Lann's eyes filled with an ironic mixture of shock and relief as he watched Elle completely incapacitate the man that was in her way, grabbing the twelve gauge, pump action shotgun off of the prisoner and aiming the barrel towards the two prisoners that had been 'interrogating' him. The Prince continued watching for a couple of moments in exhaustion as Elle and the remaining two prisoners continued to bicker and argue with one another. Lann honestly just wanted the men to leave him alone, he was exhausted and emotionally confused by everything that had already happened to them today. The Prince bit his lip as Elle shifted in front of him, in between the prisoners that had been aggressive towards him, her shotgun trailing the both of them. Lann raised a brow when the prisoner that had been smacking him senseless apologized to him. The man was obviously lying through his teeth and Lann wasn't very forgiving to people who physically abused him, especially people from his own country no doubt.
Lann showed no remorse as Elle knocked the man that had been hitting him in the skull, knocking him unconscious or possibly even dead. His eyes drifted away from the lifeless man on the prison floor and up towards the physically imposing man that towered over Elle. "I will not help you, sir, if you stay with her. She is the enemy even if she is claiming to help you. I can get the other prisoners to help,"
"It's a tempting offer," Lann lied, shooting a look towards Elle, "But I just can't separate myself from this girl," Lann continued, smiling meekly as he spoke, "I'd much rather die in her arms than be protected by anyone else... I lov-." Lann cut himself off for a moment, "Trust her." He concluded, slightly embarrassed. Lann had already admitted openly to Elle that he loved her, and while the romantic feeling may very well be one-sided or unrequited, the boy could not find any hint in his heart that he could ever stab Elle in the back, even for his own safety. Lann trusted Elle as much as he loved her, but it pained the Prince of Ecclesia not knowing if Elle held any similar feelings towards him, or if he was still just being used as an outlet for the distraught girl's revenge. Until he knew for sure, Lann did his best to suppress the sudden surge of emotions that tried to claw their way out of his throat.
"I'm sorry," Lann apologized, his eyes meeting the prisoner's wholeheartedly, "But please just leave us alone, I will not accept your help without her. I need her, and you have already threatened both of our lives and caused us enough trouble as it is." Lann remarked with renewed conviction, "She says we don't need your help to get to the surface, and I trust her with my life. So please, just go." The Prince knew that his chances of survival with Elle were much slimmer than with the large group of prisoners that were taking refuge a few floors above, but Lann didn't trust those men, and would not be willingly separated from the girl he had just confessed his love for. Lann tried to stand up so he could walk himself out of the prison cell, but fell back down onto his knees. The Prince turned towards Elle, his hand softly tugging on the edge of her clothing, Lann hated himself for it, but he still needed help as the Prince still wasn't able to stand on his own, "Sorry... I still can't get up on my own..." The Prince apologized beforehand as he quietly pulled on Elle's clothes.
