Startled by the appearance of a new person, Zack whirled around quickly, the plain sword all SOLDIERs were issued at their induction into the elite group finding its way into his hands. When all they did was stand there, he cocked his head to the side in confusion, surprised by their stillness. He re-sheathed the sword and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, something he felt he was going to be doing a lot among this group, most of whom were strangers. "Uh...hey..." he said with a short wave, glancing at the new arrival curiously.
Nero the Sable and Genesis Rhapsodos
A man stranger than strange soared through the air, his mechanical wings spread to the side, raw dark energy flowing around his body. Two forms could be seen--one in the darkness' shadow and one in his own. The shadow in the darkness was there for but a fleeting moment, horns decorating its head, its appearance giving it the look of something risen straight from hell. Its silhouette faded into the dark, disappearing from sight though the man, if one could call him that, could still hear its voice in his head, guiding him. "It's good to have you back...brother..." he whispered in his silky voice, one filled to the brim with dark intentions and a hint of mania.
"Yes, I suppose it is good to be back..." the man below him whispered, his own solitary wing that was as black as night spread to the side, almost majestic in appearance since its restoration. This auburn-haired man was clearly lost in thought, barely paying attention to his "brother", Nero, as he began to speak again.
"I'm going to report. You go on without me. You know our objective, Genesis," Nero whispered softly before shooting off into the distance, his mechanical wings never tiring.
With a heavy sigh the red-head folded in his single wing, plummeting toward the ground as he focused his mind, pouring magic into a little glass ball he clutched in his hand. He opened his eyes, the little ball glowing brightly from between his fingers and the slightest smirk tugged at his lips. Sense materia...it always worked. With a burst of speed, his one wing worked the air powerfully and, before he knew it, he was diving down on a group of travelers conversing, very few of whom he recognized. He alighted on the ground behind the most recent arrival and watched them intently, his bright blue mako influenced eyes burning intensely enough that it seemed as if he could see through them all.
