Roy's morning started off as it usually did: him waking up alone. His parents died a few years ago in a flood that wiped out his entire village. Luckily, some of them were able to survive and were now thriving once again. Sighing, the boy ran his hand across his face, trying to erase thoughts of that horrible day. It made him depressed and he didn't like to feel like that often. Standing, he stretched and grabbed his hand made bow before exiting his hut.
Most of the villagers were awake and busy this time of the morning; the sounds of children's laughter joined with the soft humming of women as they began to start their own chores for the day. "Good morning Roy!" An elderly woman by the name of Lipera called from her open window. She took care of the boy when untill he was able to live on his own. "Where are you headed off to today?" "To the beach. I'm running low on food." He replied with a small smile before running off into the surrounding woods where he felt free and alive.
Once down at the beach, Roy was surprised to see a body and not just any body, one dressed is shredded foreign clothes. Curiously, he walked towards the male and poked him with the edge of his bow. No response. He then reached down and felt his neck. A very light pulse, but it was something. Silently, he garabbed the man and hoisted him onto his back before carrying his back to his village, leaving his bow and arrow behind on the beach. The next few minutes were quite hectic, since everyone was trying to get a glimpse of the strange species of man. It took a while, but Roy finally got them to go away so she could finally get the man to wake up.
"Bangun. Bangun." Wake up...wake up...
