The Order of Hunters - The Journey Begins (IC)

Fletcher walked threw the crude wooden gate into the Small city of Griffindell, Things in the city seemed calm and peaceful. Small town of about 116 people, Crude wooden walls and gates designed to be able to fend off a small attack from bandits and such. It was a small town close to the outskirts of the Empire, To far to be under direct protection of the Silver Hand, but perfect positioning for A hunters outpost. Fletcher thought as he looked over the town. He was slightly disgusted as he saw the Hunters Hall. The Building stood out like a sore thumb among the wooden huts that passed for buildings in the town. The hall was elegant and vibrant, newly constructed and it seemed that the Silver Hand just threw money into the project. Some of the towns folk had gathered near the entrance of the hall waiting for the Hunters to arrive. The people seemed happy to have the hunters in their city and some ran over and shook Fletcher's hand as he walked up. Soon after meeting with some of the towns folk Fletcher made his way inside.

The inside of the hall was decorated and furnished lavishly as if made for nobility. The ground level had a meeting area and dinning hall as well as the Hunter's Armory. in the back of the Meeting are there is a board with the Jobs for the team to take on. The second floor had the rooms and living quarters for the hunters each room was decorated nicely and was made to seem comforting and nice.

He was soon greeted by a young girl Maggie "Hello sir, I am Maggie, Welcome To The Hunter's Hall is there anything I can help you with?" She says with a little curtsy

"Well, Hello Maggie it is nice to meet you, I am Fletcher Blackwing, If you wouldn't mind showing me to my room, I want to drop off my stuff before the other arrive." He responds and gives her a polite bow.

"Of course, Right this way Sir Fletcher" She leads him up to his room

After putting his things in his room and taking the stack of papers that were waiting for him on his desk Fletcher made his way back downstairs sat in the meeting room waiting for the other hunters to arrive.

    "Unda Defaeco."

A thin spurt of water rose slowly and messily from the giant tome as the spell was spoken from chapped lips. The water lazily rose up into the empty air and then simply stopped, falling away in large droplets. The tome shook as the mind that held it in the air began to grow frustrated before falling to the ground, landing with a loud thump and throwing up dust. A low growl of annoyance came from the same lips that had muttered the spell, an angered red head leaned down to scoop up the giant book with ease, eyes narrowed and dark with hidden confusion. The girl stood up, tucking the book under her arms as her eyes began to wander across the green landscape, taking in the scenery for later on. The town shouldn't be too far away now; her success in passing the much hotter, barren landscape a few mile backs was basically like a sign, telling her that she was half way to her destination. Her forehead was burning, probably because of her metal headpiece, and she was nearly breathless. The girl had been traveling for quite a while now, too excited to sit and rest, but she was quite sure that her legs would soon give out. A sigh was soon thrown into the air, becoming lost in the wind instantly as the girl threw her head back, staring up at the clouds with tired eyes. All her frustration from before was lost within her exhaustion, and right now she was just barely awake. Then she smelt it. Pork buns. Food. Her energy seemingly returned to her, her body straighted and began moving faster until she was face to face with the wooden gates of the city of Griffindell.

"Yes~ Finally!" she cried out, her voice laced with exhaustion. She walked through the gates, a grin planted right in her dirty face as she saw other people. Finally, civilization. She caught a few people glancing at her, obviously interested in her strange tome and outfit. Some looked excited, some actually approached her and asked to shake her hand, with which the girl replied within awkward cough and loose grip. When on particular child asked for her name, the girl froze, scratching the back of her head as she thought up an okay reply,

"I'm Flandre, the Hunter!" she answered, pumping a fist into the air, hoping she didn't sound too mean. There were a few claps and murmurs before the crowd that had gathered dispersed, obviously satisfied. Her interest in food and exhaustion was forgotten for a bit. Flandre sighed with relief and began searching the small city for the Hunter's Hall, eyebrows raised at the crude little buildings and people. One building finally caught her eye, though, an elegant building much different from the others. She approached it, pushing through another crowd of cheerfully kind and curious people. Flandre, this time a bit annoyed by the crowd, threw on a cold face, ignoring any offers or questions as she finally reached the door. In an act of self-conciseness, she brushed out her bangs with her fingers, rubbing any grime and dirt from her face while adjusting the weight of the giant book under her arm. Flandre quickly rolled her shoulders and pushed the door open, whistling at the furnished hall. This is it. Is was her way to get stronger. She listed up her fist, pumping the air excitedly,

"Hello~ Flandre Brai here!" she called out, a grin covering her face with excitement, which quickly vanished when she was hit with a dizzy spell, her stomach rumbling with the need for food.

Flandre was quickly greeted by Maggie as soon as she entered the Hunters Hall. "Greetings Madam Brai and welcome to the hunters," She smiles as she hears her stomach growling. "You must be hungry, Here I'll take you to Donny he can fix that, Ohh and let me take your bags to your room." Maggie says grabbing a hold of Flandre's hand and leads her to the dinning hall.

