Ruthien Thage
Age: Born 1796. 217 years old.
Sex: Male
Clan: Brujah
Generation: 7th
Sire: Cassandra
Childer: Has at least one who was formerly his ghoul and may or may not be another PC if they so desire. He always ghouls someone for a long while to determine if they’re fit for siring. Something his sire taught him.
Location: Miami
Appearance: Forthcoming but very Victorian looking
Equipment: Ruthien may not be comfortable with computers but rifles and weaponry haven’t changed enough in the centuries as to be beyond him. Ruthien collects weapons, from ancient swords to prototype rifles. He also is comfortable with radios, tracking devices and other useful tactical pieces of equipment, due in a large part to his ghouls.
He enjoys bullet proof armour and his personal favourite, a steel plate over his heart in front and back affixed with leather straps like a gun holster rig. While it may stop the steaks of overly zealous mortals a significant level of potence would likely pierce it.
Ghouls: Like many vampires Ruthien has appropriated ghouls to fill in gaps where he is lacking. Lately he has been considering a fourth ghoul, someone who understands all this computer junk, online investments and other things he does not understand.
--Chaldea: This Indian woman was his first ghoul and she has no desire to become a vampire despite Ruthien’s offer. She likes being an “immortal human” who can still enjoy the feel of sunlight on her face when she so wishes. Like most vampires’ first ghouls she was chosen not for anything she could bring him in terms of resources or skills but for sheer companionship. She was a dancer he met in a Turkish style restaurant. She also claims some skill at reading the Tarot and runs a restaurant in Miami.
--Li-Hua: This Chinese woman was chosen as a ghoul due to her martial ability and Ruthien’s desire to learn martial arts to better protect himself. She serves as his most prominent body guard.
--Ingrid: This blonde woman is the youngest of Ruthien’s ghouls. She was brought into the fold mostly due to her business acumen. She has since been shown how to use a weapon in defense of her sisters and master.
Biography:
--Chapter 1: Europe
Ruthien was born in the year of our lord, one thousand seventeen hundred ninety six to Amelia and Charles Thage aboard their estates in England and grew up worrying about Napoleon’s forces across the English channel.
He later became a man serving under Arthur Wellesley, the First Duke of Wellington and participated in the Waterloo Campaign as an officer. There, on the first day of the three day battle he took a lead ball to the gut and when a retreat was made he was left behind.
Battles draw vampires like carrion birds. It is often there that they find unwitting pawns with martial skills to be sired or made into ghouls. Those lying near death are most eager to make any deals or swear any oaths to see just one more dawn. So it came to pass that an Elder vampire strode through the corpses like a wraith. She stopped, looming over Ruthien as a god despite her small stature, and regarded his officer’s regalia and offered him life, not as a vampire but as a ghoul to protect her and guard her while she slept through the day.
So it came to pass that Ruthien was officially listed as “missing” and was moved by his new mistress, “Cassandra”, to Prague for she was a high ranking vampire, a mere generation away from being a Methuselah. Her sire, she claimed, often spoke of the days before the flood of Noah and the greatness of those vampires, the antidiluvians, that ruled then.
Thirty odd years he served, a blink of an eye for a Vampire, protecting his mistress and learning the old tongues, reading the ancient writings and tending to her vast collection of books and scrolls for despite being a Brujah and subject to whims of terrifying rage she was a scholar, a leader amongst their people. Finally, after a failed attempt by a rival Brujah to take her position that left him near death she finally sired him.
Ruthien stayed with his sire for another two decades but realized, like many other vampire did, that in Europe with its ancient elders there was simply little room for one young as he to move politically. With Cassandra’s blessing she gave permission for him to move to the new world and establish himself there. After all, she reasoned to him, if anything went badly with her position in Prague then it would be advantageous to have a place to hide in the new world.
--Chapter 2: The New World
The new world was mind blowing to a young vampire named Ruthien. Back home estates were hundreds of years old and many of the buildings spread throughout Europe were even older. The relative “newness” of so many buildings was astonishing as were the lack of roads and the open spaces. It really was a wild and open country.
He quickly found that New York was far too crowded. He accepted the hospitality of the vampires there and considered making himself a force amongst them but they were much like him. They were vampires of middling generation who had fled the ceaseless bickering and political maneuvering that involved lesser vampires being stepped upon by giants.
He was also surprised to discover that the Sabbat ruled over many of the cities of North America. Moving into one proved greatly enlightening and if Cassandra needed a place to hide none of the Camarilla elders would think to look amongst the Sabbat. Ruthien presented himself, asking permission to stay within and observed many or their rites and engaged in intellectual discourse with the Lasombra in charge but abstained from participating in the Vaulderie.
His peaceful life was disrupted by the Second Sabbat Civil War in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s which proved to him that even the elders amongst the Sabbat who espoused freedom were capable of every evil that the ancients of the Camarilla were. It was greatly disappointing and he spent months dwelling on the issue before finally making a decision. He was going to pursue Carthage. He had read about Carthage, about how humans and vampire dwelled together peacefully. He wasn’t sure how he was going to build it but he would .
Ruthien then moved to Miami, a Camarilla stronghold. In his opinion, the ordered nature of the Camarilla presented a better place to begin building. He also would either need to become a Prince or find one capable of thinking similarly. In time, he hoped that these new inventions that the humans were crafting that were so like magic might be the key because breaking the Masquerade would likely result in a tactical nuclear strike by some ancient vampire that had a four star general for a ghoul.
Since the first world war Ruthien has changed. That war and the proliferation of Thompson submachine guns amongst criminals in the Prohibition era showed him that war had changed. Even a vampire had difficulty with several dozen bullets riddling his torso and the ingenuity of humans at designing killing weapons did not cease with just those. It was as if humans had an insatiable lust for discovering means to kill one another. It is important for him to be in control of such deadly forces.
Ruthien is now quite wealthy and has a profitable gun running business in addition to investments in various companies and real estate ventures. He has contacts with several officers in various militaries in Central and South America and uses them to place orders for military grade hardware for collectors and gangsters alike.

. Also, we are using V20, so Gangrel are onlt part of the Camarilla superficially. Also, your character was staked for 50 years? The Beast in her would be very, very strong then :/ Can you manage that? Otherwise, accepted <3
