    Roll for initiative.

Wow, you were actually foolish enough to click on this, erm, I mean, welcome fair travelers to my interest check! I am Odinson, but I'm guessing you knew that part already, I have been roleplaying for quite a few years now. In recent times however I haven't been able to as much as I like, which has made me a little rusty. So to cure this I was hoping to find somebody to give me that push and keep me on my toes.

Lately I've been craving a good old fashioned, multifaceted, high adventure campaign. Something with a vast and expansive world to explore, a place with various factions and individuals to make friends or foes out of, multi-dimensional characters who's personality and past are integral to the story, fantastic dangers, powers and scenarios, all of that good stuff.

Like a lot of us here though I have a few clauses to go over.

*You must be literate, in that you should be able to describe people, events, and objects in explicit detail. I don’t have “minimum words” count, if the post flows coherently enough that’s usually enough for me. Though if I may suggest, posts should maintain around at least three paragraphs.

*I have a job, meaning I can’t be around all of the time, during the evenings is when you’re least likely to get a hold of me. Likewise I’ll understand if rl prevents you from communicating as well, just try to keep in touch during the week.

*I am male, and usually I play males. I can double, but I can’t say my female roleplaying is as strong however I will try my best.

*In regards to romantic involvement between characters, know that it has to serve the story and feels like natural character development, these are fictitious people, not dolls, and at no point should I have to explain the difference. I only do MxF.

*I’m perfectly fine with violence and cursing, however I prefer anything of a sexual nature to be of minimum and more implied than anything else. Call me “prude”, but I never feel that such situations add much to the storytelling in the first place. Violence and cursing should be regarded in a similar manner. There is a distinct difference between “violence” and “gore”, one gives gritty realistic detail, and the other can become ridiculous or even cartoonish. Cursing should reserved for characters it comes naturally to, or when it feels natural for a character to use that kind of language, not everyone has tourette’s syndrome.

*Tell me your ideas! By nature I am a very creative person, but a lot of times in RPs I’m in it’s usually me that come up with a lot of the ideas, but I want you get involved! As the old saying goes, two heads are better than one.

*I’m strongest and most comfortable in grandiose and fantastic settings. Ones of large scope and can supply quite a few distinct feeling characters, characterized by the world they live in. Often this falls into high fantasy, or galactic space fairing settings, but I’ll try anything if the world is large and nuanced enough. Inversely, contemporary, or slice of life settings are what I’m weakest at, as they don’t hold much interest to me, and characters I create here are often weak and uninteresting as well.

*As for fandoms, I have my own but I’d rather not list them, I don’t want to feel like I’m imposing. If you want to do a fandom based RP tell me what it is and I’ll see if I’d like to do it. Just don’t rely on them.

*Generally speaking I prefer long term RPs. That is, in terms of story and length, it should resemble a series rather a one-off, with many rising and falling actions that build up to an end, or “end” as the case may be, instead of only building action to one climax.

If there is one specific request that I must make, it would be to run a D&D RP. You need not necessarily know anything about D&D as technically we could customize anything we want about it, or simply borrow from wikis. But I’ve been itching to play a medieval fantasy for a while now, and why not use one of the most prolific roleplays to do the job?

I would most certainly be interested in rping with you. My favourite genre by far us fantasy, especially that in a medieval setting, and I play D&D (3.5 if specifics are necessary :P). I also tend to have a preference for female characters, love having hordes of them at that, and quite frankly enjoy creating worlds (being a writer hobbywise). PM me!

You sound wonderful! I am all for starting something with you
Crazy or not, that kind of love never dies.
