Nicole smiled brightly when the ball went through the net, she did a little happy dance though her celebration was caught short when she noticed Colton running for a layup. She chased after him, running in front of him, and tried to stop him from making a basket, as he threw, she could feel the basketball brushing against her fingertips, and heard the swish. "Nice one, flashy." She smirked at Colton as she playfully pushed him, ran after the ball, and once again she was at the three-pointer line, a little more towards the right though this time, and trying to get a shot.

((Eeep, sorry about the delay. I'm on a different timezone and it was getting pretty late for me, so I had to sleep. >.<))

Iris sighed in relief. He hadn't given her a weird look like she had expected him to. She'd hate for the first person she met on the camp to get a bad impression of her. He also seemed nice, and she felt herself slightly smiling back at him.

As he was just leaving, he turned around and introduced himself as Vince, extending his hand for her to shake. Iris slowly put her hand in his and shook it. "I'm Iris," she said softly before taking her hand out of his. "I guess I'll see you around then..." she mumbled before starting to walk away to her cabin, eager to unpack her clothes and get settled in.

((Gah, short post is short. I'll catch up with you guys now and post something longer soon. >.>))

((Collab post. Everything was agreed on by the two of us. Prepare for drama.))

Brooke approached the two on the basketball court. "Um..." she began. She walked straight onto the middle of the court. "Um, excuse me!" she called to the both of them.

Nicole looked towards some girl that walked onto the court out of no where. She raised an eyebrow, glanced towards Colton, than looked back towards the girl. "Yes, do you need something?" She asked kindly.

Colton stopped and did a similar double take, except glancing to Nicole. He walked up to them, confused as to where this girl had come from.

Brooke ignored Nicole, partially. "Yes, I do need something," she said, stepping toward Colton. "I was just wondering what such a stunning boy was doing here..." She stopped and glared at Nicole, but said nothing else.

Nicole frowned when the girl ignored her, what was her problem? She rolled her eyes when she called Colton stunning, of course Nicole did thought he was cute. She glared right back at the girl. "Well, ma'am," she hissed that word at the girl, "We are busy playing a game right now."

Colton's ears turned red when Brooke had called him 'stunning.' I mean... He didn't even know the girl! He kept silent, as he could see some sparks beginning to fly between the two.

Brooke placed her hands on her hips and looked around the court. "Basketball?" she inferred from the ball in Nicole's hands. She snickered. "Please, I bet you suck royally at the sport," she spat to Nicole.

When Brooke commented on her basketball skills, she scrowl at the girl, and was about to chuck the basketball at her stupid little face. "At least I know what it is!" She snapped. She glanced towards Colton with fire in her eyes, was he just going to stand there and let this.. girl talk to her like that. So sure, they weren't a couple but at least they were friends.. or at least Nicole thought they were.

Colton saw Nicole's glance toward him, and he smiled awkwardly, stepping between them before Brooke could answer. "Well," he began, "hold on now." He turned toward Brooke. "Nicole," he said, "is very good at the sport. She just scored against me." He tried to sound as calm as he could, admitting to Nicole's score against him. He turned to Nicole, and gave her a "Happy?" expression. He didn't want to get too involved in the fight. I mean, this girl said he was 'stunning'!

Nicole slapped her forehead when Colton tried to 'help', she was about to kill both of them. She stood there with her arms crossed against her chest, eyeing Brooke as if saying 'Come at me, bitch!'.

Brooke completely got the message from Nicole's expression. She'd get what's coming to her, soon enough. She took Colton's hand, making him turn around and face her. "You'd best get out of the way, Cutie," she advised him, sending a 'Oh, it's coming, bitch!' look back to Nicole. Colton was stunned. "Well, umm, w-well," he stuttered. He looked behind him. "Nicole--"

When Brooke grabbed Colton's hand, her blood started to boil. That bitch was touching him! When Colton looked towards her and spoke her name, she completely ignored him as her gaze was only on Brooke. Nicole slightly gently pushed Colton out of the way, walked up to Brooke, and got up in her face. "If you have a problem with me, tell it to my face." Usually starting the fight, Nicole formed her hand into a fist, and throwing it in the air, wanting it to connect to Brooke's 'beautiful' face.

