ooc: Sorry for the wait!
bic: With her alarm clock beeping for over ten minutes now, she assumed it was finally time to wake up. Reluctantly, she stretched out her arm from a mountain of blankets and shut the beeping up. She groaned, her body unwilling to get out of bed after a hard volleyball practice last night. Finally, she stumbled out of bed and made her way to her shower. The hot water helped wake her up and relax her sore thighs and biceps. Kayla Sparks eventually shut the warm water off and wrapped a towel around her slender body. She began drying her light brown hair, her bangs sweeping over her light green eyes. She applied a thin layer of black eyeliner and mascara before moving to her closet to find something to wear. She liked to keep it simple, pulling on a pair of blue jeans and her home volleyball jersey for tonight's game. She added on her white Vans and she was ready to get going.
She grabbed a banana and a bag of Pop-Tarts to eat for breakfast before heading into the garage and climbing into her red truck. It'd be a long day of classes and reminding her father that he needed to leave his football practice early to make it to her game on time. Kayla was growing tired of begging for his attention. His football team came first, that was nothing new, but she wanted him to be there to see her play, especially since this was her last season. She was turning eighteen soon and would be heading off to whatever college would give her the most money to attend. She parked her truck at school, pulled her backpack onto her left shoulder, and headed into the building to go to her locker.
Finally at her locker, she twisted her combination in and opened it up. She pulled out a few binders and set them in her backpack while taking out a few textbooks and setting them back into her locker. She tried to relax, but she always felt nervous before a game. It didn't matter if they were playing the worst team in their division, Kayla felt the pressure and she felt it all day long. It wasn't unusual for her to think that if she played better than before, her dad would actually watch her entire game rather than showing up late and bringing half of his football team to talk strategy during her match. With a sigh, she shut her locker and leaned against it for a moment.
