History: Kara was born from a dryad (father) and a fairy (mother). When the humans started deforesting White Oak forest her parents sent her away fearing for her safety. They would have gone with her but her father, who was a dryad could not be separated from his main tree body and her mother refused to leave him. She returned a year later at the age of 9, to find the forest gone, replaced by a .U.R.A.F. facility and industrial zone. She was about to leave but was found by a group of .U.R.A.F. soldiers who were returning from a mission with a captive drow, who was badly wounded. She managed to free him and heal him and in return he lead her to The Haven, where she has been ever since. Not knowing about the price that the .U.R.A.F. had on her being captured alive.

Extra Info: She can do a cool thing where she can use hamadryad’s trees (with their permission) to create a ‘doorway’ (portal) to any other hamadryad’s tree as long as they are on the same land mass and are connected to the land. She steps into the tree (like how a ghost would slip through a wall) and then steps out of a different tree in a different location. She also sometimes may use this technique to hide in the trees if she is scared. Her abilities also include Healing and communicating with trees.

History: Escaping from the clutches of Hunters in his old town, Jordan continued running from the men who had killed his family just to get to him. His monstrous form, which he had learned to control without the aid of moonlight, was used to hide and run. Finding the Haven, where he felt welcome, was a relief to him, as it gave him a safe place to be himself and not have to worry about the Hunters coming back to capture or kill him.
Extra Info: Has canine teeth on top and bottom of mouth, and eyes change color from light blue to a dark red when transforming.

Personality: Drake is generally a fairly friendly individual. Befriending nearly everyone who comes to the camp and being the one to generally show people around. He loves a good joke and sometimes that gets him into trouble. He's a very good friend though he may not always tell you everything about himself. He doesn't like the average humans because of his past.
History: Drake's life didn't work like other creature's. When a phoenix dies it is reborn in fire and all around it is destroyed as payment for the new life. As such at a rebirth you are returned to the age of 18 and a human body until you can manifest bird form again. At Drake's last rebirth his clearing in the forest was targeted because of the large fireball given off by his return. While fighting off the U.R.A.F he was hit over the head and was knocked out. This cause amnesia and his past and abilities were now gone to him. When he awoke he was being carted to some facility to be tested. The group of soldiers that were escorting him were never seen again. All the U.R.A.F ever found was a few burned trucks and some dust. One day Drake heard of the haven and began his trek towards it in hopes that he would
re-learn himself there and that he might never meet another human again. Despite his past he's become a very cheery person having spent 3 years here already.
Extra Info: He spends time in both bird and human form. Also though water nullifies his abilities he actually enjoys swimming.

History: Isabella was born a human and on later turned into a vampire, so some might say she technically is a half blooded vampire not that it really matters in the eyes of the other humans. Her family wasn't very wealthy and so at a very young age her and most of her other siblings were forced to work. But no matter how many hours they worked a week they could only afford the bare minimum when it came to food and household appliances. One day, Isabella noticed an advertisement in the local newspaper asking for volunteers for a scientific experiment. She decided to go check this U.R.A.F. Company out before deciding to sign up for it. She was there barely 10minutes when she wrote her name down, Isabella knew the risks that were involved but hearing the amount of money she would receive she couldn't help herself. She wanted to get her family out from the slumps and so signed her life away to became a human lab rat.

The first few months, weren't as bad as she thought. All she had to do was get a few needles and that was it. The money seemed to be rolling in, but then it all changed. Isabella doesn't remember much about how it happened; all she remembers is being thrown into a cage with another boy who looked like he hadn't seen the sun in years. She remembers screaming for help as the boy began to attack her; scratching and biting. Isabella then finds herself waking up in some cell, where she continues to be experimented on before one day she decides that she has had enough. If her newly founded talents she escapes the facility she was held in and makes a run for it.
Isabella has been on the run ever since, trying to find a place to seek refuge.
Extra Info: Hardly ever sleeps, is in the process of controlling her cravings, sensitive to sunlight, enhanced night vision, eye colour changes with mood, heightened sense, quick reflexes and unaccounted strength (I.e. stronger than one should be with her size), often feels hungry/thirsty despite just eaten, gets extreme cravings for certain types of food although she has been trying to control these cravings more, frequent headaches for no apparent reason and able to heal quicker.