Nicole's fist connected with Brooke's left cheek. Nicole's punch wasn't extremely hard, but she could obviously punch harder. Brooke's head snapped back and for a moment, both she and Colton were in shock. Brooke's hand gently went up and touched her cheek, as if checking to see if this was real. She turned her head slowly, her eyes filled with hatred. She was so ready to fight. But she knew there was one non-violent move she could make that could tip Nicole over the edge. She bit her lip, so as to not say something. She turned her head and set her gaze on a dropped-mouth Colton. She turned back to Nicole, narrowed her eyes as if to say: "Watch this." She walked up to Colton, wrapped her arms around his shoulders and gave him the steamiest kiss she could. She liked every moment of it, while it lasted.

Nicole watched Brooke with pure hatred in her eyes, though as seen her walking up to Colton, she knew what she was already planning to do. Though as she watched Brooke kiss Colton, it still come as a complete shock to the girl. That girl was dead. Nicole stomped up to Brooke, grabbed a fist full of hair, and yanked her back. This bitch thought she was all that, just wait until Nicole was done with her. "You think you can walk right up to our game, like you're the fucking queen, and do whatever the hell you want?" She shouted at her. "Think again, Princess."

Nicole's yanking of her hair effectively broke the kiss, making Brooke yelp in pain. As Nicole seethed into Brooke's ear, Colton was in another world. What... had just happened? He was stunned.

Brooke was breathing through gritted teeth at this point. Her anger peaked. No one touched her hair. No one. This bitch thinks she can pull it? Hell no. Hell no. Unfortunately, she was in a rather tight spot, since Nicole had her precious hair in her grasp. There was no way she was going to pull. She felt like crying.

((Ending on a cliffhanger. We had to go to bed.))

(( Damn... Cat fight going on day one xD ))

    Vince Solomon

Vince nodded and smiled in content as his polite gesture was returned with an exchange of a hand shake, but he felt as though she was rather hesitant. "Alright then Iris, see you around!"

He was glad to have ended his first conversation with anyone within camp on a good note, meanwhile he finally made it to his cabin. He'd already seen two female faces disappear through those cabin doors while helping out his new friend, Iris.

Poking his head into his home for the summer, he noticed that a rather petite brown haired girl was currently unpacking her things and had decided to take the bed near the window. All three beds were in a row, one near the window, another near the corner, and one in between the two. Both of the outer beds were taken so he had no choice, but to take the bed in the middle.

Slipping the rest of his body into the cabin, he tried to close the door as quietly as possible. His roommate seemed to be wallowing in her thoughts at the moment and he didn't want to be a bother.

Vince wasn't one to bring too much anywhere he went, therefore he only came to the camp with a single backpack and one tiny suitcase. The whir of his suitcase wheels were clearly audible in the quiet room as he made his way to his bed.

Turning to face the Asian girl, he plopped down on the comforter and greeted her. "Hey", his tone was rather friendly and he began to unpack his things, placing his clothing into the cabinets neatly. Not really caring much about fashion, Vince's apparel were simple and clean. Most of his wardrobe consisted of neutral coloured shirts and tanks, with pairs of shorts, swimming trunks and khakis.

    {{Sorry for sort of holding a few of you guys up! Eek, I feel reeeeaallll bad >.<}}

"Nice to meet you, Charlie!" Gwen leaned forward a bit, smiling, and lowered her voice as though telling a secret. "Don't look so nervous. I don't bite." Then she sat back. "But about that 'nothing.' It obviously wasn't nothing, because anyone could plainly see it was a--" Gwen stopped speaking when another camper approached her and her new friend. She was about to explain to Charlie why 'nothing' was not an acceptable answer to her query about his journal, but was distracted by this newcomer. The girl grinned as she listened to his little speech.

