Sims Players: I has a question

Alright, so you know that I am new to this who shibang. I am confused on one aspect, though. I want to keep playing as my Sim and Dicklesworth's Sim but when I create the Spam Sims, I want to play as them, too. I have found a mansion I am thinking about using, and I know that I can merge households. If I merge the households, can I still play as both?

Haha, I hope that makes sense. It confuses me A LOT, so if some Sim player can tell me that (I know Bluerose plays Sims some....) I would greatly appreciate it.

If what you're asking is if you will lose control of Dicklesworth and your self-sim after you merge households, the answer is no. By merging households, you just have them all live in the same house.

If you're asking if you can play all of them at once in one house, then kinda. Merging households will put all the people that you've put together onto one lot, they all have to live together. This will allow you to play whoever you put into that household all at the same time but you can only have up to 8 people in one household at a time. Also if you're not cheating to fill up their stats you're gonna have a hell of a time managing 8 people at a time.

Do you know how to merge families?

Seba, yeah that sorta is what I'm asking. When I saw it on the Sims tutorial thingy, it said I would lose control and if that happens, haha.. Screw you, Spammers. xP

Squee you will be able to control all of the people in the house you're playing but the max people in a household is 8 so... Yeah. Also if you're playing that many and actually wanna have some fun with them I'd use cheats but that's just me )_)

    No.
I haven't even made anymore sims yet because I was scared about losing control.

On Sims 2 it was really simple, but I haven't played Sims 3 enough to give you in depth, step-by-step directions. Sorry Squee. I know you can definitely merge the households, though.
