Thread: Leviathan's Fang (Fairy Tail based rp) OOC

    Leviathan's Fang (Fairy Tail based rp) OOC

    So, to start off the OOC, just a quick recap of major points for those wishing to join.

    -Average post length, 3 paragraphs each 3-6 sentences.
    -Original Content, this includes magic. I might be convinced to allow canon magic, but definitely no lost magic (dragon slaying, god slaying, etc) none of that. The only big exception to this weapon magics, of course come up with original weapons but the magic type itself can be used

    Also, I want to establish our POSTING ORDER
    -Me
    -everyone else posts only once in response to my post and/or others before them
    -repeat

    Basically, I post the event, and then everyone's reactions to said event and we do this every round.

    Now the plot/setting of the rp. This is about a group of 4-6 friends that are all decently strong mages, so they decided to form a guild. There are no s-ranks currently, and really one of them is only the guild master because they needed one. Of course they won't start off as a completely legal guild, they'll need to do some work, get more well known, etc. and then become a legal guild.

    This is taking place before any of the events in the actual fairy tail manga, so no actual canon knowledge really needs to be known.

    So, now that the major stuff is out of the way, the fun stuff is next, and I mean CS's

    Name: Mia Magnes

    Age: 19

    Gender: Female

    Appearance:

    Sexuality: Don't matter to her

    Personality: Carefree would be an understatement when talking about Mia. She is a very easy going person that doesn't let her anger ever get the better of her. She doesn't stay calm most of the time and then go into a huge raging tangent to relieve her stress, she instead just takes a calm, casual approach to most problems and deals with them logically. She's fun loving and caring, and definitely don't mistake her casual personality as her only mindset. When she does apply herself fully, she is a forced to be reckon this, and this side of her usually comes out only if she absolutely has to try. She's taken the nickname "Sloth" with pride, as she doesn't mind being identified as a lazy being since most of the time she is. Still, she decided to help her friends and take the responsibility of their independent guild as the "guild master" so she isn't always so lazy.

    Background: Mia Magnes is not Mia's actual name, just what she chose to go by after discovering her magical abilities. She first discovered her magic ability at the age of five, when her mother dropped a knife that almost hit her in the head, but she stopped it in midair. She soon learned she could control metal with magnetic fields, and after studying a little more, she found that not only she could manipulate metal objects with magnetic fields, but she could manipulate the polarity of almost any object that her fields came into contact with. She also found that with her magic she could feel the range of her magnetic field since the fields themselves had no visibility. She discovered most of this by the age of 15, training her magic for 10 years straight.

    She came into the group of friends by gathering up all the kids in the town that could use magic themselves and decided to create a "guild" with them. It started out all fun and games, and many of the children quit as they grew older, and with Mia's ability to pretty much move anything, she became a bit lazy over the years. At 18, she saved a woman from a similar situation she was in when she was five, only with giant rock. She saved the woman in time and this gave her the conviction to gather the remaining friends that were still committed to the "guild' and actually create a real mage guild that would take jobs. Now, over a year later, Mia is preparing to set out with her friends to major city nearby in their country to start taking jobs and get their guild on the map.

    Magic: (I decided to change up my original magic as it was to boring after revisiting it) Magnetic Field Control. Mia has the ability to create and manipulate fields of magnetic energy which she uses to control the variety of metal weapons that she holds on her person. In addition, she can control the polarity of the fields she makes and of objects that her fields come into contact which, meaning she can push, pull, lift, and drop objects with her fields even if they aren't made of metal.

    Equipment: Because she can control metal objects easily with her power, Mia carries around 10 wires made of metal, 10 small throwing knives, a box of about 100 tiny metal balls, and a vial of mercury.



    Remember, this isn't first come first served. After a few days, I will decide who's in and who's out. At most, I'll accept 5 others, but if we get less than that, don't expect to automatically get in. I'm choosing based on which characters work better for a group dynamic.

    Name: Mikhail Wulferan Stavka

    Age: 21

    Gender: Male

    Appearance: I'll post a picture later, when I get around to drawing him. Mikhail is relatively small at 5'9" and quite slim. He has short-ish messy black hair and dark bags under his narrow, brown eyes. He wears a faded grey long sleeved shirt with a high collar, which is open in a shallow V at the front. A thick belt with two large pouches is wrapped around his waist and baggy black trousers which trail over tough, well-worn hiking boots. He always carries a large coffin on his back. His skin is pale, and has a grey tinge to it.

    Sexuality: gender doesn't matter, he hasn't really engaged in romance yet.

    Personality: Nervous and jumpy. He is always considering the possible outcomes of each of his action, or meanings of others'. At best you could say this makes him careful but at worst paranoid. He doesn't like to fight unless he knows what he's up against and as such adventuring is an unusual choice of profession for him, but he uses it as a way of keeping his powers in check. Mikhail makes friends slowly but one he's close to someone he'll trust them utterly, but finds outsiders unnerving.

