Ted walked down the path between Oldale Town and Petalburg City, holding Lauren's hand as the twigs broke underfoot, warm and content with her next to him. The sky was gradually darkening, the moon appearing over the trees, shadows disappearing into the darkness. Smiling warmly at his dear twin, his hand gripped her's tighter, allowing him to have a good hold.

Lauren grumbled to herself quietly as she walks along with her brother, one hand in his, the other tightly gripping the strap of her backpack as it slipped haphazardly off her shoulder. She hated when Ted held her hand, only complying because it made him happy. That's all she wanted really - his happiness was key to hers. She'd tried to explain this to her friends, as an excuse to why she was following him all over the pokemon world, but they didn't understand. Maybe it was just a twin thing; together at birth gave you one hell of a bond.
"Brotheeeeer~ Where are we going next?" she asked him, her tone a sickly shade of sweet. She looked down at their conjoined hands, glowering slightly out of his sight, before turning a bright grin towards his face.

Ted blinked, thinking as he let her hand go, looking at her. "If you don't want to hold my hand, tell me. I won't be sad. So long as I still get hugs at night. Anyway, Petalburg City is next. The gym there isn't able to be challenged untill we have the first four badges.". Ted smiled warmly at her, grabbing her bag and hitching over his back.

She shook her head, taking his hand back in hers.
"No, of course it's fine if you hold my hand. You are my big bubba after all." she smiled, taking her bag off him, replacing it on her shoulders. "Although I draw the line at you carrying my bag for me." Lauren sighed, walking along the route with her brother, not a care in the world, apart from mentally prepping herself for the first gym battle that is.