"Hey, Nat," she said, holding up a fist for a solid fist-bump (Gwen had always been a fan of the fist-bump as far as greetings/hand shakes go). "I'm Gwen. I like the way you talk, man." The girl was comfortably sliding into her usual slang. Because she actually paid some amount of attention in school, she could speak very good English (and it was her first language, of course), but, around friends, she quickly forgot the technicalities of proper speech. Gwen already felt ultra-comfortable around Nat; he seemed like a cool, open dude. She didn't care about the whole transgender thing. As far as Gwen's concerned, a person is a person and should be treated as such, regardless of sexuality, race, background, etc. etc..

The athlete began picking at her pancakes. She was quite proud of her table manners, and chewed and swallowed a few small bites before adding, "So, where're you two from? Whaddaya like to do? Got favourite bands?"

((this is my last post for the night))

Charles gave a sigh of relief when Nat arrived, preventing Gwen from discovering his journal. Charles didn't mind Nat at all; but was still scared of him, as his introduction made him seem quite threatening. "Uhh, I-I'm... uhh Charles..." Charles whimpered out. As Gwen spoke to Nat, Charles began to get overwhelmed. One person he barely knew was enough, but now someone else was here, someone who was potentially aggressive, at that. He quickly packed his journal and pencil into his satchel as Gwen asked her questions. Charles got up, grabbing his satchel. "Actually.. I... have to... uhh, go..." He managed. She asked way too many questions, and Charles doubted she even cared for his answers. He quickly walked away. ~I can finish my sketch another time,~ He thought, feeling lucky that he avoided them both. He then realized that Nat might think that he was leaving because Charles wasn't comfortable with his being transgender, which was not true. Charles didn't care one way or another, but felt too overwhelmed with all the strangers and questions. He stopped for a few seconds, wondering if he should go back, but then continued walking at a brisk pace, ~Ugh, I've messed everything up again; but I can't go back now, they'll think I'm crazy!~ Charles thought unhappily, ~I never should have left the cabin. I shouldn't even have come to this camp.~ A single tear ran down his face as he exited the Mess Hall. ~It's way too stressful around here, I need to be alone, but there's too many people that I don't even know!~ Charles continued to walk back to his cabin, but decided to go to the forest instead, hoping it would be empty. He changed directions and begin moving towards the mass of trees in the distance.

    Iris Richards

As Vince went towards his cabin, Iris walked towards her own, tugging her suitcase behind her. She put the key they receptionist had given her into the lock and jiggled it a few times before the lock 'clicked' and the door opened. Iris stepped inside. She frowned at the small space, wondering which of the beds to claim. It looked like the one in the middle was taken, so she settled for the other bed against the wall. She didn't particularly like beds against the window. She hated being woken up by the sun shining in her eyes.

Iris unlocked her luggage and sighed at the amount of clothes that she needed to unpack. She was tired and didn't really want to do it but with nothing better to do, she gave in. She opened one of the drawers of the dresser in the room and saw that it was occupied with clothes haphazardly stuffed into it. Iris raised an eyebrow at that and closed it, wondering which one of her roommates was messy.

Methodically, Iris started taking out her clothes from her luggage and folding them neatly in one of the empty drawers. The last thing that she produced from her suitcase was her sketchbook. She took it out and sat on her bed, happy to just sit by herself and sketch whatever was on her mind.

Jason was spacing out a little, trying to decide what he wanted to eat. He could eat anything, really. He had a steel stomach and could eat the nastiest things without gagging. Maybe he should get on Fear Factor or something and win some money. He finally got a tray, piling it with various food, already excited to try it all. He turned to the room, his eyes sweeping over the place as he readjusted his glasses with the hand not holding his tray. He felt like he was back in high school, trying to decide what table to sit at for lunch. But he knew a lot of people in high school and never had problems finding somewhere to sit. He noticed everybody, trying to decide who to go and sit with. Or if he should just sit alone and let someone approach him. Either way, Jason didn't mind. He was a bit nervous, he always was when meeting strangers, but very excited as well. He saw Nat but he seemed to be talking to some other people. And then he noticed a very cute boy (Mickey) sitting with a pretty girl. Well, he found the some people he could sit with! Jason put on his friendly smile as he walked over, setting his tray down in front of Mickey, being beside Addi. "Mind if I sit here? I'm Jason but call me Jay-Jay!" he said, smiling at them. He hoped he was about to make two new friends.

