Chad lowered his guard when Laurel eased hers and began to start gathering materials. He still kept a suspicious eye on her, and glanced at the others. "Uh, I guess we should let her join us? She seems to be set on survival at least."

"Does anyone know how to make fire?"

"Well," Chad started, not exactly the best outdoors-man, "the guys on all of those nature survival shows always did things like rubbing two dry sticks together. I guess we could try that." And with that, he began to go around gathering dry twigs and branches to use as kindling, and two particular sticks to use to start the fire.

Steel walked over to Chad,and took the firewood from his hands without saying anything. He placed it on the floor. He took the two dry sticks from him as well, and after a short while of rubbing the sticks together on the firewood,a flame emerged from it. "Not hard for me to do,I make campfires all the time when I'm on missions in name of the king." Steel said. He kept blowing the fire slightly to increase the size of the flame,which was working.

"Oh," Chad gasped lightly as Steel took the branches from him and proceeded to start a fire. "I uh, guess that solves that. Is there anything else we need for the night?" he asked, looking around at the others.

Chad had never been camping before, his childhood situation not allowing it, and as he said earlier the only experience he had was from television, so this whole situation was new to him. Regardless, he was set on persevering and would adapt to the ever-changing situation. It seemed strange that despite the bizarre scenario he was in, things were seemingly casual and no one was panicking. Chad still wondered if this was all an elaborate dream. Only time would tell if he was right.

Mical just watched everybody do things with interest, after steel started the fire he decided to examine it"Interesting this thing you call fire is hot, and gives off light, fascinating!"then grabbing a stick from the fire began scribbling odd notes on the ground in Patian to anyone not familiar with it it would seem to be witch craft but really it was just math and science from Mical trying to find out how he could get home if at all possible, occasionally mumbling things in Patian instead of English "G'vart senghuast
deveriud j'vsut" all making him seem all the more strange to the others.

Chad looked over at Mical with a puzzled look and muttered, "Yo, uh, future dude? You okay? You keeping speaking weird and stuff...eh, forget it." He looked around awkwardly for a few moments and then proceeded to gather more wood for the fire, unsure of what else to do for the time being and not wanting to spend too much time with the babbling Mical.

To Steel,what Mical was doing seemed like an enchantment or trying to curse people. He stomped his foot into the notes. "Stop your witch craft at once!" Steel ordered. He took a defensive stance and glared at Mical. There was no way Steel would agree to witchcraft.

"Are you mad? Those were mathematical notes on potential ways this happened and can be resolved, not the hokum that you call witch craft, and what you heard wasn't a curse it was simply the patian language, it's easier to me than English is since it is my first language" looking quite cross that his notes were destroyed"As a side note it is my job to take notes I've done it for 20 years, I'm not fond of them being destroyed, now if you would be so kind to not destroy my notes, I can get back to figuring out this conundrum." At this he went back to writing the notes and occasionally saying something, with in 5 minutes the pencil of a scientist had surrounded him self with notes in the ground."Oh yes, sorry if you have been somewhat offended by this, I can see how it could be mistaken as witch craft.".

"Uh..my apologies for destroying your notes then...and it's fine." Steel told Mical,and turned his attention to the bushes again. It was possible the creature or creatures were still in the neighborhood,so he thought it would be best to be ready in case the group would get attacked.
