in and entered through the door, he walked into the lobby, walking as if he were some kind of king "Yes, hello my good sir. I shall be requiring, well every room you have here!" he said smiling "Just send the bill down to my ship and we will have you paid in full!" he stated as the old man grumbled a bit, "yes, yes, sunny I don't suppose i have much of a choice in the matter do it" He said as Walsh just looked at him "why of course you have a choice my fine sir, you could get paid for all the rooms and any damages that might occur, or we can take all the rooms and not pay for any damage" The old man resigned and nodded "well you deal with Lyna, i'm to old for this stuff". Walsh raised an eyebrow to that but shrugged and turned to leave the Inn.

The Tavern was peacefull, that was until a man came busting in brandishing a sword ", Run fo' da Hill, Pirates be 'bout!" he said as two more walked in behind him hitting his head "Aye, Shut it will you. We are here for drink!" one shouted as they all started to enter, the peaceful tavern going from lazy to very busy as the owner was having trouble keeping up and laughter rawred through out the halls "Hey, theys got one of thos Dark elf wenchs! Never seen me a one before" before anther shouted "The Captain be a dark elf ye git!, well half anyways." They all rawred with laughter as anywhere Bistra went hands were grabbing her her pinching her skin. "Aye, I don think the Ca'tain is so soft and smooth like though!"

Bistra was having quite a bit of trouble…heck, she was having a hard time trying to serve drinks when guys were grabbing at her here or there. Letting out a squeak after being pinch on the bottom through her skirt, she looked over at Mr Biermann with big watery, puppy dog eyes. The elderly man, tried to look away, pretending that he hadn’t seen her pleading, but the Mrs shot him a look…so he went over to the dark elf woman, taking her serving tray from her, wordlessly pointing over at the kegs and caskets. This was an indicator that it was now her job to fill the glasses and mugs. Going over and doing so, she bent over to mess with a low stacked casket…giving a few men near the counter an eyeful. Mrs Biermann could only bring her palm to her face and keep on cleaning.

Lyna lifted herself from of the wall and walked over to him. "No mean to inconvenience you, but I did come here first and a sweet girl like me needs a place to sleep don't you think" Lyna questioned sweetly, but with an underlining tone of sarcasm. "Would it really be to much trouble for some men to share room or maybe sleep on ship" Lyna suggested. 'Be on guard Lyna I don't like him' Runya reached out to her. 'You don't like anyone' Lyna replied. Even so Lyna put one hand on her Fire whip just in case. Lyna looked over the man he didn't look to be stupid, but looks can be deciding If Lyna could get what she wanted without a fight it would defiantly be for the better.

Trogh and Verdenkun galloped for about 5 miles and came across a gate with a huge sign on the op of it. Trogh reared his dragon and hopped off and peered at the sign. He cocked his head to discypher the meaning of the lettering of the sign. Before he could finally get what the sign said, he heard a call, "Pirates! Ouut at the Port!" He looked at Verdenkun with curiosity in his eyes. Verdenkun shook his head and answered his question, "No Trogh. We don't want to draw attraction to ourselves. If someone sees me, they will kill you and me."

Trogh glared at the dragon and countered, "At least lets get a drink."

Verdenkun said nothing but go along with his lifelong friend. Trogh opened up the gate and marched walked and into the Tavern. When he walked in, all the eyes of the people in the bar turned to him except one who was at the bar.

Finn had wound up at another city after finishing a random job. He didn't know where he was going to next, but he thought he needed a break. Ercole, his golden dragon, was out in the woods somewhere finding himself some food. He told his rider that he didn't have to worry and everything would be OK for him that night.

As he entered town he put his hood up, hiding his bright, blonde hair and pale face from the others around him. The only thing that stood out from the shadows of the hood were his piercing blue eyes. The mercenary needed a place to say, so what better place than the inn? He headed on through the inn, but was greeted with a scene of some kind. "Maybe this means another job?" The swordsman shrugged. He took a spot in the corner and watched the others in the room, he wasn't going to do anything until he knew what was up.

The trees swayed ever so slowly as Corvo began his routine stroll through the backwoods of his farm home. He had just completed the chores his parents had tasked him with earlier, without much incident to everyone's surprise. The cow was milked without him breaking into random song, the fallen leaves were raked without him breaking into tears, he brought the chicken eggs to his mother without screaming and calling her a murderer, and he didn't utter a single chastising comment to the pigs about table manners as he fed them their morning slop. By the time he told his parents that everything was done, both of his parents had embraced him in tears. Their son had finally became NORMAL! Corvo was confused but nevertheless went along with it to help speed things along. When he was finally let go he waved goodbye as he told them he'd be out but back in time for supper.

