"This is not a game, this is the aftermath of war, death's battle field, and we will fight till the bitter end." Spade spoke harshly and to no one in particular. The remaining rebels stared up at him with respect and Spade wondered if maybe...just maybe he was becoming a monster.

He had seen people consumed by vengeance and hate, lost to the void within themselves. He didn't want to become that kind of man, but he would do anything to obliterate the household of Nevermore. The hate began to creep in and he frowned because slowly he was becoming just like her. His stupid and hatred-driven student.

He saw the noose beneath the oak tree and something inside of him snapped. "I refuse to become a monster." He had mumbled quietly, the other rebels gave him a skeptical look and he forced a smile. "There are two paths." He had mumbled vaguely. "My friends...there is a way to become good again."
