No one really knows what happened. Some say it was the result of some super weapon went wrong , others a reverse form of global warming, a few will tell you it was an act of God.

Whatever the reason the earth was steadily transformed into a second ice age. Scientists who saw this coming were able to build special generators able to keep a climate warm. A city is built upon the location of the generators and encased in a dome. With the federal government destroyed during the first days of the cold ;The very rich and powerful are then moved to the dome and the poor are forced to live in colonies outside of the dome forced to scrap out livings in the frozen wasteland and practically treated as slaves by the inhabitants of the city. This continues for 7 decades until a rebellion group suddenly appears. The group known as "Asgard" is a guerrilla attack group that attacks and steals from Capital trade routes and attack their military outposts. Most consider them to be a myth as they disappear like ghost into the ice and snow and the very few who see them rarely live to tell about it.

Extra info:
There are mechs developed by capital scientists as a part of their military. This fact is very important for my first planned story arc.

The change in climate has brought back previously extinct creatures like Mammoths, sabertooth tiger and even some forms of dinosaurs( they have adapted to the change in climate.) Some species of animals adapted to survive the ice age ex: Wolves are now a lot larger then normal and have white fur to blend in with their surroundings.

Technology is a mix of modern and futuristic. Most weapons are modern and things like snowmobiles and even motorboats still exist. Things like Mechs, the generators, and other odds and ends would be futuristic. I would govern things like whether or not some newer futuristic tech comes along through RP and whether or not players would get their hands on it.

All the members of Asgard have a codename based off of Norse Mythology. No real reason for this it just makes everything sound more badass XD

Enemy list- Will be updated

Draugr- The most common type of Capital soldier. Usually carry assault rifles and pistols. Draugr is their nickname given to them by Asgard. Named after a type of undead creature in Norse mythology.


Eksitaja- The capital's elite sniper unit. They are very few because of the fact that capital soldiers are very unused to living in the Waste and as such very few make it through the intense training the few that do however are very deserving of the praise they receive and are very good at what they do. They're only drawback is that they are so skilled in sniping that they are practically useless in close range. Named for an evil Norse spirit.


Jotunn- Capital heavy troops. They are equipped with heavy armor and machine guns, shotguns, or rocket launchers. Jotunn are actually the father of The Excaliber project. They're forces are consisted entirely of children of the Waste who were taken from their home at a young age sometimes even at birth and brainwashed into the Capital's army as cheap forces. Because of this Jotunn are more resilent to the Waste than either Draugr or Eksitaja but due to their brainwashing and lack of education they aren't very smart.


Valhalla- The fortress hideout of Asgard. Originally one of the first labs created during the beginning of The Cold it's location was hit especially hard during the event causing it to be abandoned. The scientist were so quick to relocate that they left behind a lot of equipment and weapons including one of the generators used in the Capital. The base is hidden in land considered uncharted to the Capital.

Bio: He was taken at age 4 and trained as well as experimented on to become a biologically superior soldier. They broke him mentally. At age 10 he was first deployed and killed 4 rebels. Against his will, and that tore away his sanity. He is highly accurate with his rifle, scoring near perfect scores on the range. At 13 he fell in love with a civilian girl, when the capital found out, they killed her, in front of him. He broke out 3 years later. He is now on the government's most wanted list. He is wondering the wasteland, and unknown to him, about to reach the gates of Valhalla.
Other: He was mentally scarred due to his time spent becoming a solider and being experimented on by the capital. He is schizophrenic, but with only one voice and tells him to do bad things like murder his friends. He also doesn't trust men that much. Because men did the experimenting. He trusts females.

Her outfit closely resembles this, though it consists of far more white to allow her to blend in more effectively. She never wears more than two layers of clothing, which are thick but never too heavy, allowing her to maneuver easily in them. A pair of heavy black boots stretch up to her knees, so that she can hide her knives. She is all about efficiency and practicality.

Other: While lethal, she holds general contempt for the concept of needless killing. When attacking, she is quick and brutal, but never lingers on a single person or draws out the pain. If she can help it, she will grant a quick death, though this morality won't stop her from resorting to torture if she needs to do so.
She prefers to be in the center of the action, fighting close up rather than from a distance, and therefore specializes in mid to close range weaponry. She's also an awful shot from a distance, and can't accurately hit her target if its more than 25 feet away.
Her voice is her strongest advocate, often using war cries to work up her teammates. She is a strong speaker, and a loyal follower, able to do what is asked of her and dole out commands as needed. When spirits are in need of lifting, she might take the time to sing for others, her mother having taught her from a young age that music has healing powers.

