The Hunted

Drake blinked quickly trying to catch his bearings. He looked up to see one of the people trying to help him up. He happily accepted as he was still a little boggled from the fall. He heard the man's question and stood up straight to answer. Looking the man over as he did so.

"My name is Drake. And you are?"

"I'm Jordan. Yes, we are looking for the Haven." he replied to the boy, turning back around and waiting for the others to get ready to leave. After a few moments, he got antsy, wanting to get out of the area before the Hunters began to appear.

"We need to leave." He stated, his arms crossed. It was getting darker by the second, and it was starting to get dangerous to be outside. This was the time of dusk when Jordan would usually find a den to burrow in or make his own high up int he trees, only to see the many lights of the hunters trying to track him down. He could not afford to do that any longer, not when he was so close to finding help.

Drake laughed slightly as the werewolf sniffed him. He never really noticed the smell. He made a mental note to not fall out of the sky and to find a way to fix his scent. He then proceeded to reply to the questions laid out before him.

"I'll be fine, also for those so curious I'm a phoenix. So I tend to smell like fire."

Drake then laughed again realizing how awkward the situation was. Of course he couldn't let the opportunity to make a corny joke just float by.

"Sorry to just 'drop' in on everyone. Don't exactly have perfect control of my abilities yet."

"And yeah we should probably get going before we have to deal with any hunters who will seek us in the night."

With that Drake began to walk off in the direction he had been walking before realizing he had no clue as to where haven was.

"Anyone know the way?"

"A pheonix? I have never met a pheonix before. Well then, Drake I am Kara and I was just about to lead these two to The Haven." The sun had finally dipped below the horizon and left the small group in darkness.

"I guess I will need to use tree transportation to get us to The Haven." She sighed but tried covering up her weariness with a smile. Tree transportation with one person was fine, but three others was sure to take a lot of energy.

"Everyone hold hands. If we are to beat the hunters I need to take everyone at the same time. Keep breathing for if you stop you may never start again." She warned as she held her hand out to be taken as she stood in front of a big oak, its bark covered in moss.

Tokei sighed then looked at Kara. " if you're overseer is going to be worried let's get going." He goes to run ahead but then realizes he doesn't know the way. " why don't you lead the way? " he says to Kara embarrassed. He goes to follow Kara. He was nervous but she knew this place would be better than living out of forest by himself. He didn't know what this place is like and that made a really nervous. He tried his best to hide the fact that humans use him in their experiments. He hopes that no one finds out. After he hears what Kara has to say he goes to hold her hand. He never was teleported.

Drake nodded and reached for Kara's hand. He steadied his breathing as told and braced himself as we'll. the thought came to him that if he were to freak mid trip he might fry them all. after that morbid thought he just hoped he could keep calm. Good thing Drake was a trusting person because otherwise he probably wouldn't approve of this. He spoke briskly in attempt to not speak mid transport.

"So how does this work exactly?"

When everyones hands were linked together. She looked at the tree spirit who had been hiding next to the oak and told it in the same tone as the tree spirits, to tell the Overseer to be waiting with a medic on the other side. She hoped that the others didn't hear her.

"I cannot explain tree transportation, but basically we are going to be running right into this oak and will be reappearing inside The Haven," she figured that it was the best explination that she could give and so gave one last warning before chargin toward the tree tugging the others hands, in indication to follow.

They all reappeared in their new location after a few minutes. Seemingly still in one peice until Kara keeled over, fierce shivers wraking her body along with painful gasps. Letting go of their hands she held onto her throat and refused to meet to Overseers gaze as he frowned at her.

The medic sat next to Kara and pushed her onto her back. "Goodness child we thought you were captured by those horrible humans and then you return in this condition?"

"I... I'm... sor... sorry." Kara choked with tears forming in the corner of her eyes. The medic held a cloth to Kara's nose to block the bleeding then began the healing enchantment.

The Overseer, a drow. Put his attention upon the three new faces and inspected them closely. "You are in safe hands now and I am sure you are hungry. Follow me." He said gruffly and lead them along a torch lit path to the eating area. "Don't worry about Kara, she will join you soon. After I finish talking with her."

Marwen pulled herself from the water with easy grace, her long hair cascading down her back as she flicked a glance to the water nymph by her side. "Really Delia there isn't any need to pout about it, it just comes down to fact - our people do not mingle with humans." Rising to her feet she glanced around the area, her sapphire eyes taking in those about her. Any that glanced back would notice the blue skinned young woman, her body glistening and her features a strange mix of beautiful and determined, her body scantily covered though without the slightest sense of shyness she moved.
