Wanted! Person in charge. Street lever justice league.

I like dc comics, star wars, some marvel, and tv shows like lost, prison break, and kyle xy. Ive never roleplayed before and I would like someone else to lead my first. I am aware of the concepts and ready to start though.

I think itd be cool to have sort of a street level justice league/ avengers. Every heros stuff should be selfmade and every tool needs to be logical. Superpowers should be pretty basic, simple, but able to learn new uses for them like tools. Itd also be cool if they met up in a shack in the woods. No characters over 20 years old please.
I gwt some of the ideas from The Runaways.

The problem with the Runaways as ya inspiration is that all of their powers are fairly complex and well above basic. A closer idea ta what ya're saying is Avengers Academy. Ah'm interested. Here's mah character sheet.
    .
    Name: Little Rodeo
Age: Won’t give any specifics, but looks to be around 15
Race: Native American (unknown which tribe of origin)
    _
Education: Little Rodeo has not had any formal education, but has learned a great many things by just hanging around his adoptive parent for so long.
    _
Description: Little Rodeo wears a plain T-shirt and jeans. He looks like a skinny, but otherwise normal teenager.
    _
Abilities: Terrakinesis; the ability to manipulate any naturally occurring geologic entity. This includes sand, dirt, stone (of any kind), any naturally occurring mineral, and any naturally occurring metal (whether in refined state or not). Little Rodeo is highly powerful, but not very skilled with his power.
    _
Equipment: Little Rodeo keeps a six-shooter, .45 revolver on him and carries 42 hollow-point rounds on him at all times (six in the chambers, 36 spares).

I might be willing to run this. Funny, it kind of reminds me of a Marvel game I ran years back where every character got one power and they were college students by day and vigilantes by night. You have any other thoughts like what city, etc.? Are there other superheroes and you guys are simply lower powered local guys or are you pretty much the only superheroes around? Stuff like that.

Thank you for volunteering. I hadnt really thought about it. We could do a Marvel or DC city as a setting. Or we could just have it set in a new place where we are the first super people. Im new so i leave you to decide.

I personally know more about the dc universe. But I could go either way. My character is going to depend on which universe, which one do you guys vote for?

If we're going to set it in an established universe, I'd lean DC but could go either way. I'd like to go with a city that's present in our own world (Chicago, LA, etc.) because a place like Metropolis or Gotham already has a bunch of established heroes, some of which are street level folks like Gangbuster in Metropolis, for instance. If you guys prefer a completely new fictional city, I won't be opposed to it. Less research that way. :-)

Think about it and let's decide on Monday. I'll be out of contact all weekend, family event.

Lets have superheroes be a recent thing and just starting to be a more common occurance. I think if we do it that way then we can have bigger heroes in other places but we just play a start in our city. Our city can be an invented place like gotham, only like gotham in the sense that someone created it to have certain attributes relatable to a real city, but with city officials, geography, and residents entirely fictional. All we need is a name, the population, the current controversies, and the people in charge. We can also decide what heroes have died and become famous already.

I'm down for playing, though my knowledge is Marvel I'll roll with DC Just need to know how the game play is going to be how should I create a character as far as super powers go. I have an idea for an Archer but the catch would be the bow is made of energy manipulation. So I guess my powers would either be energy manipulation or dead shot with the bow,or maybe start with one and develop the other?

So... it's like that dude with glasses from Bleach mixed with Hawkeye/Green Arrow?