Appearance: Appearance He is 6'6" and has a very muscled build.
Uniform: Uniform Coloured white with some dark blue detailing on the edges and dark blue glow on the eyes. The helmet is retractable in a style similar to that of Ironman.
Mech: Mech
Mech Wpns: Two cannons mounted on it's back as shown in the picture, capable of moving up and down but unable to turn left or right, both capable of firing armour piercing explosives at a rate of one per second, able to co work at intervals to make it one every half second. Have to be reloaded every 10 rounds fired. It also has two .50cal machine guns on the sides, one per side, both able to to pivot 180 degrees so they are able to fire in any direction apart from on the mech itself. These are belt fed from inside the mech and fire continuously until the belt is fully emptied.
Starting Weaponry: XM8 Assault Rifle equipped with a high tech scope that can switch between regular and thermal vision and a 100 round drum mag. The whole gun is painted white with dark blue detailing. Skorpion Evo Submachine Gun equipped with a 30 round magazine. Painted white with dark blue detailing. Wolverine style claws that can retract into his suit when not being used. This retraction and extension is controlled by his mind via a microchip in his suit. Painted white.
Equipment: Two holsters on his back built into his suit, one for his XM8 and one for his Skorpion. 300 Microexplosives, similar in size and appearance to airsoft pellets but capable of producing an explosive shockwave of similar power to regular grenades, kept in a pouch on his waist on his right side.
Bio: Ryu is a rather secretive one and doesn't reveal much about his life before Asgard as he feels it isn't relevant. Rumours fly around daily that he is the son of one of the highest ranking politicians in the government and that he turned rouge and left the city to join Asgard when he was 16 for reasons nobody is quite sure of. He never actually answers when someone questions him over it,he just tells them the same thing he tells everyone else; it isn't relevant. This just fuels the rumours even more. However, his life during Asgard is well documented. He showed very quickly after joining that he was damn near unstoppable on the battlefield. His speed, strength, stamina and intelligence all come together to help him find his way through any situation he's faced with and have led to him being one of the most respected soldiers in Asgard. He is always one of the first to head into battle. Outside of battle, Ryu is infact a very kind, generous and helpful guy, always caring for his friends and always ready to give help to anyone who needs it. He is a well mannered and charming gentleman who rather has a way with a lot of the women, although he is still always respectful of them.

Bio: Amaya is one of the best, if not the best, snipers in the whole region. She is able to take out targets from ridiculous distances with just one clean bullet to the skull and the target never knows what hit them. She is a mercenary, hiring herself out to anyone willing to pay her prices. And once the price has been paid, she takes out the target without asking any questions. Despite being a deadly sniper mercenary though, beneath all that tough exterior is a normal girl who really just wants what everybody wants; a home, a family. Being a mercenary doesn't allow her that and she'd give her mercenary work up if she could just find what she wants.

Mech Wpns: One Large Energy Sabre and Energy Shield (A Roman One), one Liquid Nitrogen Missle Launcher, and one average Missile Launcher integrated into his arms. The paint on his Mech makes it quite difficult to track on radar, and on his feet are powerful thrusters that can cause some very awesome Chuck Norris roundhouse kicks. To top it off, the Mech's head has a powerful flashlight.

Equipment: (Additional gear this is includes explosives, Scopes, etc.) He has a self engineered visor which can identify objects and a small scanner which can detect hazardous objects
Bio: Chris grew up as a well educated individual just before the age, and was pubescent when it took a good grip on the world. He made himself appear on the map after engineering the Capital some new gear to survive in the bristling cold, but one day was sent out on a suicide mission unknowing to him that it was suicide. However, he was captured by the founder of Asgard, and they made a quick deal. He helped them to infiltrate the soon-to-be Asgard base and take it as their own. But, as time passed, they either died in battle or of old age, as the brilliant mind was only 18 when captured. He was kidnapped by the Capital not to soon after, only to steal some important blueprints from them that were indeed his.

The blueprint had been torn in half in the heist so Christopher never really found much use for it. He is still engineering it to this day, with minimal success. His resources are all junkyard scrap or items looted from Capital corpses, and are barely any use. Mr. Conker stayed with Asgard for one reason - when his brother, Joshua, was killed by the Capital, he looked into his eyes and whispered into his ear one thing - not to give up on Asgard. And ever since then, he never will.

Also, could I help create/create the Mechs? That's the whole reason he's going to get the best mech, and the reason he has the blueprints. Hope you agree to this

Uniform: During combat? Well, considering he doesn't really "love" being in the heat of the fire, yet he in more than one occassion has found himself in it, he chose to go with a basic protection. You'll notice him wearing this uniform, made by a synthetic material that's twice as resistant as a class III kevlar vest:

Of course that's barely any protection, so on top of that, he has this jacket made of the same material.

He also wears a helmet the likes the former british SAS forces used, along with a scarf and some goggles to protect his face from the cold. The synthethic material, as you could have probably guessed, is highly resistant to cold, so even when he looks like he's dressed for a 20°C weather, he can actually fair well enough in the ever present cold of today's world.

Imagine red crosses signaling him as a medig slapped on his chest and front thighs.

Mech Wpns: A SMG for self defense, an energy pistol designed to grab particles from the air and convert them to pure energy, which he can then shoot at allies to power them up or at enemies to cause overloads, a sword and a small trinket that allows him to create energy shields from thin air once every few seconds. Other things that wouldn't really count as weapons are:

A stash of medical items and supplies stored inside it so that Karl can access them when he needs more.
Fuel.
Canned Foods for the wounded in battle.
Survival items.

Starting Weaponry: His weapon of choice (and actually only ranged weapon) is a simple pistol at first sight. Of cours it is more than that. He's found technicions around, that, for a small fee, would upgrade the pistol. So, after a while, he got it to the point it is in now, he can shoot 4 bullets in under a second, and the gun itself had a few modifications so the ammo needed for it was the rather common 9mm, so he never needs to go on a rant because he doesn't have ammo. And, well, he's not exceptional at using weapons, so you can't count on him to hold his own against a dozen soldiers, but he can do so against three, four, or if he's scared shitless, five or six.

Equipment: Additional gear when he's on foot:

- He carries a big backpack, with lots of pockets on it that have patches sewn upon them. The patches themselves are pictures varying from drugs to things like needles and bandages. In the main pocket, though, he carries a portable defibrillator with three uses, in case things go bad.
- He always carries a necklace, pure gold with a small round plate attached to it, the image of a veil-covered girl petting a wolf's head on it.
- He carries a couple high socks with him in a pocket of his backpack, yet no one knows the reason, except him.

Bio: His past so far has been shrouded in a mist he's not willing to dissipate to anyone yet.

Other: He loves bananas, apparently socks, cake, meeting new people, talking, and drinking his sorrows away on lonely nights.