As they walk by Fletcher looks up from his papers. "Miss Brai, it says here that you are skilled with fire magic, Glad to have you on the team, I am Fletcher Blackwing, Please make yourself at home." He then went back to reading his papers studying the statistics of his team and formulating formations and strategies.

Maggie drags the girl to the Mess Hall and yells. "Donny I got someone who is need of your skills!" She yells as she takes Flandre's bags and heads up stairs.

A big lumbering man comes from the kitchen. His massive figure casts a dark shadow over Flandre as the man moves closer until he stands over the girl. He then gives a nice smile. "Well there little lass. What can I make for you today?" His big smile and gentle voice seem off put by the man's massive size.

Lyka Straite slipped into the ramshackle town, hoping to go unnoticed. She paused just inside the wooden gate, surveying her environment momentarily. A thin crease ran the length of her forehead as she frowned at the primitive structures that made up this little town. I'm sure these people are wonderful, too. . . . What a shame, that they're forced to live like this. If I had all of the money in the world, I'd bring it here to help them, she thought. Adjusting the small dagger in her belt and the simple bow slung across her back, the girl set off into the town, attempting to blend in.

Unfortunately, no matter how much she ducked her head or kept to darker alleyways, people instantly Recognized Lyka as an outsider. People followed her about, asking to touch her or know her name. Children scampered at her heels, tugging the hem of her clothing and asking questions: was she a Hunter? Where was she from? Did she know how to fight? Had she ever killed someone before? Was she going to protect them? Lyka tried her best to accommodate everyone. They were allowing her and the Hunters to set up base in their town, after all. The girl shook hands, answered questions, and even blessed a baby, which made her very uncomfortable. Theyre acting like I'm some sort of goddess, she thought. I haven't even done anything for them. Despite all of this, she never stopped walking, always moving toward the Hunters' Hall.

Finally, she reached her new residency. It was disgustingly lavish, considering where it was. Lyka surpressed the urge to curl her lip at the finery displayed amongst such blatant poverty. Reaching the front door, she turned to the small crowd that was still behind her, smiled, bowed, and bid them farewell. Then she quickly slipped inside. Looking around, the girl noted that it wasn't the sort of place with a pretty face and nothing behind it. The interior of the Hall was just as rich as the exterior, if not more so. Lyka felt a slight temptation to steal some small, pricey items to 'donate' to the townsfolk outside, but she quickly beat down the idea. The last thing she needed was to be kicked out of the Hunters before she'd even gotten started with them. Besides, the whole point of this adventure was to leave a life of crime and sketchy morals behind her.

Stepping further into the main room, Lyka continued to glance around warily, rubbing her thumb up and downthe hilt of her dagger. It was a nervous habit. "Hello?" she called out. I hope I'm not the first on here. . . .

As Lyka came in she wasn't greeted by the bubbly Maggie as she is currently busy, Instead Fletcher sat there for a moment looking at his papers before putting them down and standing up. He walks over to the door, "Welcome, I assume you are one of my hunters. I am Fletcher Blackwing, The Senior Officer of this branch. Please come on in and make yourself at home. Miss Maggie is somewhere around here somewhere and can help you pick a room or with just about anything. Otherwise if you have any questions feel free to come find me." He says before giving a small bow and returning to his seat and his paperwork.

Norrack strode into the small town of Griffindell the sun shined bright off his bronze colored plate armor that he always wore, He received this armor for serving in the Silver Hand Empires his armor was bronze color unlike the usual knights because his came from the line of bronze knights that was a title that was passed down from generation to generation. Norrack had a variety of weapons on him on his back he carried a lance, a short spear and a Pollaxe, on his belt he carried four axes the first pair being pair of throwing axes and the second pair were Nordic war axes. Norrack as always had an unapproachable look to him always seeming to be focused on his duty and always being on his guard.

Norrack walked through the wooden gate he only paused for a moment to assess the fortification qualities that were lacking in the towns main gate and its front line of defense before continuing on his way. Norrack was approached several times by the people of the town but most just left him alone as he walked his way towards the Hunters Hall only stopping now and then to look at the pathetically crafted wooden housing, He was taking mental notes about what he could do to improve the fortifications of the town it wasn't hard to notice that the empire wasted no expense on the Hunters Hall and like always paid no mind to the towns people. He was often discussed with the empire and even though his armor had symbols of honor of the empire he hand little respect for it now.

