    End of the Beginning...(Back-story)

    You are a young resident (15-25 yrs) of the Port of Lumina, the only town on the island of Lumina, where you have lived your entire life. The Port lies on the coast of the island, with a vast forest at it's back. The residents of the Port are a diverse group, to say the least. Humans live alongside Angels, Devils, and several other odd creatures. This is the way it has been for as long as you can remember, and as far as you're aware, the way it has always been. The island is a peaceful and carefree place. Most of your generation barely know what hardship and loss are. You live in a paradise on Urth, and things don't seem liable to change anytime soon...

    However, disaster rarely comes with a warning, and Lumina's destiny, sadly, is not eternal peace.


    ... Beginning of the End. (Plot)

    The Archon are monsters without mercy or remorse. They sweep over worlds like a swarm of locusts, consuming until nothing remains. In their wake they leave withered husks where entire world's used to be. Now, they have set their eye's on Urth, the world on which you live. Though Urth may be doomed, you do not share your world's fate. You have much bigger things ahead of you. There are other worlds still threatened by the Archon, and as one of a small group able to not only survive but fight against the Archon's power, it falls to you to stop them...


    Beyond the End... (About the RP)

    Synopsis - Convergence is an original RP that is inspired by Kingdom Hearts, Homestuck, Anime, and Bible/Apocrypha stories. Players will travel from world to world (either popular anime worlds or just unique worlds we come up with on our own (depending on player input)) fighting the Archon, world eating monsters that are ravaging the multi-verse. As the story progresses, players will learn more about their own origins and where their powers come from, as well as learning what the Archon are, where they come from, and why they are devouring worlds.

    Archon - Archon come in endless varieties, but can always be identified by several shared traits. The Archon appear to be makeshift entities, composed of rusted clockwork, stained bones and stolen body-parts. Their faces are almost always skulls flipped upside down, and all of them have a pair of wings, which reflect their power.

    Races - There are three playable races in Convergence (with a small number of exceptions). They are Human, Angel and Devil. Humans are fairly self-explanatory. Angels are similar to humans except for their feathered wings and halos. Devils are again, similar to humans, except for their horns and tails. Each race has a set of 7 aspects which determine much of who they are from birth. Humans have the 7 forces, Angels have the 7 virtues, and Devils have the 7 sins.

    Argentum Arma - The Argentum Arma, or A-arms, are mystical weapons possessed only by the player's characters. They take the form of a trinket or item important to the character (likely something owned by the character prior to it's awakening as an A-arm) that can transform at the user's will into a powerful weapon. A-arms are one of a handful of items that are capable of actually killing an Archon.

    Class - Class is your character's role as a member of the group. It determines, along with Aspect, how your character acts, what their abilities are and how they utilize them. Classes are player created, and can be anything so long as it describes how your character utilizes their aspect. For example, a knight of Wrath would use wrath as a weapon for the defense of their allies, while a thief of Wrath would steal people's hate and anger for their own use, or to pacify allies.

    Sins, Virtues and Forces - The three groups of aspects affect your characters in many ways. The first is your character's personality. Though each character will have their own personality, their aspect will have a noticeable effect on how they act and interact. It will also affect their destiny in abstract ways, placing challenges before them that test their affinity and understanding of their aspect. Lastly, it affects a character's powers. Aspects are abstracts that can affect different people in different ways, therefor, it is up to each player to decide exactly how their aspect affects their character, though it must make sense from the aspect's definition and work with the character's class. (If you require a better understanding of what each virtue/sin entails, Wikipedia is your friend. Forces should be easy enough to figure out on your own...)

    Notes on Aspect - The way your character is affected by their aspect does not have to be straight forward. A wrath player for example, could be a pacifist who denies their anger until realizing that it has a purpose. Or a Wrath player could be controlled by their aspect rather than controlling it, being unable to handle their rage, and becoming a burden to the group. As long as your Aspect affects your character in someway pertaining to the aspect itself. I would also suggest giving yourself lots of room for character development and growth, as player interaction and development should be more important than fighting in this RP.

    Personality: Antisocial and stubborn, you can't maker her do anything she doesn't want to. She doesn't always get along with others, and she's pretty unselfconscious, especially if she thinks those around her are better than her in some way.

    She is kind, in a slightly awkward way. But if you wrong her it will take a lot to get back into her good graces.

    Class/Aspect: Soldier of Envy
    A-Arm Trinket: A simple chain, usually wrapped around her waist.
    A-Arm Weapon:
    Aspect Power: She can take on the physical abilities of someone else. Say she's fighting a big strong opponent, she will be able to mimic their strength. The subject of her power doesn't have to be the one she's fighting, just someone(or something) nearby.

    Yumi, being both young and an angel, is very childish. She is very sweet and nice and always tries to help some one in need. She enjoys running around, laughing, and making others feel good. She tries her hardest to please, though she can be somewhat annoying when you won't tell her when something is wrong. Being the Guardian of Purity, she is innocent and, well, pure. She knows not of much violence and death. She dislikes fighting and tries her hardest to stop it when she sees it, or keep it from coming to violence in the first place.

    Yumi begins to sing amidst battle. Her voice becomes her weapon as she sings a haunting tune. Depending on which notes she sings, she cause different effects. Higher notes tend to hurt the enemies ears, and lower notes tend to lullabies to try and calm enemies or lull them to sleep. Her songs do not effect any one that she deems her ally.

