I saw it once or twice before, back when I first joined and someone actually pissed off Mahz. And then again when 76 was an Admin, right before he got stripped of power.

I mean, come on guys. Guru's been getting yelled at quite a bit for going too far, in your eyes, and I can see where a lot of you would think that, but let's put this in perspective; he's practically moderating the forum single-handedly and I can only imagine how stressful that can be. Not to mention he doesn't have other mods to talk about this shit with, so anything he thinks is a good idea he therefore does, he doesn't get a second opinion. He probably realizes he's tripping up a bit, but, really. I can only imagine how much stress he's put under to moderate all of RPG by himself- I mean everyone was screaming at him about CG and that thread, right? I myself am probably guilty of sending one too many reports and I apologize for that. But when you're under the stress of practically being a lone mod on a massive site, you just get home to realize a massive shitstorm happened while you were gone (which I guarantee is enough to make anyone groan) and you see everyone screaming at you to do something about this user, so, without a second opinion from any other mods, you do something about it. And while you guys whine about having lost an entertaining thread, which I might add there are plenty of, and lowering your post count of all things, at least someone did something about it.

Come on, the mods are only human; and at least we have decent mods unlike just about every other site I've visited. I still think RPG's mods are the best mods I've ever seen and I'm sure Guru's just stressed. So cut him some slack.

I've never seen this kind of heavy-duty decimation by moderator either. Captain Gorilla wasn't just banned, his account was entirely deleted along with all of his posts and the thread he made.

Nah, the account still exists. So does any VMs he made, like the one he sent to me.

Guru stressed? No, the guy is chilled as fuck, girl. He goes to church, he talks to us in the Skype Spam conference call, he posts happy-go-lucky threads full of #Glitter. There's nothing about him that suggests he's remotely put under pressure.

And if this is how he deals with shitstorms (delete everything, ask no questions and then delete any attempt to talk about it) he won't get stressed either. All he has to do is fire the trigger every once in a while.
