Three years ago, the world began to change. It started with the western territories. What had once been prime farmlands and lush forests slowly began to grow dark. Crops stopped growing. Cattle began to die. The forests grew dark and menacing, their branches twisting and turning, knotting until they no longer resembled their former selves. Those animals that did not die turned aggressive, attacking without warning. Some even mutated, growing larger, turning to man-eaters. Most of those from the western lands were forced to seek refuge in other lands. Now, the Sickness, is beginning to spread. In areas as far north as Asgal'Dar are seeing changes. Animals becoming aggressive in the forests where the rivers run. Crops in certain areas refusing to grow. Thankfully, the Sickness has yet to spread as badly as in the West, though it is no less troubling. Something must be done. Yet while Kings and Lords send knights and soldiers to the west to try and find out what is happening, their efforts fail. No one has yet to return from the West...and many have stopped all communication.
As things begin to worsen in Ravenwood Hallow, a young Rivala finds herself on more than a quest to save her beloved forest. It is a quest to save all of Shirilda.
You are the Guardian of an ancient sword. Protected for hundreds of years by a dragon, your spirit was infused with the sword long ago. For many years, you lay dormant. Then, three years ago, something evil began to stir, and woke you from your slumber. Yet the dragon who protected you could never release you. Then, one fateful day, darkness crept into the dragon's cave. Another dragon, driven mad from evil, fought with your protector. The two of you fled, you being still trapped inside the sword and unable to help. The battle ended in Ravenwood Hallow, many, many miles from your home. While your protector defeated the evil dragon, he also suffered great wounds himself, leaving you defenseless as his life passes away.
By some strange fate, you are picked up...And released! When your eyes adjust to the light of the forest, you find yourself face to face with a young Rivala with strange eyes. It was she that released you. But the mere fact she could even pick up your sword says volumes. Now, you will journey with her, and help to save Shirilda once again. But was your release coincidence?...Or is the girl you travel with something much more than she appears? Only time will tell.
Your release will be done in the intro of the roleplay and seen from the point of my character.
You are immortal. Because you are the Guardian of the sword, you cannot be killed unless the sword itself is destroyed. You can be harmed, but not killed, and going back into the sword will heal any wounds you have.
You will have a human-like appearance. (I say this because you can look like an elf, have wings, or even dragon-shaped eyes... You just can't have scales and claws.)
You are a good guy.
I have a few ideas as far as the astral aspect of your character. Option 1: You first appear as a sort of ghost-like apparition and solidify and grow more powerful as time goes. Option 2: You appear in full flesh, but grow more powerful the longer you are in the physical plane.
I will be playing a young Rivala, which is a race I've made up. I'll give more details about the race if I get any interest. What you should know now is that all Ravala have wings of one kind or another. Their eyes are slit like a dragon's. Innate abilities include the dragon's ability to understand and speak the language of each race, and the ability to change their size, though they cannot get bigger than a barbarian.
My character will have two other powers to begin with. The first is a kind of shield that creates a protective barrier while at the same time blending into the surrounding area. (Camo). The second is the strange ability to be able to use your sword even when you are in the astral plane inside of it.
- Activiy - I'm looking for someone who can post at least three times a week, though the more the better.
- Powers - Your character can have between 1 and 4 other powers other than what's outlined in the info about your character.
- Creativity - I'm looking for someone who will collaborate with me and help me move the story along. Someone who will add their own twists and turns into the roleplay and not just let me do everything.
- OOC - We will have an OOC thread for the roleplay so that plots and such can be discussed.
- PM or Thread ONLY -That's all I'll be doing this roleplay on.
- Level - I will take up to 2 versions of this rp. Remember that this is high-casual to advanced roleplay ONLY. One-liners will NOT be acceptable.
- Proper use of gramar and punctuation is required. I get spelling mistakes. They happen to everyone. But if your sentences are riddled with them all the time and they run together without any sort of stops or starts, I'll get very annoyed very quickly.
Right then. Post here or send me a PM if you're interested in the roleplay.
