I'm in a hurry so I need to keep this short and simple for now (details will be added later).
I want to try my hand at Teen Titans. This story will theoretically combine elements of the Animated Series as well as JLA: Act of God. The idea is to take the concept of Act of God (wherein a mysterious event wipes out all superpowers) and apply it to the continuity of the Teen Titans show. Fast forward to 30+ years later, and we have our setting. Since the "God Event" forced nearly all superheroes into early retirement, there hasn't been any for several decades. However, a threat from space will flush out a small handful of youths, born long after the God Event, with powers out to respond to the threat, thus a new team of Teen Titans is formed. If all goes well, I'd like to make this a trilogy of RPs, the first one focusing on our origins as a team and a sort of "Year One" concept for the new team. The second and third parts will be where the team is more established and we can start doing the big story lines.
Due to the nature of the RP, I'm only really looking to have a team of maybe 5 or 6 Titans (much like the animated one) but the team can extended or expanded on in later parts. Anyone interested?

What about heroes that don't have superpowers? Booster Gold? Green Arrow? Batman? Nightwing? And those whose powers are strictly racial? Martian Manhunter? Superman? etc. I've never seen Act of God, so if it wipes them out too, forgive me.
Almost tempted to ask if I could pull a Batman Beyond and make Connor Hawke or Roy Harper my genetic father....though that'd feel cheap.
I have an idea for a Speedster, though I'm not sure whether or not to go through with it...
Well, the actual Act of God book was rather... well, convoluted to say the least. Sometimes technological powers (ie Green Lantern and Booster Gold) were wiped out, while others weren't. Yeah, it's stupid, which is my version of the event is going to be much more simple. Basically, the event would have wiped out all tech powers as if the batteries had been suddenly drained out (for instance the Green Lantern's ring would have been sucked dry of power as well as his actual lantern, however the rest of the Lantern Corp would be largely unaffected since the event was isolated to Earth for the most part). Racial powers were also affected, but only to aliens who were on Earth at the time, meaning Supes and the Martian both lost their powers.
That event really only serves to give us a scenario where the world hasn't seen any true superheroes for decades. Even those were unaffected by the event (ie Batman) are either dead or too old to fight at this point. In essence, I wanted us to have a semi-clean slate to work with without having to reboot or create a new universe.
Very well, I guess I can roll with it.
So very tempted to pull a Terry McGinnis...
But yeah, I guess I can try the Speedster idea.
With the time frame I'm planning to use, Terry would be in his twenties. Too old to be a Teen Titan, I'm afraid.

Though, in another RP set in the Beyond verse, I made his younger brother Matt into Robin, at least, if you want the Bat-Family to be involved, I won't lie, playing him in the Titans could be fun. Though, I'm not sure whether you'd want him to have a couple years of experience before joining the Titans or not. At least, I think Matt'd be something like 14-17 if Terry's in his twenties.
Though, the Speedster idea I had was quite....convoluted, in my mind.
Essentially being the Speed Force put into a human body and adopted, slowly but surely started gaining control over his powers, etc. very....phoenix-force-esque.

Well, honestly I was planning to write Jason Todd as Red X (since he never existed in any of the animated continuities). Having both a Robin and Red X wouldn't be all that bad, though I'm pretty sure I would stop allowing Non-Superpowered characters after that so as to avoid having an entire team of the same archetype.
Could i be a character who gathers his powers from the sun, his powers would be a sort of beam blast and flight.
