And with a staff. And to answer your question, how does anyone kill anything? With force, Bruce Lee could paralyse a man with a punch, no imagine that done to a wolf, or better yet a human during medieval times, their health was awful back then and a hit like that could kill them. Also a staff is deadly in battle, ever seen the mists of Pandaria advert? Look at the panda in that.
