Reunited

Sitting in a red mustang outside of her old highschool Nicole could not help but smile softly. It had been 10 years since she had graduated and moved on to bigger and better things in her life. After design school she had become a well known fashion designer with the brand name pixie. Stars such as Jessica Alba & Angelina Jolie were regulars to her design. Turning off the engine to her car she slid out as the sun hit her long brown hair making it almost look as if it was glowing. Taking a deep breath she walked to a set of bleachers beside the school and took a seat as she remembered her time her.
Times at school and been so much easier, her heart had never been broken untill after she moved and again just recently when her engagement fell through when she found him in bed with some other woman. Snapping out of her small flashback she stood up from the bleachers and wondered around the school grounds seeing there was no class today with it being the weekend. The last time she had been on school grounds was the first time her heart had been broken. After being gone to design school her and her highschool sweetheart and noticed themselves drifting apart after only six months. When she came home for the hollidays they had met here and ended things between them. When she got to the spot they had said their goodbyes she sat down with her back to the wall of the school as a tear escaped her eyes as they closed.

Ten years ago Will was on the football team, living the high school high life. He had the most beautiful girl by his side and the whole town supporting him. His life was almost perfect, until it came crumbling down in one quick motion. Will lost the love of his life, Nicole. They ended their four-year relationship during Christmas of their Freshmen year in college. It kind of came out of the blue or at least being a guy, Will was oblivious to the fact that their relationship was going south. The day they broke up did more than just that, it broke him too. It changed him both physically and mentally. School had become harder for him, but somehow he managed to pull through, getting his degree.
Now he owned a construction company and a hardware store in town, being one of the richest man in town. Ten years had been a long time and it gave him a lot of time to change and recover from the heartbreak and heartache. He hadn't seen Nicole since they broke up all those years back, and he heard that she was a big time fashion designer in the city. It did impress him and she was happy that she was making a name for herself. He always knew she had it in her and that she was going to make it big one day with something.
He rounded the parking lot of the school and parked, jumping out of his firetruck red jeep. Grabbing his belt from the front seat and his equipment in the back, he wandered the school grounds, looking for the wall that was needing repairs. With his red flannel and blue jeans he walked along the walls, inspecting them for cracks. He was doing a favor for someone, checking to make sure that the walls were okay enough.
That's when he took notice of a woman sitting alone by a wall. She didn't look like she belonged there at all. The way she looked could have been described as someone from the TV, you could tell that she was a city girl, something Will could tell from right away. He noticed sniffling coming from her direction and he asked: "Ma'am, are you alright?"

Nicole had heard the footsteps of someone walking towards her, however when she heard the voice of a male she stayed looking at the ground being ashamed to have someone see her cry. "Yeah I'm fine just a little upset about something that happened here years ago." She replied as she pushed the tears away from her face. Taking a few moments to collect herself Nicole pushed herself up from the ground dusting of her jeans from the dirt and grass she had been sitting in, that's when she looked up to face the man that was talking to her. When she seen his face she couldn't believe who was standing before her. "W-will?" She asked looking at him in a slight state of shock as her heart rate slightly picked up. She knew it was him, sure he had matured a little in the past 10 years but it was his eyes that were a dead giveaway, she couldn't believe how good he still looked after so long.
So many things ran through her head as she stared at him, memories of their time together here flooded back which were both good and bad. They had met freshman year and had been as close as a couple could be. It had been her plan to marry him when they both finished collage but she wanted the big city life that would come with his career and he was happy staying here. When they had split up she spent most of her time alone other then school because of the pain that surrounded her heart when they split. She knew it was her that had split them off but it had been because she didn't want to deny him being happy seeing she was never around. Yet here they stood again, in the same spot they had last seen one another living completly different lives now.

The woman knew his name, and it wasn't until he got a good look at her that he knew exactly who she was. "Nicole..." He said, shocked. He stood there like he had seen a ghost, unmoving and lifeless. It took him about half a minute to collect himself, throwing his mind back into reality and not the fantasy past that he once had with her. Everything had rushed back, the feelings he had, the emotions both good and bad, everything. Everything that Will knew about his past, she was apart of, it seemed right that she was there in front of him now for some reason.
He inched closer, making sure he wasn't dreaming before extending his arms out in her direction. She was still one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen, and he knew that she knew that. Nicole would always have a place in his top, even now she was more beautiful because of her maturity. "How long has it been?" Inching close her wrapped his arms around her, hugging her tightly. It was a reaction, something that felt right.
His muscles tensed as he held her in his arms, "You've been missed around here." He whispered.