    Background: Mikhail's clan were nomads who traveled from place to place. He soon discovered his magical ability when he was able to enhance his musculature to carry out work. He kept training this power until he was able to freely manipulate his flesh and bone. Mikhail found the work tiresome and seeking greater challenges sought out other magic users, eventually finding Mia Magnes and her "guild" . The coffin on Mikhail's back is a relic from his clan. The body of the great captain of the guardian of his clan, it is his duty to find the magic to talk to him and learn the location of their ancient homeland. Mikhail has an instinctual trust of Mia and believes that it is with her he will find the secret to talking to the clan leader. The coffin was entrusted to Mikhail due to his ability to manipulate flesh, they hoped one day he would be able to fix the leader's brain and restore him to life, but Mikhail realized as he grew stronger that this would always be beyond his ability. Now he carries the coffin in search of a person or artifact who can help him complete his quest.

    Magic: Flesh Make Magic: Mikhail can utilize his own body or the body in his coffin to create weapons of chitin, flesh and bone as well as enhancing his own musculature and changing his body shape. Mikhail generally attacks by first creating a weapon with the command 'flesh make' and then using it destroy the enemy.

    Equipment: The coffin on his back and basic adventuring supplies, like rope, food and flint.

    Gender: Male

    Appearance: Klaus is very large, standing at 6’4” and quite muscular. His hair is wild, curly and black as the night down to his chin. His gray blue eyes are framed by thick long lashes, making his eyes stand out more in comparison. He sports a small amount of black stubble, keeping it neatly trimmed. Klaus’ arms are covered in burn scars and cuts from his time as a blacksmith. His usual garb consists of a dark gray or black sleeveless tank-top with a black leather duster thrown on top, the coat tails coming down to his knees. A large belt is wrapped around his waist, full of pouches containing materials for repairing his creations. His lower half is covered with tight black pants with black steel-toed boots. He accessorizes with several leather thongs and chain necklaces around his neck. On his arms, on the off chance that he isn’t wearing his duster, he wears multiple leather and chain bracelets to cover his scars. His most prized possession is a ring on his left hand; it’s a silver ring with a large stone the same color as Klaus’ eyes.

    Sexuality: Klaus doesn’t trust enough to allow himself to become romantically involved with another, but gender has no sway over his feelings.

    Personality: It is a difficult task to earn Klaus’ trust but once he gives it, he tends to hold onto it with an extreme amount of determination. As such Klaus’ mind is focused, making strategies well in advance of whatever his task is, even to the point of completely planning his day the night before. Klaus is almost at all times quiet; but not because of gentleness, but because of hardness. His preferred course of direction is to take action rather than talk, but he does have a charming personality when he opens up. His mannerism is to remain calm and assess any situation with cool collected thoughts. But when he gets angry his wraith is lethal and difficult to contain.

    Background: Klaus was born into a family of four; his mother, father, and his younger sister alongside him. His sister was always the favorite among the two, but Klaus loved her greatly. While Klaus was more reserved, she was wild and carefree, always wanting to show Klaus prizes of adventure. They had the perfect life, at least for Klaus anyway. However that changed when a girl in the town known as Mia had called for all the kids in the town that possessed magic. Klaus sister was one of the kids that joined the so called “guild.” In the next few years Klaus and his sister drew apart as she delved into her obsession with magic while Klaus dove into the family business of blacksmithing. He always ignored her talks of magic, deeming it fantasies would end in nothing, whereas he became obsessed with metal work and carpentry. Eventually most of the kids left the guild, and Klaus’s sister was one of them. However in addition she also left town, leaving only a note and a ring for Klaus.

    It was only a few months after she left that Klaus discovered his magic, he had grown so lonely without his sister that he wished for a friend to talk to. In his spare time he carved wooden puppets to play with and vent his feelings to. One day however, the puppet responded, moving to Klaus’ will. Astonished, he began practicing his magic. He knew right there, that he needed to accept his gift and become strong enough to find his sister. The only way to do that would be to enhance his magic abilities, so he joined the group Mia some day wanted to turn into a guild. Over the years he became very skilled at controlling simple puppets, but he yearned for more and began crafting new puppets more suited to the life of a mage; a mage suited to assist Mia in her quest to become a legitimate guild and help people. While he does plan to help Mia and the guild, his main motive is to find his sister and get an explanation to as to why she left. He hopes to rectify their past and once again have her in his life, maybe even have her join Mia and his guild.

    Magic: Puppet Magic. By putting some of his essence into one of his creations, it would give the construct animation controlled by the caster as long as the link between the caster and the construct was kept up. The amount of essence determines the strength of the puppet. He would obviously use them for combat and other needs as he sees fit. Limitations would be that the puppets are limited to the caster's creativity and that without the essence they would be utterly useless. Also if the caster overexerts himself by infusing too much essence then he would pass out or possibly die.