As he got further and further away from the farm home, he began to let the ruse fall away piece-by-piece. He was emotionless as he brushed by the backwood trees, but he touched everyone he passed in a longing, yet woeful way. The animals began appearing as they sensed his presence, most emitting sharp cries of joy as he drew near. But soon sadness enveloped them, they sensed something was not right. He waved to them, his eyes full of mixed emotions as he continued along his way, fully aware that they all followed behind him. Ever since that day, ever since he discovered her, his natural connection with all wild creatures had heightened. Enough to the point that he could understand their thoughts and feelings, all of which at this point were deep pits of sadness and questions he couldn't answer.

Finally, he had reached his intended destination. He was in the middle of the forest, a vast clear meadow that, aside from the gigantic oak tree that stood in center, was covered completely in lush grass. Not to Corvo's surprise however the giant oak suddenly began to convulse and become distorted in shape, a blinding green light swallowing it whole. When the light disappeared it was she who stood in the tree's place, Madremonte the Dragon of Nature in all of her glory.

She had grown incredibly since the day Corvo had found her. At first the idea of keeping her a secret was completely ludricous, he didn't want to keep such a magnificent creature a secret from his family and village. But soon Madremonte's thoughts ebbed into his mind, showing him the possible violent and chaotic ramifications that could follow if her presence was known. The world just wasn't ready for her and Corvo began to understand, agreeing to keep her existence a secret.

The months that followed were life changing. After learning that she was a Dragon of Nature and that he was to be her "Rider", Corvo began to see changes within himself and his own surroundings. One big change that he immediately had noticed was his heightened affinity with the animals of the backwood forest of his home, the ability to communicate and understand them to a certain degree. Another was his ability to notice slight changes in the weather. One particular day while on the farm with his father, the sun was radiating brightly, not a cloud in sight. Yet the boy looked sharply up towards the sky, sniffed once, and told his father of a huge impending storm coming their way in the next three hours and the crops were in danger if they didn't make an attempt to protect them. His father had waved him off, insistent on telling the boy that there was no such thing, but sure enough after two-and-a-half-hours had passed dark clouds began rolling in. The young man swelling with pride with his successful prediction and the old man surprised, they quickly worked to protect the crops. They finished just as the downpour and strong winds began and they ran quickly inside. "Good job, son," spoke his father as he had patted him on the back.

But the biggest change of them all was the MAGIC! While sitting in the meadow one day with Madremonte she informed him of his inner ability. 'You have the power to bend the elements, young cub,' as she had taken to calling him as her size began to tower over. "Bend the... elements?" He had asked, curiosity piqued as two squirrels chased each other across his shoulders. Energy began to ball up inside of him as his eyes lit up. "YOU MEAN LIKE MAGIC???" Madremonte rumbled a chuckle as she lowered her head towards him, a ball of green light suddenly shooting from her eyes into his lap. The action caused him to jump and startled the two squirrels. 'This,' Madremonte said, 'Is my gift to you. Use it wisely.' The ball of light began to expand in his lap, shaping itself into a long, thin beam of sorts, before dimming suddenly to reveal a spear-like staff.

Corvo stood up and held it, examining it closely. "But....How do I--" 'I will teach you,' Madremonte answered, 'But not here..... We must prepare for a journey, Corvo. To a place where the destiny that lies before you can fully take shape. You'll have to leave your family in order to do so. I'm sorry, there's no other way.' Corvo slowly nodded as he took it all in. Leaving his family. A journey. And destiny. In a span of only a couple of months, his life had not only changed, it had taken a completely different shape and meaning. "I-I....Okay... We'll leave first thing tomorrow." Madremonte, sensing the shock but most of all the sadness pressed her giant head against him, 'I'm sorry Corvo...'

Looking up at her now, the full weight of the situation had hit him. He was leaving everything he had ever known to set out for the unknown. For a destiny he had no clue about. But fate had put him and Madremonte together for a reason. He trusted that she'd be able to guide him along the way as well. "I'm ready," he spoke softly as he began to mount her. "Wherever this journey may lead... I'm ready to see it through... But I'm scared Madremonte."

'There'll be no need to be. I'll be here Corvo,' the dragon reassured him as she began to flap her wings, the buffet of winds causing the animals to scatter. Within seconds she was off the ground and soon reached the skies of the heavens.

As Corvo looked down he immediately regretted it. This was only his second time flying upon her, the thought that he should've ridden her more often flashed over and over again in his mind. 'It's okay,' Madremonte reassured him again, 'Experience first-hand is the best teacher, and you'll be getting alot of it. You'll be a professional in no time.' Corvo nodded as he laid his head against her, not completely convinced. "Where are we headed?"

'To where it all began, young cub. The Dragon Riders Citadel...'
