"Hello? Earth to Luna...?" Ginny poked Luna in the rib with her fork.

"Ow, Ginny, you're so violent sometimes!"

Luna snapped back into reality from her daydreams, she found herself zoning out a lot recently, she was hardly ever fully in the real world.
It wasn't a bad thing though, she enjoyed the moments she spent in her own little world, because in her own little world she could make everything how she wanted it. The uncertainty of the real world scared her and worried her so much, she created her own and pretended the real one didn't exist. Of course it did exist, and every now and then she'd be pulled back into it, against her will. Like now, Ginny was looking rather frustrated and angry at Luna.

"What? I didn't do anything." The white haired girl crossed her arms over her chest.

"You've got your head in the clouds ninety-nine percent of the time.." Ginny sighed, shaking her head, her red hair flowing all over the place. "Besides, your foods getting cold. You should eat. Oh, and stop staring at Malfoy? He's bound to notice." Luna scoffed.

"Me? Look at Draco? No way." Luna frowned. She was definitely not looking at Draco at all. It wasn't her fault that she just happened to be looking that way when her fantasy land pulled her in. But Ginny was having none of it. She ignored the girl's protests and started eating her own food.

Luna sighed and looked at the red and gold banners above her head. Why couldn't she have been sorted into Gryffindor in the first place? It was where she belonged, but no. She had to be lonely in Ravenclaw with only the cold blues to make her feel even more unwanted. She had asked Dumbledore before whether it was possible to switch houses but he said that unfortunately that was impossible. Luna didn't quite understand why. Besides, she was like a complete Gryffindor anyway. She knew the Common Room passwords, she'd sleep over in Ginny's dorm, sit at their table during breakfast and dunner, she even managed to sneak into Ginny's Divination lessons. Not that Professor Trawnley even realized that there was an extra child in her class.

One thing Luna hated about being with Ginny was the fact that the redhead was convinced with all her might that Luna had a crush on Draco Malfoy. It all worked out well for Ginny, the two were both white haired, pure bloods, and everything Luna seemed to do was stare at him all the time. Which of course wasn't completely true, but Ginny liked to think that. So every time that the pair walked past the blonde Ginny would either poke Luna or start laughing, and no doubt Malfoy would have probably started to realize this. Luna had told her to not do this many times, to not give Draco false knowledge, but Ginny didn't listen. The stubborn girl would still continue to do this every day. Luna had given in, and sighed every time, letting it fly past her pretending like it never happened.

Luna sighed as she remembered that her first lesson this morning was Defense Against The Dark Arts. All four houses had lessons together this year, not many people took N.E.W.T's and since there were so few of them, they all had to be put together. It had so turned out that Draco was in the same lesson as Luna.

    "Great."

At least she was in the same class as Ron, her best friends brother, and he didn't torment her about Draco every time they were around him. She sighed and realized that she was fairly lucky. For now Ginny only had a few times where she could annoy Luna, just imagine what would have happened if Ginny was a year older!

Luna dressed herself into her uniform. Her blue and bronze tie brought out her blue eyes, this was practically the only thing she did like about her house. She didn't bother putting on her cloak, she never did to be honest, and walked out of the Ravenclaw Common Room and made her way down all the moving stairs trying not to fall through the trick stairs. She skipped breakfast, avoiding Ginny who would have bombarded her with questions, and headed down to the library to skip some time before the lesson.
Time flew by almost double time, and before Luna could even reach the second chapter of 'Blood Brothers: My Life Amongst The Vampires', Irma Pince, the librarian, noticed her in the corner and told her she was five minutes late for the lessons starting. Luna dropped the book, leaving it lying carelessly on the ground, and ran out of the library.
As she arrived in the dingy corridor outside her defense classroom, Luna took a moment to prepare herself. She pushed open the creaky old door and came face to face with her Defense class, who all had the same look on their face. It was a look of sympathy for the blonde. She gulped as Professor Snape strode across the classroom to tower over her.

"I'm sorry Professor--" she began but Snape cut her off.

"Save it, you can make up half an hour after class." he spoke in a bitter voice, and handed her a textbook.

She strode over to the only empty seat in the classroom. Huffing she threw the book onto the desk and looked over. Her eyes met her neighbor. His eyes were cold and looked at her with disgust. She sniffed and sat next to the blonde boy. Now she would have to spend the rest of the year sitting next to Malfoy. She just prayed that Ron wouldn't tell Ginny about this seating plan. If he did, Luna would personally have to whack him over the head with 'How To Charm Your Own Cheese'.

"This day just couldn't get any worse." She muttered under her breath.

The dinner feast, as per usual was going off without a hitch in the Great Hall. Draco, after taking a spoonful of mashed potatoes and gravy, took one of his slender hands and ran it through his usual slicked back hair as if the strands were loose. His cronies, Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle, sat on either side of him laughed at one of his stupid jokes with their mouths full of whatever they could shove into their mouths. The Malfoy boy wasn't actually all that funny, but the two boys always thought he was. He enjoyed the attention, anyway.