    Equipment: Klaus carries many trinkets in his pouches, ranging from knives, to adventuring supplies to supplies to repair his puppets. Inside his leather duster, Klaus carries three puppets that are able to fold into small balls that fit in special pockets.

    His first puppet is an armored suit made of metal and wood. Once unfolded, it adheres itself to Klaus’ body and becomes a moving suit of armor as long as Klaus pours his essence into it. Preferring to make it more durable rather than impressive, it simply looks like an exact replica of Klaus, only made of various metals and wood painted all black.

    His second puppet is a close range combat construct. Once unfolded, it stands at roughly four feet tall and looked like something out of a nightmare. It was made of metal and wood, but painted to look like some kind of pale red demonic skin. It had curled horns on either side of its head which appeared to be reptilian in nature. Its eyes were painted a bright red, in sharp contrast with the razor sharp black spines that ran down its back and tail. The tail was tipped with a razor sharp barb that was also painted in the bright red. But the most fearsome feature was the two foot black claws that were attached to its hands.

    His third puppet was a long range combat construct. It was taller, a little under six feet tall and painted black. Its head was round and had many spikes piercing its skull which could be pulled out and thrown. Its arms were cannons, connected to the ammo supply contained in the construct’s chest. On its back was large shell, made solidly of metal which was used as a defense. It also allows the construct to roll into a large ball like an armadillo and roll around.

    Magic:
    Demon Aura: Ogre
    It surrounds the user inside the physical aura of a spectral ogre, deep blue in colour, the ogre manifests at around 10 ft high with a wide muscular stature. The ogre is used for physical attacks and is controlled by the users own movements within the aura, essentially using the ogre as an extension of themselves. The ogre has no mind of its own and wields a large axe within it's hands which can be discarded at will for favour of hand-to-hand combat. The aura serves as a physical shield also and is very durable, standing to harsh physical punishment. The user can manifest any part of the Ogre's body such as a leg, arm or head. But if the whole form is summoned it can bring stress and exhaustion to the user, limiting them to a certain amount of time until they collapse of exhaustion.

    Equipment:
    Medallion around his neck that acts as a clock, with roman numerals appearing upon it according to the hour but not the minute.

    Name: Colette ‘Collie’ Lyralei

    Appearance:


    Sexuality: Doesn’t care, open minded

    Personality: Colette is typically nice and friendly towards others even if she has never met them before. She is quite emotional, which is a problem for her to control the balance of magic she has, but she can quickly recover from it. Normally during the day she is more positive and happy as the shred of negativity inside her is undetectable. At night however it is the opposite as she is more vulnerable to fall into darkness. She does not hold back when it is night and her actions will be crueler than her solar counterpart. There are instances where the balance in her magic disrupts, especially when she feels emotional that can cause various effects on her depending what kind of emotion she feels. She has an uncontrolled habit of glowing and radiating heat whenever someone compliments her and lowering the temperature while turning pale whenever someone insults and hurt her feelings.

    Background: Colette discovered her magic when she was only nine years old where she had her first crush. She could not stop glowing whenever her crush passed her, back then she was very shy and often hid her face in her shirt. The constant glowing caused her to get teased on many times, at one point she was hurt by it discovering more effects of her magic. Luckily no one was hurt except for her own feelings during the time she was new at magic. Colette was properly trained by a local magician in her small village until she was twelve where she had a better understanding of her magic.

    Her trainer could see that she has a lot of potential and decided to teach her more advanced magic that would require her to travel away from home. After a long debate with her parents, she was allowed to go with Master Valarie. After five years of traveling with her it was time to go on her own for whatever lies ahead. She had loads of adventure from her travels with Master Valarie that will never forget. It was not long until she came into a town where she met Mia who decided to make a guild. She believes that following Mia would make her stronger and unlock her full potential in her magic.

    Magic: Cosmic Magic, more focused around solar and lunar. Her magic is most effective whenever solar or lunar rays are exposed and can perform many supportive tasks along with combat maneuvers. To balance out the energy she has stored within her, she must radiant everything around her time to time at a small scale so she doesn’t harm anything around her. During the day the surrounding area becomes dry while in the night it becomes cold. Let it be known her solar based magic depletes whenever the moon is out and vice versa. The moon and sun not only empowers her, but it also affects her personality and emotions. She wishes to branch out and discover more magic that she has locked up inside her on the road.

    Equipment: Aside from a metal staff, she carries two decks of card sized mirrors which she carefully places in areas where she would not get enough rays.

    Magic: Energy Magic. Radiant magic. She can use the sun’s rays in the daytime to make herself into a really painful radiator dehydrating the area surrounding her eventually turning it into sand if exposed greatly. During night, the opposite effect occurs. Everything surrounding her becomes cold and starts to freeze whenever the moon shines on her. Her magical power will not be drained unless somehow she is in an area where the rays are blocked entirely, a cloudy day for example. Both rays empower her and affect her emotions/personality.
