    (Short post due to situation.)
Scion was peeking around the alley corner trying to keep an eye on the statues when the water pipe suddenly burst and steam came blasting out instead of the expected water. Number 10 mistook this to be his doing, but he wasn't sure how to tell her he wasn't responsible for the steam. It was the first time she has shown any approval of him and it would seem like a step backwards to remove that approval. Luckily he din't have to come up with an excuse thanks to a sudden interruption to his left. He hear's the sound of a man calling out to them, so his first instinct was to sharply turn to the source of the voice. However he was standing to close to the wall, and the end of the hammer got caught as he turned. This moved the hammer head behind him, and the sudden shift in weight forced his hands up to keep his grip on the hammer. From the blurry perspective of the man with the gun it would look like he was getting ready to swing his hammer at him.

Big Tex fired Ol' Betty while the man was still in mid-spin. The man's spinnin' made the shot a bit harder to hit. As a result, the hollow point round punched inta the man's throat instead o' his eye. The entry wound (on the man's right side of the neck, near the windpipe) would be around a quarter o' an inch in diameter, the exit wound (on the left side o' the man's neck, partially coverin' the windpipe and mostly over the fleshy part o' the neck) would be roughly the size o' a golden dollar. The internal damage done would be tearing of the jugular (causing catastrophic internal bleedin') and rupture o' the windpipe (which would cause the blood ta start flowin' inta the lungs, drownin' Scion in his own blood). Big Tex slammed the hammer on Ol' Betty back and took a couple steps backwards. With his left hand, he signaled Little Rodeo to be ready for anything. With his right hand, he leveled the gun at the woman's eye and said, "This here fool o' a man may not have had bad intentions, but he ain't got a lick o' sense spinnin' round like that. Now, ah'm gonna ask ya only once more; why the @#$% are ya not in a panic like all the others?!"

Number Ten saw the strange newcomer shoot Scion, which was actually mildly funny in her opinion, but became angry when the same gun was pointed at her. She lifted her hands to her ear level and was thinking of ways to takek him out. The only problem was, she didn't know if she could take him out before he shot her. Unlike Scion, Number Ten couldn't recover from a shot to the neck. "The reason we're not trying to run away from the fight is because we're what's keeping the dolls from taking over the world. We're this Earth's last line of defense. Is that good enough of an answer for you?" she asked sarcastically.

"Well," Big Tex said, "that wasn't so hard, now was it? See, Ah'ma good guy too, so mind if Ah help wit' the doll invasion?" Big Tex clicked the hammer back to the safety position.

Number Ten was a bit puzzled by this man's odd way of asking to join in, but after looking back at Scion, she shrugged and said, "I don't see why not, but try not to shoot this guy again, he has a hard enough time doing things like turning, he doesn't need holes in him too."

Scion was a bit surprised to have a sudden hole in his neck and to be laid out on the ground bleeding to death. His body was already diverting energy and bits of matter from void to fill in the hole, and fix his body, but he was left on the ground listening to the conversation between Number 10 and what sounded like a Cowboy. By the time there conversation concluded that the man was going to be helping them the blood had stopped pouring and the hole in his neck had knit itself back together. He plants both his hands on the ground and pushes himself to his feet. He glares at Tex for a moment before grabbing his hammer and leaning it back on his shoulder he finally brakes his silence to say, "Next time, would you consider a warning shot before blasting someone in the jugular. I mean would it have really been that hard to shoot me in the leg or something?" He lets out a long sigh, "Look John Wayne it's nice you want to help, but I don't think one six shooter revolver is gonna do much against an army of toys, even if it's loaded with some nice hollow point rounds."

