Showdown vs Reytrx99 (or as I still call him, Ar1on)

This is a 1v1 battle that has long been awaited As a welcoming back gift to a major Knight of Legend, I told my friend, Ar1on that I would spar him. Anyone can watch. If youre watching, please sub this thread. I would like to keep everyone in on the action.

Setting: The Training room. It is a featureless, ever changing landscape that is built to help train Knights. Think a blank training room from Xmen with no walls or cieling. For other people, think an endless time hollow that changes its landscape.

This fight will take place starting rusty weapon vs rusty weapon. Both me and Rey will have the GM abilities to obtain a new weapon (melee or bow only) as ours break. We will keep this fight fair with no abilities. To stary, each of us has been given a rusty longsword and a round wooden buckler on our back, as well as simple tunic, shirt, and pants to wear, as well as shoes of simple leather. No special armor. Armor shall not be summoned. As a fair statement, for every 10 attacks made, there should be at least 3 injuries taken if the other person does, in fact attack. If they simply defend, this tule becomes null. If you defend, then you may reduce it to 1 injury every 20 defends. This will not be a problem, however, since we are both excellent swordsmen both in and out of game. We will stay as honest as humanly possible.

Now that we have witnesses to the set rules, I shall start off with my move. If you catch a broken rule that we do not, feel free to PM one of us so that we can fix our mistake.

I smile to myself as I lower the hood on my tunic and gently unsheath my rusty longsword. I feel the power of the hand-and-a-half hilt and swing it in a few crossing arcs in front of.my own body. I watch my opponent from the 50 yard sgarting range that I was given and chuckle as I see him return my glance. This will be a very fun duel.

Putting up my own hood i draw my sword and spin it around a few times in my own chaotic style. I smile at the familiar weight of a blade in my hand. I call out "Are you ready for this old friend?" And i walk forward a couple paces

"If you are, man!" I call back and begin running forward at a steady jog.

As i draw near, I spin the blade back in a windmill once, then twice and thrust it forward, using the weight and momentum to carry my lighter and agile body forward in a great lunge, straight towards Rey's stomach.

Anticipating this gap-closing attack, i quickly flick my wrist as showdown begins his lunge, catching the bottom of the tip of his sword, and swinging my arm, deflect the blow. I spin around him aiming a broad horizontal slash towards his sword-arm.

I duck low, and the sword barely misses my head. I tuck and roll to behind Rey, swinging asweeping strike at his legs from my right to left, aiming for his knees.

Rolling forward after showdowns dodge, the attack catches me in my heel, slicing through the leather, and mildly grazes my foot, spinning around i say "whew, close one, that was almost nasty" then bringing an overhanded slash, which i quickly switch midstrike, into a horizontal sweep aimed at showdowns chest

I bring up my sword to catch the vertical strike, but as I stand up, the strike has changed. Relying on my quick reflexes, i jump back, but the tip of the blade slices across my chest. I grimace at the cut, but give a relieved sigh as it is not bleeding.

"Good. Don't wanna get tetnis. (i think that's how it's spelled)"

I flip my sword in a reverse windmill strike, then , no matter whether I hit blade or flesh, I spin my sword in a counterclockwise motion over my head and bring down a heavy strike from top right to bottom left, bringing my right foot forward to step on Rey's foot to prevent a dodge unless he can move his foot in time.

Steps into your strike, catching the blade with my blade, pulling towards me, pinning the flat of your blade between my body and the flat of mine, then in a pivoting motion i twist your wrist, forcing the sword out of your hand and onto the ground behind me. I point my sword at you, pick yours up, and extend my arm to return it. "Nice moves. I learned that one from a irl duel between myself and a good friend of mine "

I smile and nod.
"I am actually surprised. I honestly didnt see that obe coming. How about, we change our scenery a bit?"

The scene changes to a forest with towering trees and rough foliage and underbrush and unstable and unlevel terrain. I smile and turn towards a tree with low-lying branches and quickly do a step up the tree onto the first branch, then do a series of jumps and flips to reach a higher branch. I look down at Rey.

"Coming?"

i say, jumping to a tree next to him,
"Already here, the question is, are you? " i say with a smirk, leaping through the air above showdowns head, exchanging a few blows as i turn a flip, and land on a branch opposite him "come on, but don't fall behind" i quip, taking off through the trees, headed towards a cliffside waterfall