His family kept a tight secret on the fact that they were vampires for years untill the U. R. A. F. Found it out and spread it across the country. The king ordered his army to burn down his family's castle and sever their bloodline. Acaelus is the only known survivor. Over the years, Acaelus has harnessed his powers passed down from generation to generation and swearing vengeance on the ones that murdered his family. He now resides in Haven, waiting for the day to seek his revenge...

History: The Manipulators are a secret society, who were descended from a group blacksmiths who taught themselves alchemy to augment their skill, allowing them to create sharper swords and stronger shields. This ability is passed down from generation to generation through marking that appear somewhere on their bodies: their leg, torso, and, in rare cases, their arms, as if in homage to their blacksmith ancestors, who prided themselves on the strength their arms gained hammering metal into shape day and night. It's said that those who are born with markings on their arm are to have power greater than others of their race. But, in having such power, their minds tend to fracture, either leaving them a babbling mess, or creating something new within, which is what happened to Isaac.
Isaac just turned 10 when his parents were discovered. His father hid him in the closet, but, since they were resisting, he saw his parents die in front of him. The shock caused his other self to come out. He walked out of the closet, right up to the men, and brutally killed them, showing no mercy. Shortly afterwards, Isaac was taken in by a friend of the family and they put him in hiding, so the U.R.A.F. wouldn't find him. During his time, he continued honing his skills, both with metal and keeping his other self at bay. After turning 18, he decided to leave and search for a place where he could truly be safe: The Haven.
Extra Info: Due to his lineage, Isaac has the ability to bend iron and carbon to his will, allowing him to create anything from weapons to decorations. The more complex an item is, the longer it takes him to create it, the same goes for combining the two into steel.

In battle Dark will kill anyone to win, and is quite insane.

Dark is known for having a very stoic personality. He never cared about the education given to him, seeing the entire thing as trivial, even though his intellect would make it easy for him. In general, he takes most day-to-day affairs with open disinterest, often not even noticing the affection of others.
History: Dark was never really chased by the U.R.A.F, he had a normal life with rich parents, and he had every whim. Except for freedom. He heard about this place for people like him who would be free, and ran away from home and went.
Extra Info: He has dyslexia and has poor hearing as his whole being is actually made of shadow.

History: Chenan was once looked upon as a higher ranking being, being the descendant of high ranking parents, but when he and his people were attacked by humans -- amateur hunters --, they destroyed and scattered them. Chenan tried to escape, but he was captured and held in an experimental facility for several months. Slowly losing his mind, Chenan was kept in solitary confinement before one day snapping. He can't remember what happened, only that he had his angelic wings torn from him, which means he killed, something strictly forbidden by his people. On that day, weakened and hurt, feeling betrayed, he escaped and ran. And ran, and ran. He learned how to live on his own, using his instincts and becoming almost feral. Hearing of The Haven, he's struggled to find it, but he has determination in his favor.
Extra Info: After his angelic wings were hacked off, they grew back, but not as they were. Fallen angel wings took their place, instead.

Personality: Derek secretly longs to rid himself of his enhancements and return to his life in the URAF. The military is all he knows. Derek, despite having led a squad of soldiers years ago, is not very inclined to lead, and considers his time as a ‘man of action’ done and over with. He is not overly antisocial or bitter, but Derek is reluctant to engage in small talk if it begins drifting towards a topic he doesn’t care to touch on. His opinion of everyone at the Haven is indifferent.

History: Derek was selected to be a candidate for a highly-dangerous URAF-sanctioned experiment that aimed to bolster the combat capabilities of the average URAF soldier. It was a project that hoped to save life, as a standard human being was grossly outmatched if confronted head-on by a werewolf or vampire. Having no choice in the matter, Derek accepted, and immediately underwent many scientific trials and several surgeries that would turn him into a solider of magnificent combat prowess. In the end, the process was a moderate success: only 6 out of the 20 candidates survived the ordeal. The URAF deemed the experiment a failure, swore the participants to secrecy and shut down the organization that headed the experiments. The URAF did everything it could to sweep the entire project under the rug. It was back to square one.