Big Tex was angry at the ornery little fella. “If ya knew the first thin’ about shootin’ it’s that ya take the easiest shot. Ya legs were dancin’ about like ya were a ballerina, so they were clearly not the easiest shot. Secondly, ya obviously ain’t been ‘coon huntin’ ‘fore so Ah’ll give ya a tip; Ya don’t gotta waste yer ammo on the small fry if ya take out the alpha first. Thirdly, ya obviously underestimatin’ Ol’ Betty here; she packs a heck o’ a wallop and Ah got me some tricks up mah sleeve. Ya did get one thin’ right, hollow point ain’t gonna do squat against dolls,” Big Tex said. He slid the chamber outta the gun and dumped the spent casin’ and the remainin’ five bullets onta the ground. He reached inside his ammo pouch and withdrew six bullets with red tips. (Incendiary Rounds; upon impact, incendiary rounds will release and ignite a small amount of nitrocellulose; burns for roughly thirty seconds and produces extreme temperatures; the visual appearance of the flames is highly similar to that of phosphorus burning).

Little Rodeo, who had been eyein’ the strangers, spoke up. “There are two rather large figures nearby, with one of them walking this way, pops. We’d best get moving, they’re hunting us down, I do believe. It won’t be long before they start taking bait shots into the steam.” Little Rodeo took his hands out o’ his pocket and flicked his wrist, upsettin’ the ground across the street, forcin’ the steam ta move in that area. This was ta see if the Nutcrackers would shoot at any movement in the steam, or if they’d just ignore it.

The moving steam did not go unnoticed by the second Nutcracker who had just arrived on the scene. It lifted its gun, took aim at the swirling steam, and fired. The shot slammed into the sidewalk and the Nutcracker had no idea as to whether or not it had hit its mark. The second nutcracker began reloading its gun while the first Nutcracker began backing up until it was out of the steam cloud. It too, lifted its gun and began looking for a target to hit.

Doll-Chan, getting flustered at the progress of the fight, hopped from rooftop to rooftop until she was on a rooftop of a building that was about twenty feet away from the edge of the steam cloud. She crossed her arms angrily and ordered the dolls that were on the ground in the steam to assist the Nutcrackers in lining up their shots. The dolls began standing on one another’s shoulders until the top ones were just barely poking out of the top of the steam cloud. They stumbled around trying to find the assailants. Once one of the stacked doll towers found the alley entrance, it turned towards the nearest Nutcracker and began pointing in the direction of the woman. The Nutcracker waited for the signal that meant that the shot was clear.

Number Ten saw a stack of dolls stagger to the entrance of the alley and begin pointing at her. “Aw crap, it looks like our time of resting is up.” She looked at Scion and continued, “You better be ready to go. This time, don’t fumble with the hammer. It’s useless if the dolls do to you what the cowboy did.” Number Ten turned back to the dolls and flicked her wrist at the base of the tower. Her metal spirit shot out and… missed the dolls. They had jumped over her metal spirit in order to avoid the attack. “Double crap, they learned how to fight against me.” She flurried her arms about, sending all four spirits in frenzy, trying to land at least one hit to topple the tower that was pointing out their position. Luckily, these were dolls with knives and not guns, or else they’d probably be dead. “I hope one of the two of you has something useful, because they aren’t going down.”

    (Some OOC talk)
If Scion were to try and do a horizontal swing with his hammer, the dolls would avoid the hammer just as they avoided the spirits. If Scion tries a vertical swing with his hammer, they would move into Scion’s dead zone (the area in which the head of the hammer can’t reach them, but off to the side of the handle) and use their knives to slit his throat. If any of the group were to step outside the alley, the dolls will give the signal and the Nutcracker will shoot and flatten the one who stepped out of the alley. If any of them were to get above the steam, the Nutcrackers would shoot them down. Also, at least two of the other stacks can see the alley entrance, so tackling the doll stack will result in the tackler getting shot by the Nutcracker.

Seeing that hurtling stuff at the dolls wasn't going to do much, Scion decides Number 10 is right and he is gonna need some more speed to get any where. He rests the hammer on the wall and quickly pulls an empty windup gun out and loads two bronze keys, both with an apple engraved on them, and starts winding them into the slots on the sides of the gun. ""Well the nut crackers don't exactly have a clear shot in this alley, so my plan is to run to the back of the alleyway and use the cover try to fly to the top of this building to see if I can get the drop on these nut crackers." he suggest. The goal in mind was to use the gravity key to redirect the weight of the hammer to make it easier to wield. He folds the grip if the gun back so that he could hold it along side the poll of the hammer and still keep a good grip on both objects.