Nicole smiled softly when he said her name, she didn't think he would even seem happy to see her based off how things had ended between them. When he stepped closer to her she started to wonder what was going on in his head, she would not have been shocked if he still hated her for leaving him by lying to him. Back then it was the only way she could think of for them to break up where he wouldn't try to fix something that was unable to be.
When he pulled her into a hug she became spechless and didn't know what to do. The words he spoke struck her deep having a feeling part of the being missed was just him. "Yeah I missed being home." She managed to say as she decided to hug him back. She didn't know what was going on but she felt feelings she had not felt since they split up. When she pulled away she looked at him with a soft smile still on her face. "How have you been Will, you look good." She told him. This man had been the one guy she could never say no to in the past, he ment everything to her so when she left him she had never felt a bigger hole within herself, now he was standing infront of her and she was just in his loving arms again.

"I've been good. Business has been booming, everything's just been... good." He paused for a second and thought about his answer. It was good, because deep down inside he knew together they could have been great. But he had to get his mind back into reality and keep it away from his fantasy dreamland he kept on imagining of. "How're you? How're things in the big city, huh? I hear you're a hotshot now."
He let a laugh escape his lips, it was warm and low, but it felt better than other laughs he had felt for in awhile. With a charming grin he went on. "You look a lot better than I do," he admitted. "Still on top of the charts I'd say." Chuckling he playfully grabbed her arm and rubbed it. It was more for reassurance again, making sure that no matter what it was all real and she was actually in front of him.

When she heard everything was good for him it made her feel good on the inside, she had always been worried about what became of him after she left town again. Still she felt so much guilt as she stood there before him, she knew of the pain that she had put him through and it tore her apart inside. When he brought up her job she nodded lightly. "Yeah I own the brand name Pixie, guess you could call it fashion of the stars." She added not trying to sound braggy. Sure she made tons of money but she was still the same girl at heart, her job was something she loved and made her proud for following her dreams.
When he held her arm a slight rush shot through her body. She still felt that spark they had before but she doubted that he did. When she looked down at his hand that was on her she noticed his wedding band. "Oh wow, you got married?" She asked him completly shocked even though she should have known a great man likr him could never stay single. Deep down seeing the ring hurt, another woman out there had his heart now and his last name, it was the only thing she wanted in highschool was to be his wife.

"Yeah," he muttered, almost forgetting for a second that he was married. "Her name's Sam, she's a sweetheart. You'd like her a lot." With his hand still on her arm, he nervously laughed. "How about some lunch or something? We could catch up a little more." Retracting his hand, he placed it into his pocket where it wouldn't be able to explore in its own anymore.
He paused hoping the answer would be yes. He hadn't wanted a yes answer from anyone in a long time other than from his wife, Sam. She was five years younger than him, still very young and naive. Her innocence is what attracted him to her also the fact that she was his rebound after Nicole dumped him those years ago. He loved his wife, but seeing Nicole he remembered that he still loved her too. "I just have to finish this job here and we could meet up somewhere in town?"
(Sam for your viewing pleasure xD)

Nicole thought about what he said about her wife, he knew that she had never been good around the girls at home for whatever reason. When he brought up going for something to eat so they could catch up she nodded slightly. Uh sure that would actually be very nice." She replied as she looked down at her watch. "Don't have anything better to do while I am home." She added as she looked back up at him. It was hard on her that he was married to someone who wasn't herself, but it was what she deserved after leaving him the way she had. "Lets say the cafe, you can message me when your done here... if you still remember by number that is." She added as she thought about the cafe, it had been where they went on their first date.

Will didn't want to admit it, but he had gotten her number back after they broke up. He got it to see if they could make up a month after they had first broken up, but his heart and spirit were already down enough that he couldn't work up the courage to ask again. Fumbling around his pocket he took out his phone, nodding and smiling at her, "How about adding it, I don't think I do."