Meanwhile, Derek was poised to return to active duty when two of the six surviving candidates were assassinated by unknown forces. Only he and several others remained. Despite their dire situation, efforts to provide security for Derek and those that had also been modified were not taken seriously. Rather than leave himself exposed, Derek went AWOL, leaving the URAF dressed only his combat uniform and nothing more.

Today, Derek finds himself at the Haven. In the beginning, melding with those that had been at the Haven before him had not been easy. His past involvement with the killing and capturing of Unhumans coupled with his arrival dressed in a URAF soldier’s garb did not do him any favors with those around him. Even now, Derek still sports the URAF soldier’s uniform. There are some at the Haven who probably consider him a spy, but ever since arriving at the Haven the ex-URAF soldier has done nothing suspicious--nor does he intend to.

Extra info: Derek’s adrenal glands were replaced with a set of enhanced, laboratory-grown implants that, when activated, inject a series of combat tonics (informally referred to as ‘Rumble Drugs’) into his bloodstream. These chemicals and hormones (formally referred to as BX-2 and AMX-1) increase Derek’s pain tolerance, endurance, speed, agility, strength and even gift him with a meager regenerative ability.

The activation is triggered by fear, with the dosage amount increasing relative to how much Derek is currently fearing for his life. When Derek feels that is he is safe or is going to walk away from whatever fight he is currently in alive, the dosage decreases over time, slowly tuning Derek’s body back down to its original capabilities and limitations.

The effects of these self-made tonics allow Derek to engage in hand-to-hand combat with the average werewolf and vampire for a short amount of time. While he has not personally killed any supernatural beings, Derek has matched a lesser-werewolf’s strength, and even managed to shatter the beast’s jaw by striking it. Derek, while an experienced soldier that has been surgically and chemically enhanced, is still a man, and thus is still vulnerable to the unforgiving attacks a being of supernatural background can dish out.

As a result of having to fend off supernatural attackers for most of his adult life, Derek’s bloodstream is permanently tainted with trace amounts of BX-2 and AMX-1. Because of this, Derek is able to hit harder, swing faster and take more damage than the average adult man—although his real talents shine when he is thrust into a situation where he feels as though he is about to die.

History: Everything had changed that one day. He had yet to be discovered as a vampire, which was a feat on itself. He had been walking home from work one day when suddenly, from nowhere, someone began firing at him. "UN-HUMANS DON'T BELONG HERE!" He had shouted. How did someone discover him?? He had thought to himself. He would never know the answer to that question. Very soon, in fact, in a few seconds after the man had screamed that, the area was swarmed by U.R.A.F soldiers and Mariko had barely escaped with his life. He had been discovered, well, not technically, no one had seen his face that day. He was wearing a mask that went along with his hat, which was a simple guise that made him look like some form of street performer. He could wear a different mask and change his appearance altogether, he thought to himself, or find the place he had only heard of in whispers and stories. ...The Haven. He eventually found The Haven, and was let in, as an un-human, he was welcomed.
Extra Info: He has two blades he talks to as if they were living. This is because they have the souls of his mother and father in them. When he was living, at the age of 19, when he started training with weapons, long before he knew about The Haven, his parents gave him two swords. One was pitch black, the other a shiny, gleaming white. His parents told him that when they died to capture their souls and put them in either sword, so that they could help him protect himself in these difficult times. At the time, Mariko didn't know how this would help, but now Mariko is glad they told him to do this. They had saved his life a multitiude of times while living in his blade. Even though their life in their physical forms could no longer carry on.

Personality: He has a very sarcastic tone, and is very pessimistic at times. He has some mild paranoia that everything will go wrong.
History: A former Delta Force Operator, he was enhanced with nano-machines, which improved reflex times and brain processing times, making his aiming with a rifle superb. They also slightly increase his physical condition, making him better than the average human could ever reach, and improve his durability. However, a match between any supernatural being would most likely result in death without any outside help. Peter served his country as faithfully as he could, as patriotism is the only thing he has left. After an honorable discharge for unknown reasons, he was recommended by a few superiors to see if he could nab a job with the URAF. Peter liked what he saw and eventually was enlisted as he certainly had great former experience. Believing the supernaturals are like dangerous beasts to be put down, he hunts them with joy.
