Krescent was locked up in her room, curled up in her bed. She sure hoped Zeyphr was ok. He had been gone for hours.

—Zephyr—
Two hours. He'd been running for two whole hours. Zephyr's breath came out in short gasps as he kept running on the treadmill. His lungs felt like they were on fire and his legs and feet had gone numb an hour ago. Every time he tried to stop, an electric current ran up his spine, intensifying in power with each shock. He wasn't sure how much longer he could keep going like this. I'm being treated like a freaking lab rat. That thought triggered something inside of him. Fueled by newfound fury, Zephyr yanked off the EEGs and ECGs connected to his body and jumped off the treadmill. Immediately, two heavily muscled men walked into the room, but before they could grab him Zephyr ran between them and out the door, past the baffled scientists, and into the long white halls of the Facility. On instinct her turned left and ran as fast as he could.
It's okay. You said you would be busy today, so I understand.
Zephyr's breathing was even more shallow than when he was on the treadmill. His adrenaline rush was quickly fading. He looked over his shoulder to see how close his pursuers were. They were only five feet behind him. Zephyr looked ahead in time to see the hallway branch off in two different directions. He tried to backpedal before he ran into the wall and ended up tripping over his own feet. As his head smacked the hard floor Zephyr closed his eyes, accepting defeat. He fell into an unconscious state and was carried to the room he shared with Krescent. His body was roughly thrown onto the floor of the room and the door locked as the people left.
Krescent gasped and stumbled off her bed, falling on the concrete floor with a thud. She crawled over to him, and turned him over. "Zeyphr....Hey you ok?" She shook him a little, pressing her ear against his chest. Her soft, blue hair fell over his face.
Zephyr came back to reality with a start, sitting up quickly and knocking Krescent off of him. He grimaced and held his hand to the back of his head and felt a big bump there from where he had hit his head. He glanced at Krescent from under his bangs and attempted a smile. "Sorry."
