I am lost, please help

Okay so I have no idea how to start my profile up and stuff. Can someone please help me out with this?

Since you're new here, check out The Guide. It just goes through all of the basics.
If you need any help at all, don't hesitate to PM me or Ask a Comrade, we are the people with the italic usernames.
We are pretty nice around here, so don't be shy.
As for setting up your profile, click 'Settings' up in the right-hand corner.
On the left-hand side of the page, you will see various links. Click 'Edit Profile' or anything else under the 'My Settings' section.
If this doesn't help, send me a PM and I'll explain it in more detail.
