Oooooooh, count me in! This sounds brilliant.
Before you ask questions, just read the little blip for understanding. It's choppy, but eh, just something of a taste of the RP info from one of the main characters.
Dear Whoever Finds This Letter,
Have you ever jolted awake? It's like you're falling, and right before you hit the ground--BAM! Wake up time! Rumor has it that if you do hit the ground, you die in your sleep. Come to think of it, there are a ton of misconceptions about sleep. If you sleep facing up, you'll have nightmares. If you eat cheese before bed, you'll have nightmares. If you die in your sleep, you die in real life.
Trust me when I say that NONE OF THAT IS TRUE.
Well, most of it anyways.
The Dream Realm is a little more complex than that. You see, certain people are born with this weird connection to it--they don't just roam their own dreams. Not only can they pop into a stranger's mind, but they can actually interact with them--crazy, right? But you've got to trust me here, I might just save your life. These people are called Sleepwalkers--get it? When they're asleep, they don't possess their own dreams; they are fully aware of everything and can access the mind of any other person who is sleeping and dreaming. Since it is the mighty Realm itself, they've the power to conceal themselves or change their appearance entirely--I know, it sounds like a dream.
You might be thinking that being a Sleepwalker is incredible. You can sleep with the cutie you've been crushing on, hang with your buddies past 8, see what your husband really dreams about.
You can even kill someone.
Remember how I said if you hit the ground, you die? Yeah. That's the true part. Sleepwalkers are the ones who catch you right before you slam into the ground a la death. Your brain nearly loses itself when it feels you slipping away, but we give it that jump start back into action. It's sort of our job to save people, and every Sleepwalker knows that. No one in Sleepwalker history has ever let a human fall. Ever.
Nightmares, on the other hand...
I freaking hate Nightmares. You might be thinking 'Oh yeah, I had a nightmare that zombies killed my entire family and were after me and I couldn't dial 911 because my phone wouldn't work and I woke up sweating and freaked out.' That's not a nightmare. That's a dream caused by a Nightmare. Oh yeah, Nightmares are also the ones who, as opposed to catching you right before you hit the ground, drag you face first into it.
Splat.
You're dead.
Now you know why I hate them. Not only that, but they're sneaky. Sometimes, Sleepwalkers see that a person who is falling is already being saved, so they move on. You can see why Nightmares would love that--that and the fact that you can disguise yourself in the Dream Realm.
I. Freaking. Hate. Nightmares.
Fortunately, Nightmares are slow. It takes a lot more to time to yank someone down than it does to catch them--oh, Dream logic--and they scatter as soon as we catch them pulling people down.
Sorry for all the explaining-junk. Sleepwalkers and Nightmares are a semi-big deal to me. The world population would surely plummet without them--a good AND a bad thing. There aren't a bunch of them; actually, the count for Sleepwalkers in North America is currently 4,032 (They have meetings about informative junk).
It's okay if you don't believe me. It's a lot to take in. You probably like to be in charge of your own life, and to know that there is something going on when you're asleep is too much for you. But next time you wake up after that falling feeling, give a little thank you.
We Sleepwalkers work very hard to keep order when everyone else is asleep on the job.
-Matthew; Your Neighborhood Friendly Sleepwalker
P.S. If you find out you're a Sleepwalker, contact me ASAP. I'd hate for the Nightmares to get to you first.
The RP will have to do with Sleepwalkers, Humans, and Nightmares. There are secrets I've yet to reveal. Any ideas, I'd love them. It's shakey. XD I hope for maybe finding out who is behind the nightmares, or drama between Sleepwalkers. I don't know. Interested?

Would our characters be sleep walkers or nightmares or is that up to us?
Thanks Lillian for the awesome sig~!
Up to you guys! Though, I suppose it should be even. When the OOC goes up, I might put up a list of available roles.
Okie dokie. Sounds awesome~
Thanks Lillian for the awesome sig~!
Haha thanks
This sounds very interesting! I'm definitely up for it
If I am randomly MIA, it usually means I'm far too busy with medical school. I'll try and make a notice before any one of my leave of absences.
Cool beans!
Also, I'm a little new around this specific site. How long should I wait before I post the OOC?