    Personality: Miyuki is, for the most part, a very cheerful and friendly girl. She loves life and simply adores living it; being the sole survivor of a large killing teaches you to appreciate that sort of thing. Miyuki did not survive the mini-genocide unscathed however; in order to cope with the horrors and death that she had been surrounded with, she ended up creating an alternate personality, Hotaru. Hotaru is pretty much the exact opposite of Miyuki in that she takes an almost disgusting pleasure in watching the light of life slip away from people's eyes, but if there’s one thing she loves more than watching that light fade, it’s being the one to make it go out. Miyuki usually does a good job in keeping Hotaru under control, but it becomes increasingly difficult for her to hold Hotaru back when she begins to feel threatened or frightened. If Miyuki reaches the point where she feels that her life is in danger, then Hotaru will burst forth whether Miyuki wants her to or not.

    Aspect Power: Due to their conflicting ideals, Miyuki and Hotaru have different abilities when it comes to manipulating death. Miyuki looks at death with hope, and sees it as a new beginning; because of this, her power over death is the ability to defy it. When she wields the scythe, she is able to use the matter of dead things to perform healing on people or things that are still alive (for example she could use the flesh of a dead rat to heal a cut on an ally). Hotaru on the other hand, looks at death as the ultimate form of despair, and sees it as an end to all things; her power over death is the ability to deliver it. When she wields the scythe, she is able to conjure a limited supply of malleable blood, which she can manipulate by moving it, changing its shape, and its hardness and temperature etc. She can also manipulate the blood of fallen enemies as well.

    Personality: Though mature for his age, Solomon can come across as a bit full of himself due to his intelligence. Basically, he thinks he's smarter than you. Actually, it would be more accurate to say that he knows that he's smarter than you since he is probably one of the most well-educated people on the island. He's extremely bookish - his preferred discipline is history, but he reads pretty much whatever takes his fancy - meaning his head is full of facts, abstractions and theorems although his practical knowledge is a tad lacking; for instance, he can't make a campfire though he could probably identify the exact species of tree the firewood came from. Sometimes it can come in useful, but he's a burden just as often. His thirst for learning comes from a noble place; he believes that by acquiring more information, he can then use that information to help those dear to him.

    Class/Aspect: Knight of Mind
    A-Arm Trinket: A small brass ring worn on his right index finger. It has no jewels or engravings and is basically just a smooth metal ring.
    A-Arm Weapon: When activated, Solomon's ring becomes a long, straight spear with a golden blade and a red haft.
    Aspect Power: Solomon's domain gives him insight into the inner minds of those who are hostile to him, as well as those he is defending or fighting alongside. This allows him to anticipate and plan around their actions, meaning he is rarely taken by surprise, and can be used in other ways as he develops his power.

    I made a change to my character. It's both slight, and very dramatic.

    It's pretty mature, and I hope it's okay. I think it fits her "sin" very well, though.

    Edit: My Internet has been acting up this weekend, and I thought that it was fixed yesterday when I posted that. Apparently not. It's still flickering on and off.

    Race: Watcher

    Watchers are a strange combination of both Angels and Demons, born of both bloods, hybrids, you could say. Due to being born of both, they have both a virtue and a sin, though they don't affect them like they would affect a pure-blood. They have a human appearance (both Angels and Demons do anyway) but their wings are deformed and mutated, and are normally cut off at birth. They have no tails nor a halo. The only way to tell the difference between them and humans is their abnormal height and the green fire coming out of their eyes.

    Due to having both Angel and Demon blood, Watchers are noticeably stronger than their Angel and Demon parents, even at young age. They are also believed to live longer, but that's probably a rumour.

    Appearance:





    Alma is quite tall, standing at 6 foot 8, though her body is quite proportionate for her size. Her eyes glow brightly with a green flame.

    Personality:

    She is quite similar to a human as humans usually have 2 or 3 stand-out virtues and sins (their forces aren't affected by them). Her having one virtue and one sin makes her equal in some aspects.

    Humility, being her stand-out virtue, makes her quite a hard worker, in an academic sense (She is constantly looking for knowledge, trying to expand her mind), making her quite wise and knowledgeable of a lot of things, especially a world named Dis. She finds it quite intriguing.

    Wrath, being her stand-out sin, makes her a ticking time bomb of anger waiting to explode during battle. She gets irritated by little annoyances easily, but she has learnt to keep her anger down.

    Class/Aspect: Champion of Humility, Berserker of Wrath

    A-Arm Trinket:

    A Journey Through Dis



    Her A-Arm trinket is an ancient tome called "A Journey Through Dis". It was originally a journal of an Angel "WorldJumper" who traveled back and forth between worlds. The first few entries of the tome describe the various world he visited, but the other 2000+ pages describe a world named Dis.

    A-Arm Weapon:

    The Ibilis



    This massive 6 foot greatsword made of stone and steel, is in fact described in the tome and named "Ibilis". It has quite a history to it descibed in the tome, and it also has an ability named "Bulwark", that creates field around the wielder that slows down the opponent, and slightly weakens then, for a short time.

    Aspect Power:

    Invigor

    Alma's Humility makes her companions fight harder and with more determination than ever before for a short period of time. After all, the fate of many worlds depends on it.

    Berserk

    Alma's anger reaches the points of eruption, hungry for vengeance and blood, she becomes virtually unstoppable, and deals devastating amounts of damage for 30 seconds.
