Artifacts OOC

So as I've discussed in the int check, each of our characters are friends that discover an artifact that gives them unique powers. The powers could be simple or complex, and I will deem whether they are to powerful or not. Don't want to be an ass, but GM's (me) word is final.

Also in my int check, I've explained that this isn't first come first serve. You apply with a character sheet and out of those who apply, I shall choose 3 to join and that's it, sorry if we get more.

So to give everyone an idea of what the finished product should look like

Name: Jin Hozaki

Nicknames: Ryuu

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Personality: Normally a calm and casual guy, Jin is not the type of person that can be easily pissed off. When he is annoyed, he doesn't go into a blind fit of rage, but instead goes from carefree to serious and calculating. He doesn't become a whirling body of anger but instead a focused combatant, knowing where and how to strike to put people down. He can also be quiet intimidating, but he never lets his anger consume him.

Appearance:

Background: Jin is a 2nd generation American, his two parents both being 1st generation Americans, and his grand parents on both sides being immigrants from Japan. He was born and raised as any other American child, but he also learned martial arts from his grand father on his dad's side and his father. He learned their family's own martial arts simply known as "Dragon Fist" or Ryuu Ken. He is especially skilled in this martial arts style and he has used it to fight in real life. Except against his family, he has never lost a single fight.

He fought when he was 11 and won with a single hit. From then on he was dragged into fights for about 3 more years until he had enough. He fought for the last time against a large group and beat them all, his family deciding to move so Jin could relax. He earned his nickname "Ryuu" which was japanese for dragon. In his new town, he made a good circle of friends and lived a normal life so far. He just wants to be normal.

Powers: As of right now, Jin's power is that his body's strength and durability is about 6 times the average human's strength and if he focuses enough, he can manifest a field of energy that looks and feels like blue fire surrounding his hands and feet.

So, just to be clear, everyone's intro post will be a slight look into their perspective of finding the artifact, and from there skipping to about a week later, them meeting up on the weekend to discuss their powers and such further.

I can wait to see the CS's we get.

Name: Alexandria Drake
Nicknames: Angel
Age: 17
Gender: Female

Personality: Alexandria is a very hyperactive teen with a slight case of Multiple personality disorder. Depending on what she is doing throughout the day her personality could be looney and crazy or Strategic and Calculative. When she is not either she is still hyperactive and usually has a hard time sitting down for a long period of time.

Appearance:

Background: Alexandria life has been full of happiness and contentment. Never once has she had to fight her way to get anything and has always been looked upon as an angel in a bleak world. Throughout middle school and high school she has always been part of track and field and the cheer leading squad. When she was a young girl she enrolled in a gymnastics gym and had excelled in it. As she had grown older her family thought she would have to protect herself. With her family's backing she enrolled in an academy for the Martial Art style of Brazilian jujitsu a mostly defensive combat style on which she would be able to protect herself.

Powers: Ability to Manifest White Angelic wings as well as the ability if she puts her mind to it to Telekineticly move objects.

Do you have something in mind for the angel wings in the future? If not I don't see the need for them as she has telekinesis. There's no link between the two powers so maybe establishing something between them, or even just having a future development for them. That's what I'm doing for the fire and physical powers on my character. I just need something to explain why she'd have both lol

Name: Jack Lau
Nickname: "Jackie Chan"
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Personality: Jack is a positive, upbeat person whose philosophy is to do what you can do and don't worry about what you can't do. He approaches most topics and situations with a rational mind, and he tries to see both ends of every argument. His reluctance to discount ideas makes him hesitant to make lasting decisions, and he usually makes decisions randomly if he feels that he lacks enough information. His adherence to rational actions often results in ignoring rules or social norms if Jack disagrees with them.
Appearance: Jack is a friendly-looking fellow with bushy eyebrows, a wide nose, a wide jaw, and a wide smile. His innocuous sports cut can be seen coming out of every discount hair salon in town. His face would never make the cover of a magazine and equally unlikely to ever show up on a prison mugshot. He has a look that makes him seem nonthreatening and trustworthy, though sadly not attractive. He has an athletic, slightly shorter-than-average build.
Background: Jack's life revolved around self-improvement and having fun. His parents taught him the value of a healthy diet and exercise from an early age. Every morning is early to rise, and every night is early to bed. He enjoys his lifestyle since the few times he strayed from it he felt sluggish and irritable. Although he exercises and studies for a sizable portion of each day, neither are hobbies for him.

Jack was inspired by martial arts movies from a young age. For a time, he wanted to be a kung fu hero too, but he gave up after he was knocked out in a single hit by some eleven-year old in the town where he used to live. The event, more than being embarrassing, taught him that fighting was unpleasant. He still loved the acrobatics in his favorite movies though, and he would spontaneously try to run up walls or dive through open windows, emulating the movie stars. Over the years, free-running naturally became a hobby to him.

Jack attends the local university, pursuing a degree civil engineering, but he is a familiar face at the local high school as a volunteer tutor.

Powers: Jack has "sticky" powers. He can stick to anything he touches, and he can cause things he touches to become sticky while holding onto them. For example, if he makes a rope sticky, he can throw one end of the rope to a ceiling and have it stick. His power only works on solids.

Name: Alex Stark
Nicknames: Snow
Age: 18
Gender: Male

Personality: ''Naturally talented, but directionles'', is the way most people would describe Alex Stark . He's a fearless daredevil, a dedicated friend, and a bastion of untapped potential, but he feels that something critical is missing from his life. He thinks its best to live in the now not fearing for whats coming or regretting the past, As his always saying ''Why look to tomorrow when I am alive today''.
Appearance:

Background: Alex was born and grew up in England living with his parents and younger brother. His farther was a wealthy man making his wealth young age he always pushed Alec to be like him. His farther was never really happy with anything less then best this never got to Alex as he never tried to be like his farther. When he was 14 his farther left for a business trip overseas never to return this hit Alex's brother harder than him and didn't seem to affect his mother who was remarried within the year. His mothers new husband lived in the US making the whole family move over there to live.

Joining a new school was hard but he soon managed to gain a group of close friends and life seemed normal once more. For his 16th birthday his stepdad took him and his brother skiing where Alex had an accident and was buried under a small layer of snow, which is where the nick name snow came from. His mother and stepdad have been on him about getting his place in college but he doesn't quite know where he wants his life to go, His fairly intelligent and has high grades without much effort. He played on few teams but never really enjoyed himself so didn't carry it on spending most of his time away from school with friends.

Powers: The artifact enhanced his mind and senses enabling him to read waves and signals like the wifi and cellphone signals. When he watches someone doing something he is able to copy them allowing him to learn new skills faster as long as his body can take it. His sense of smell and hearing are enhanced to.

@Calvin, I like the character but I would like to see the power toned down. There's nothing wrong with it, its all logical and works for the type of power, just for a single week of having it seems a little much. I want one of the major aspects of the rp to be development of each person's abilities, so just take some away so he has more to build into later on

@NakedToast, I'm not sure what you mean by "read" waves. Can he tap into them and hear phone conversations, connect to the internet with his minds through wifi, or something else? Just a better explanation of this part please.

Powers : He is able to turn to stone but remain agile (powers begin with his hands only turning to stone Controlled by emotion )

@Soul Alcehmist, everyone has put down a paragraph for personality and for backgrounds at least, please flesh it out more if you really want a shot of getting into the rp. Same for the appearance as well since our other described appearance is fleshed out well
