    A Predicamented Roleplay

    Obligatory story-time
Once upon a time, coincidentally in a world exactly like the one you live in, there was a group of people who liked to roleplay online. They were much like the ones browsing this thread. They had recently begun a roleplay campaign set in a classic fantasy world on a friendly play-by-post roleplaying site, much like the one you’re an active member of. The apparent, cliché goal of this roleplay was to overthrow the evil king’s regime, who ignored the voices of his people. None too much impressed by the storyline, the group complained to their Game Master, urging him to spice it up a bit. Very alike the king in the campaign, their Game Master decided to ignore the groups’ complaints. Yet being good-natured roleplayers, they grudgingly went along anyway. When all their characters had been submitted, tweaked and approved, the In-Character thread was put up. After their first evening of posting, all but the GM went to bed feeling none too optimistic about the campaign. Tired from the day’s disappointments, they quickly fell asleep. Yet instead of finding their dreams, they found themselves inside the very same fantasy world in which they had so recently begun their clichéd campaign.

    Plot
You, a group of normal people, find yourself in the exact same situation as the people in the story depicted above. You will roleplay normal people trapped in a medieval fantasy world. None of you know how this happened. All you know is that it is happening. The GM you all dislike has also been sucked in, taking on the role of the evil king. The GM finds himself so intrigued by being master in the domain he created, he decides it doesn’t matter how it happened. As experienced roleplayers you will reason that the only way to return to your real lives is by finishing the campaign; to defeat the king, the lame Game Master. But it will prove difficult, as he will do anything in his power as king to try stopping you from achieving this. He’s having too much fun to let you ruin it all.

    Characters
You will play normal people from the contemporary world, with no real fighting skills. You would just be a group of people. You could have skills which would prove handy in a medieval society, but there’s a credibility limit. However, as the roleplay progresses, you will learn skills and perhaps even magic. Also, as roleplayers, you’ll probably have extensive knowledge of medieval times. I will take on the role of the evil Game Master in the form of the king as well as neutrally controlling the environment as this roleplay’s GM.

    Notes
If you have any questions or inquiries, please don’t hesitate to call your nearest supplier of dairy products. Or if you prefer, PM me or voice it down below. I don’t want this to be a huge roleplay. I will set the limit to four people not including myself. Character applications will be judged based on quality, not first come first served.

Haha, trapped in other worlds plot. Tell me, are the details of the world all sussed out, or can players take part in world building?

The richer the world, the better. I trust people to add only what they feel is fitting in the world I have outlined.

It's supposed to be fun first of all, yes. All the rules for an Advanced Roleplay go into account though.

Oh, holy hell. This sounds epic! What kind of character application are you going to be looking for, like just the typical baseline sheet? I'd love to get started on one, being that both of my questions have already been answered.

I will not require extensive character sheets. If not too many are interested, I probably won't have you submit character sheets at all. Character introduction can be done in the first post. People can submit character sheets if they want thugh. The OOC-thread will include a CS skeleton.

And I'm okay with shooting animals and eating their meat, too. I also hate cats.

This is just in. The OOC-thread will open sometime tomorrow night (GMT). In addition, I will have you write character sheets. Nothing fancy required, just a rough outlining of the character you'll be playing. Further details on applying, the CS skeleton and other useful stuff will be included in the aforementioned OOC-thread.
