Scion was spinnin' around, so Big Tex took the easier shot. If ya ever get taught how ta shoot guns professionally then ya'll learn that ya always want ta take the easiest shot. Due to the spinnin', the only body part o' Scion's that was remainin' even remotely still was his neck.
