Basically every time Mahz says something about the site costing him a fortune, dozens of people jump in asking for a way to donate. So there are plenty of people who will donate willingly, which means that, if Mahz did turn to the userbase for cash (which he seems to be against considering how many times he's turned down even the idea of a way for people to donate), we could easily just go down this route rather than force people to pay money to gain access to the site or other features that are currently free, which is a huge smack in the face to people without the money to spend, or even to people who are simply young enough that they don't have a credit card to hook up to an online payment method. There have been plenty of times that I've liked to donate to things over the internet but I couldn't simply for that reason.

As mentioned, there's also the issue that anyone with money will be allowed to continue to be a dick and get past bans. That's clearly an issue- I love how you keep not responding to it, by the way.

Oh and no one's going to pay just to change a fucking avatar, which is something people change all the time. If any site demands that people pay for something as simple as that then I'll be amazed if they wind up even mildly successful. I guarantee it will drive people away.

Oh, and as I said, Mahz has repeatedly turned down the idea of getting money from site users even from willing donations with no special permissions behind them. So if Mahz was against something as harmless as that with hardly any complications about it, what makes you think he'll be for your set of ideas which seem to be causing an uproar among those who read them? Guess what: not happening.

I did respond, I mentioned that in my OP. Eventually they will run out of money, or they will spend enough to start posting better. No-one said they couldn't be banned twice for the same offense. I also put in Permabans as a ban that is permanent. As in "No ammount of money will get you a new account.