    ---

Tai mi put her last piece of clothing in the bottom drawer and sighed in relief. She picked up one of her books as a guy entered the cabin. She had heard the wheels of his suitcase and looked up. She blinked, glancing down at her book, so it didn't seem like she was watching him, even though she was. He was actually quite cute but she wouldn't tell him that. A smile nearly split her face when he spoke. "Hi!" she said, wondering how this was going to work out, her other roommate being a guy. She hadn't told her parents the cabins were co-ed but she's sure they read about it. "I'm Tai mi but call me Tam." she said, thumbing through the pages of the book without realizing it, keeping her eyes on Vince. When she got nervous, her hands had a tendency to take on a mind of her own and did things without her realizing it. She didn't get that nervous often, only when meeting boys first thing, but after a few minutes, she was okay around them. She turned and put the book in the bottom drawer, glad there was room in there for them, and turned back around, grabbing a couple more books.

    Mickey

Mickey looked over at the two that had just came over and sat with him. One was a pretty girl and the other a very attractive guy. Well, at least he had some people he could talk to now!
"Sup you two! The name's Mickey, and it's nice to meet you both. " He said.
He took a sip from the orange juice he got and looked back at them.
"So how are you two liking this place so far? I think it's pretty neat! I thought it'd be a cool experience so I got my parents to sign me up. My cabin mate's kinda stuck up as far as I can tell, but I think after a while we'll probably get along or at least we'll get used to each other some how."
Whether he could actually get along with Brooke or not was beyond him really. He had a feeling her overall attitude would get her into some trouble with others. Mickey didn't exactly like wishing violence upon others, but whatever she gets was probably going to be something she rightfully deserved what with the way she was acting. Who knew though, maybe this camp experience could change her.

    Nat

"Nice to meet ya Gwen!", He said fist bumping her.
Nat turned to talk with Charles, but the dude already left. He sighed a bit, knowing that his pretty aggressive intro probably did scare him. Gotta make sure not to do that the next time you introduce yourself to someone. The Gwen girl didn't seem to mind his intro though. She seemed pretty nice and didn't mind him being transgender so the two would probably get along well!
"Haha, I think I scared the poor guy off. He seemed a bit nervous in the first place, so maybe it got overwhelming for him. I'll probably apologize to him the next time I see him, I guess!"
Nat just nervously smiled, contemplating whether to try and go after the Charles guy and apologize to him. He decided against it though, seeing as how leaving Gwen all alone would probably end up coming off as rude. Nat looked backed at Gwen and started answering her previous questions.
"I'm from some town down in the south. Don't remember the name, and don't care to. I was born and raised in France but moved in 7th grade because of some issues with other relatives. I still have my accent if you can't tell. It's kind of annoying. As for things I like to do, well I like cooking and reading up on greek mythology, but I like doing just about anything. As for favourite bands, I don't really have any since I really will only maybe like one song from a person, but not like anything else they've sung."

Addi looked towards Jay-Jay who had decided to sit with them. "Oh, well its nice to meet you both." she directed towards the both of them with a smile. "Names Adriana, but you can call me Addi." she then directed towards Jay-Jay. They seemed pretty nice and well something about the two she sorta had some thoughts on but just couldn't figure then out as much really.

As her thoughts were interrupted with a question, she snapped out of her little daze and directed her attention towards Mickey. "I'm starting to like this place so far, I mean it has a nice atmosphere and just seems like the place you'd make new friends for the time being. It took a lot of work around the house for me to actually get here, so this is just a place of relaxation." she replied, shrugging the slightest bit. "As for your stuck up roommate that you're talking, I wish you the best with whoever he or she is." she chuckled, trying the slightest bit to not come off as a jerk. "But really, if you have any problems then I'm sure you can tell the camp counselor or you can come find and chill with me if you don't want to be cooped up in a cabin with a snotty rich kid." she then added with a smirk.

"So, how about you Jay-Jay, what's your roommates like?" she asked, wondering if his we're any worse.