Norrack walked up to the Hunters Hall and stopped to take in the fortifications of the Hunters Hall amazed at its simple and effective design for protection and elegance. Norrack then scoffed at the structure before opening the main door effortlessly pushing it open and stood at the entrance before taking a step into the main hall and looked around and scoffed again at the overly lavished decoration. Norrack thought to himself "This damn Hall looks like a small royal keep for a duke and to these towns people it may indeed be the damn Empire Castle". Norrack waited patiently for someone to come and welcome him in for even though he no longer was a knight for the empire a knight he still was all the same.

Maggie had just finished putting the bags up stairs and returned to the main hall by the time Norrack came in. She hurried over to greet him. "Welcome sir, well I see you came well prepared, Welcome to the Hunters, I am Maggie is there anything I can do to help you?" The girl asked. Her comment caught Fletcher's attention and he looked away from the papers to see the man. The man was in bronze plated armor, Fletcher knew the armor well. "Well, if it isn't the Veteran, Glad to have a trained front line soldier in the group, Make yourself comfortable for today, we will move out tomorrow." He then went back to studying the papers almost finished with his notes.

A 5'6 male gazed at the wooden gates of Griffindell with narrowed light green eyes. He didn't know whether to go in or not, but the thought of water and a bed was too tempting. Hesitantly, Eren Blau walked into the town with long strides, looking around. He noticed that mainly all of the houses were made out of wood, and that the town itself was just in rambles. The people of the small town curiously looked at him, and the man could feel his cheeks burning with embarrassment. The healer looked like some rogue, his auburn colored hair strewn everywhere, face lined with dust, and his light green eyes red from the dust. His brown cloak that had hidden most of his body suddenly revealed a pair of dual blades, hung on a red sash around his hip. Instantly, the curious crown flocked him, and they asked him numerous questions. "Thank you for coming!" "Can you fight?" Eren suddenly felt unknown hands grab his hands and touch his swords. Again, the man blushed with embarrassed; he was no fighter, just a healer. Giving a small smile to a flock of children, he quickly walked towards Hunter Hall, trying to avoid the crowd. Finally, he was face to face with the rich structure. He studied the building and pushed open the doors, stepping inside.

The healer grimaced as he saw the inside, purely disgusted by the finery. Standing awkwardly, he rubbed his face, trying to get rid of the dirt. He didn't want to break anything, just in case they forced him to pay for it. Giving a nervous cough, he called out, wondering if there was anyone here.

    "Anyone here...?"

I will love you with all my life and when I die, I will still love you through eternity and beyond.

Isabella woke up on her mat aching from the night before. She couldn't quite remember what exactly happened. All she remembered was that the rest of the bandits and her had a party as they were disbanding. As her mind began to wrap itself around some of the events that transpired she suddenly had to lean over and vomit. With that she thought there was no need to think on the matter any longer, and it was time to begin moving. She slowly traveled along the roads to the facility. At one point she had seen a rabbit in the road and quickly reached in her quiver and shot it while it try to run away. As she approached the rabbit a familiar black and white creature had rushed it's way there and started eating the rabbit. She chuckled to herself even out of base camp Skunk followed her as if he knew she was going somewhere else. She spoke to him as if he was a childhood friend, "Alright Skunk you can have this one, but the next ones mine alright." She was slightly annoyed at this because she was quite hungry, but knew Skunk hadn't eaten in a while either. She found it strange that she was joining the hunters but her companion couldn't catch a mouse. After a chuckle she began her way down the road again.

As Isabella approached the location she was told to meet at she would be mildly impressed with the large doors thinking to herself, "Someones got to much money." She hoped the hunters had nothing in likes with the hirer or this would be a short lived occupation. She wasn't into working with the stuck up nobles she stole from as a bandit. As she entered the halls she was remnded of her familys house, and hated it. The room the decor it all felt so foreign and hated to her. She tried to get her head straight and find the others who should be here. She looked in every corridor she could find even heading up the stairs at one point till someone had to direct her to the meeting hall. She thought to herself that her sense of direction was as bad as ever. When she entered the room she was happy to see warriors instead of nobles, "I am Isabella I will be working with you, and I know what you're thinking and suggest you dont ask." She said refering to the most common question she got asked, "Why is your skin and hair so white."

The clank and rattle of the iron links, chains and plates that together formed his boots could be heard long before he actually made his appearance. Moving as if he had all the time in the world he slowly made his way down the main street of the outpost. He flexed his right shoulder, the gauntlet weighs heavy on his shoulder making it stiff most of the time, but even so, it's much lighter than the sword. The rattle made everyone, even the people that managed to keep their cool at the idea of having so many armed strangers gather in their small town, drop their work and crowd to see what makes such a racket. Heavy thud after heavy thud the iron boots took him closer to the Hunter's Hall. As he got closer he noticed that next to the Hall there was a blacksmith workshop, so instead of heading as any sane man to register himself at the Hall. He took a detour to the blacksmith's shop.

Knocking with the iron gauntlet in the anvil he yells "Oi, Anyone here? I need a couple of chain links!"