With his stomach slowly filling, he, for whatever reason, scanned the tables of the other houses with his gray eyes. They rested on Loony Lovegood, and he snickered. She had been staring at him from the Gryffindor table though she belonged to the Ravenclaw house. She was strange, no doubt, and he couldn't figure her out. He especially couldn't figure out why she was starting at him with a look of longing. It disgusted him and he looked to the only Weasley girl sitting next to the blonde. He scowled and looked away before his fellow snakes began to wonder what exactly he was doing.

Draco was snapped back to reality when the girl he was "dating" spoke to him. "Draco, are we still on for tonight?" Pansy Parkinson whispered him in a tone of lust and longing.

He turned to her and he smiled, though fake, convincingly towards the raven-haired Slytherin. "Of course," he whispered back. "But, I have something I must do first before we meet up." He paused for a moment to watch her face go from happy to confused. "Don't worry, though. When we meet back up, I'll definitely make it up to you."

The platinum blond boy winked at her, and she swooned.

    ------------

Dinner soon ended, and all students made their way to their destined common rooms. Draco, hidden in a dusty broom cupboard with an apple he tucked into his robes that he stole from the table, waited until he could no longer hear the footsteps, laughter, and chatter of the other students before making his way up to the seventh floor. He walked up to a seemingly blank wall and closed his eyes, mutter incomprehensibly to himself. A door appeared from the empty wall and he opened his eyes. He turned to make sure no one was behind him and opened the door and walked in.

He wandered around the endless room for a few minutes, the only sounds he was able to hear were his footsteps echoing off of the vast walls. Eventually, Draco made his way to a black cabinet and pulled the apple from his pocket. He stared at it nervously for a few moments before opening the door and putting the apple in. He closed the door and waited. He waited and waited and waited, then opened the door again. His brow furrowed when he saw the apple still sitting there, knowing full well that what he had attempted to do hadn't worked. Maybe it wasn't the correct cabinet, or maybe it was, and his little attempt didn't work. No matter, he pulled the apple from the bottom of the cabinet and threw it as hard as he could. He heard it land a few meters away and left the room, the door vanishing quickly behind him.

Having completely forgotten that he was supposed to meet Pansy out in the boat house, he walked back to the Slytherin Common Room. He slumped into the dark leather couch and stared at the fire, wondering what exactly he was supposed to do to make the vanishing cabinet work.

    --------------

He woke the next day and sighed, having had a restless night's sleep. He dreamt many times of the vanishing cabinet working, and not working, and working again. Draco sat up in his bed and brushed back his hair to make sure there were no loose strands. He slipped into his uniform, making it as messy and clean as possible. His silver and green tie was fastened as loosely as possible, and he groaned when he remembered he had a N.E.W.T lesson that morning. Though the classes were small, he knew he would have to spend his time with the group of Purebloods, Half-bloods, and Mudbloods that he hated with every fiber of his being.

He went to breakfast once he was finished being angry with the night before and being angry with what was to come. He quickly at a bowl of cereal and made his way to his Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. His books were non-existant at the moment, and he didn't care. Malfoy knew that Professor Snape wouldn't care, either, seeing as the professor was head of Slytherin house.

He found a seat in the back of the class, like he always did, and waited for class to start. Snape began to babble on when the classroom door opened, and all heads turned to the late comer. He rolled his eyes, not surprised that it was Loony Lovegood, and snickered as she attempted to explain on why she was late.

"Hush, Mister Malfoy," Professor Snape told him. That was when he realized the only seat open in the room was next to him. Draco stared at the girl coldly as she sat next to him.

When she sat, though, he couldn't help but smelling her perfume. It was a strange scent, though it was intoxicating. His gray eyes stared even more coldly at her because she smelled so good, and he knew he shouldn't think that off her.

He eventually looked away from Luna and caught the eye of Pansy. His eyes widened at the terribly cold look in her eyes, and he realized he had forgotten their plans from the night before. He just shrugged at her with his typical smirk, and looked away, half paying attention to the greasy-haired professor teaching their lesson.
"Let's finish this the way we started. Together."
"Dobby didn't intend to kill. Dobby just meant to maim... or seriously injure."
"Sorry professor, I must not tell lies."
"Where are you going, Mr. Baggins?" "I'm going on an ADVENTURE!"
"I look like my great aunt Tessie. *sniff* Smell like my great aunt Tessie."
    "FOR NARNIAAAAA!"
"One ring to rule them all."
"We're not vermin, and we're not freak, and we're not pests. WE'RE BORROWERS!!!"

To anyone I roleplay with. I am definitely still around and alive. For whatever reason, I just cannot get over my writer's block, along with working two jobs. I hope to have something for you soon.
