    Monsters Online OOC

Alright, gonna make a certain thing clear before we start, THERE IS GOING TO BE A LIMIT ON HOW MANY PEOPLE I ACCEPT. THIS ISN"T FIRST COME FIRST SERVE, AFTER A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME (around 3-5 days at most) I WILL CHOOSE A NUMBER OF PLAYERS WHO ARE ACCEPTED, THAT'S IT.

Now that we got that out of the way, next is the setting. So in an undisclosed year, the gaming world has advanced to virtual gaming where the player feels truly inside of the game during their play time. A company named Corrosion Corp. created a game called Monsters Online, where players choose a monster race instead of class to play. The game has hit 1 million subscribed players now, and it's a fairly respected game amongst it's piers, and currently the top in virtual gaming (virtual set ups are expensive you know).

In the shadows, a group is working to use the system to corrupt those who use virtual set ups and take over the world, cliche I know. Anyways, that sums up the over-arcing plot of the series, now the fun parts.

    First, the available races
Werewolf = A warrior like race, werewolf have a natural affinity for physical combat, having a high strength rating, medium agility rating, and low in intellect rating. The werewolf can either be used to be the spear head of a group, rushing into battle first and taking the brunt of the force, or can be a malicious killing machine. Starting skills are:
-Blood claws = This skill causes bleeding damage to the next target it hits
-Track Scent = Allows the player to track any hidden enemies.

Humanoid Slime = A race of slime that have evolved above bestial level intelligence that have taken human form, thinking of it as a superior form. They have a medium intellect rating, medium strength rating, and medium agility rating. The slimes' abilities rely on speed, strength, and magic to be effective and versatile, but in exchange for being able to call from all three stats, they are like a jack of all trades, master of none. Starting skills are:
-Whip Lash = The slime extends a whip like tendril and slam their target hard for large physical damage
-Snare Gel = The slime immobilizes their target and also does a small amount of magic damage for 3 seconds

Elemental = A race of being comprised of one of the four elements of nature, they are being with high magic rating, differing agility and strength ratings. The water and wind elementals have a higher focus in agility than strength, and the fire and earth elementals have higher strength than agility. Each of the elementals have different starting skills but then their skills are the same with their respective elements as the damage source. Starting skills are:
    Earth/Fire:
-Rock/Fire Armor = The elemental creates a layer of armor around them that lash out at enemies trying to hurt them for a hybrid of physical and magic damage.
-Rock/Fire Blast = The elemental sends out a blast of their elemental energy for magic damage

    Water/Wind:
-Evaporate/Split = The elemental can separate it's body to avoid attacks for 3 seconds
-Water/Wind Strike = Using their speed, the elemental moves quickly in and out to deal a hybrid of magic and physical damage in a single strike.

Shadling = A race that resides in the darkness during combat, the shadling uses darkness to sneak up on enemies and escape if they are in over their head. They have high agility rating, medium intellect rating, and low strength rating. The starting skills are:
-Fade = The shadling fades into darkness for 5 seconds, unable to be seen or targeted unless marked by special skills (Track scent for example)
-Shadow Slice = The shadling teleports through shadows to strike an enemy from behind for double critical damage.

Soul = A soul that has yet to cross over to the next plane of living, they have the call of life and death energy at their whim to a certain extent. High intellect rating, medium strength, low agility. Starting skills are:
-Heal = The soul can heal 10% of an allies health
-Curse = The soul curses an enemy for 7% of the their health over 5 seconds.

Purebred Vampire = Unlike the standard vampire, a purebred has the ability to walk out during daylight, so they have no problem operating during the day. They have a high intellect rating, medium agility, and low strength rating. Starting skills are:
-Life drain = The vampire drains 5% health of their victim over time
-Bloody Sacrifice= Sacrificing 10% of their health, the vampire hits a target for 10% of it's health

Lich = An undead necromancer, the lich has raised itself from the dead with magic and has decided to enact vengeance on the living world. They have high intellect, medium strength, and low agility. Starting skills are:
-Raise Dead = The necromancer can raise a corpse for 15% of it's mana and have it fight for him/her. The necromancer can summon multiple corpses, each costing 15% mana
-Corpse Eater = The necromancer can feed on dead bodies to regain health. For every 10 seconds it eats, the necromancer receives 5% health back, and any other action interrupts it.

Centaur = A raise of half horse half human creatures, the centaur are a strong raise of warriors that have access to ranged and close combat capabilities. They have high strength, medium agility, and low intellect. The starting skills are:
-Galloping strike = The centaur rushes a target, causing them to be stunned for 3 seconds and receive 5% of their health as damage
-Mobile shot = The centaur moves and fires an arrow at the same time without taking an accuracy loss for moving and doing 3% of the enemies health per shot.

So yeah, pretty basic starting stuff since this isn't going to be to hard to follow.

One last thing, World Events are Events that anyone in the game can participate in. They are also the arc ending boss fights or events that will end one story plot and initiate another one. Alright, that's it. Everyone have fun

One question before my CS, what will the posting be like? Would In-Game out of Game be different, like showing attacks, hp, and mana and do we just go by %'s and not numbers? (Since you only said %'s)

I have found percents to be simpler so we'll be doing it that way. Since everyone will be starting at level one (Unless you plan on giving me a good explanation as to why you'll be higher) rating stats and everything will be pretty simple.

Also, for those wanting to add their own races, send me the stat set up in a pm (one high, one med, one low, or all med) and wait for me to okay it or not before making a CS

Comments, critiques and suggestions would be appreciated. I apologize beforehand if my pictures don't seem to fit in (because I couldn't find any good picture that doesn't look either too shoujo or too kawaii, or both). Thank you!

@Vocalia, your character looks good to me.

@Lucious, I'll let you keep two characters for now, but if we get more people (at least three more) than you need to pick only one to play.

    sort of standard werewolf lore.

They can shift between human and monster form at will, but on full moons a change is necessary, and they have doubled power. They do run the risk of going into beserker foorm if they go below 10% health, and berserker form is basically they lose control and attack anything nearby.

Oh yeah, that address another aspect of the game I wanted to address, surrounding environments and characters.

some races have an environment that affects their stats positively or negatively.

Werewolves = Full moon doubles powers, crescent moon halves power
Vampires = vice versa of the werewolves
Humanoid Slime and water elementals = Rivers double power, dry hot areas half power
Fire elementals = vice versa of water elementals
Earth Elementals and Centaur = Heavily forrested areas double power, open land halves
Wind elementals = vice versa of earth elementals
Shadling and Lich = Night doubles power, day havles it

Souls have no environment buffs or debuffs.

Well, the good news is I don't have to worry about unwanted debuffs, seeing that Soul seemed to be teh healorz race here. XD
