Name: Derek Montgomery (He prefers to be referred to by his surname, though.)
Age: 38
Appearance:
Personality: He's a calm and committed man who has a tendency to get to into what he's doing. He's frank and decisive, almost to the point that some would consider him harsh. He's also quick to annoy. When angry, he does not usually scream, he prefers to just make sarcastic quips since it's apparently "easier and longer-lasting." To his underlings, he comes off as an obsessively perfectionistic guy and to others, as a bit of a jerk, but that's due to the amount of dedication he puts into everything he does.
Job: Police Chief
Things brought into the underground: Admittedly, not much aside from his coat and his glasses. While he bring pack a suitcase, it was mostly filled with old books. He does have a few other things, though. Such as a letter from his father and some old coins he's convinced are worth something.
Likes: Reading, order, cigarrettes and respect.
Dislikes: Crime, small-talk, rebellion for it's own sake and being touched.
History: Derek was raised in a modest middle-class home as an only child. Ever since his youth, he was always a bit of an introvert. The rest of his life was fairly uneventful and he rarely mentions it in the present due to the fact that he doesn't consider it relevant in any conversation. After he saw the announcement, he was one of the last to get into the shelters. As such, he barely had a thing to his name. Still, he did adapt faster than the others, most likely because he wasn't really leaving anything behind of importance.
Other: Niet, I guess. I don't really know what I can add here. A theme song? Maybe "When I Was Young" by The Animals.
