Plot
You are within the era of the sword, the might of the warrior land where Skill, Cunning, Steel, Fists, and forces unknown play the biggest part within your lives. However, despite this there is much honor that still remains within the land, even more so now that people understand one another through the way of combat. However, recently the shogunate has destabilized due to the assassination of the Shogun and his male Heirs, and due to this the Provinces are on the edge of all out war in order to determine who will become the next ruling family! They now call many able warriors to their sides and look for the 7 legendary swords of the first Shogun in order to prepare for what may come. However, the biggest question is who had done this and why? What would they gain apart from war? This and many other questions you will uncover...
You may be apart of the shogunate, one of the warriors hired by any of the hundreds of factions, you may even be one of the heads of the Provinces themselves. It doesn't matter, as you all have apart in this lands future.
Setting
This is a Land of Fantasy, it is a fictional land told in folktales and legend of feudal Japan, where anything from mountainous giant bunny golem of the moon tribe, all the way down to the simplest of kappa. This is the world where our story takes place and where your freedom of creativity is paramount to giving it a new breath of life, to build the world and setting around you, making it not only something you love, but also other people in the RP love. Within this world though there are some simple facts that you must know before trying to come up with anything, first of all the art style is like that of Okami... What? Because its funny!
One of the biggest legends know to warriors in this day and age is the one of the 7 blades, these blades are as perfect and unique as the gods themselves and yet strike as if processed if by a demon. No one knows the locations of these swords but all warroirs wish to own one in order to become stronger. Do you?
Ok, here are the big hitters; demons and gods cannot enter the mortal plane for no matter the reason, but they can have hosts and the like, ranging from animals, humans and even objects, but their powers are very limited because of this fact.
Next are the youkai, beings of strange beauty and scary intentions. Youkai is a term mostly associated with Japanese folk creatures and ghosts. The term can also apply broadly to anything that is a supernatural being or legend, from any culture, thats right, I am giving you a huge ability to make anything and even come up with a race of your own... Dragons are strictly monitored though and if uninteresting will be nerfed. Because there are thousands of stories of magical beings around the world, the different types of youkai are endless. Fairies, vampires, oni, and nekomata can all be found in in this world. Alternatively, it is a common Japanese belief that after a certain amount of time, ordinary objects and animals gain life and personality, becoming a kind of youkai as well known as a Tsukumogami. In some cases even a normal human can become a youkai under the right conditions.
Now, you may think I am going on and on about these, howeve, they are just as big apart of the world as humans, yes, within this world humans know of youkai. Though they tend to live within the wilderness, far away from human settlements. Lower youkai often, but not all the time, seem to behave like wild animals, attacking humans within their territory on sight. Exceptional youkai are less common, but they often enjoy speaking to humans. These youkai are almost always humanoid in appearance, and can be quite unpredictable; friendly one moment, hostile the next.
Many, though not all, youkai are known to eat humans on occasion, if not on a regular basis. Many youkai are also stronger and live longer than an average human, with lifespans often reaching into hundreds of years (or possibly more in some cases). One common trait often seen among youkai is a weakness to various faith based and spiritual attacks, charms, wards, etc. However, despite the danger certain youkai present, humans and youkai can and do live together. Some, are even helpful to humans.
Now, the humans within this world may seem like your normal, everyday humans, however, this is the age of the sword and the time of the warrior. Most, if not all adult humans carry around a weapon of some kind, be it out of samurai honor or Yakuza use, everyone has one, but what about use it? Though there are many master swordsmen, the true power of humans comes from their MANY, MANY styles of combat. Some have ninja ninpou, able to pull of tricks that would dazzle even the gods themselves, or Ki/Chi which can cause a normal persons body to become as hard and tough as rock, breaking walls with a single punch! The users of a secret power of their own, able to use magics that grant both great boons and falls to the one that uses them. Then there are the weapon masters, holders of arts of unknown power and grace. In the end it is they who decide their fate, and so shall you!

Skills are for those that use their sheer skill to overcome barriers. Anything unknown to these three types must be PM'ed to me. There is a small thing below for you to write cool moves on ^^.
