Tales of The Windy City: The Murders




In Character Thread
A series of murders had been occurring in the windy city of Chicago, Illinois. It all started the night of November 18, 2011.
It was a very stormy night and the people of Chicago bustled through the streets like normal. But above, in apartment
#208, a murder had occurred. A woman by the name of Lillian Thompson was pronounced dead on arrival.
The police investigating the matter did find one thing strange though. There didn't seem to be any sign of struggle
or any sign that a murder had indeed occurred. . . except for the dead body of course. There were no traces of forced
entry, no fingerprints, nothing. The case was pursued, but not strongly. Without anything to go on, there was really no
point in going any further. The case was pronounced officially closed a few weeks later, never to be brought back into the
minds of anyone involved ever again. That was until the next murder happened. Same thing. No evidence. Nothing. This
pattern followed for another five murders throughout the next few months when finally someone decided to do something
about it. A P.I. by the name of Gordon Flint had began to pursue the case.

Hello and welcome to "Tales of the Windy City." In this roleplay you will create a character that lives in the windy city of
Chicago. This character may have any job that you like and have any personality traits, but one thing must be in common
with these characters. They must all have a certain admiration and interest with the strings of murders that have been
occurring. You will all be starting off in a bar and meet each other, and eventually realize you have an interest in these
murders. From this point on it is up to you, the character, what to do to solve the mystery of the murders in this windy city
of Chicago, Illinois. Good Luck. . . you'll need it.

The Murderer
Someone will be posting as The Murderer her/himself. This person has already been chosen beforehand so please don't ask if you
can be the murderer. This person will periodically post about something he or she has done recently to give you subtle hints and clues
as to who the murderer is. Over time your characters will find these clues throughout the world. This is how you will determine who it is.

Rules:
1. All posts must be logical and realistic. After all this rp is set in modern times, in Chicago. Unless your character has some
strange attribute, act like a normal person and don't do anything you don't think your character would do.
2. No Metagaming. Do not use any out of character posts to alter you characters thoughts. Remember, your character did not read
that post.
3. No killing for no reason.
4. Post as often as possible and please provide an explanation or try to tell us when you may be gone for a while. Don't leave us
hangin'.
5. Post with quality AND quantity. Try to make your posts as meaningful and full as possible without the need for other characters to
get involves. This means absolutely NO ONE LINERS. Post at the minimum a paragraph. If you don't have time for that, don't post.
6. No very sexual posts, keep it to a minimum if you must include this.
7. Swearing is allowed and is not frowned upon. If it adds to the personality of the character, go for it.

Appearance- 6ft 6 inches tall. Average build with blue eyes and short brown hair. Has sharp features with faint freckles under his eyes.
Age- 29
Personality Traits- One of the Nicest guys you will ever meet. He will go out of his way to help you. He may be nice but has a short . Obsessed with completing what he has started. Random at times. Charismatic.
Skills- He is good at wiring things up and finding problems that relate to electricity. He knows how to talk people out of things and he can be stealthy.
