Name: Novera L. (Libra) Tu Perie.
Age: 17
Appearance: His hair is a mess of half-long, coal-black, wavy locks. In his hair he wears a dark blue ribbon, used to tie it back. His eyes are deep-set, with one of them coloured a bright orange/gold, and the other a cobalt blue. He stands at a regular height of 1.68 m, and has a regular, but slender built. In his right ear, he wears a set of white star-shaped earrings, his right is without. His usual attire consist of a pair of dark grey shorts that stop in the middle of the area between his knees and ankles, and a light-grey button-up shirt with brown buttons. Over the shirt, he is usually seen wearing a striped tie with the colours: white and cobalt blue. He sports a pair of white sneakers, that have small black wings painted on them and an inscription that uses the ancient words for 'time' and 'dream' on the other side. He usually sports an impish smirk, to go with his carefree attitude.
Position: Light-bearer.
Abilities/Fighting Style: His great speed and agility make up for his lack of physical strength. He prefers strategy and evasiveness over prolonged combat, choosing to avoid violent endeavors. Due to his physical weakness, he cannot handle heavy weaponry well and uses only light-weight weapons that have been custom made, or chosen for their advantages. He is at a loss when battling more than two opponents, and will usually attempt to talk- or cheat -his way out. His great speed allows for multiple manners of fighting, circling opponents being one of his favourites. Quickly striking and attempting to weaken the foe on beforehand, are what he will be known for. He proves an excellent asset to his teammates and comrades not in battle, but rather in tactical approach. He's certainly not the strongest, or most experienced fighter but is always capable of developing a fitting strategy or plan.
Weapons/Inventory:
- Cane: It has the appearance of a regular, slim black cane. Inside two needles have taken refuge. All of them are alike in appearance: slim, light-weight, sharp, black-handle. One is a regular, 10F needle, roughly half as short as the usual ones. The second is nearly double as long as the average needle and has a much sturdier nature. How both of them fit into the cane remains a mystery. This is his sole weapon and can also be used to aid in balance.
- Shoes: His shoes- regular-looking white sneakers with an inscription on each right side -aren't all that average. The pair has Shinsoo enveloped in it, although he is not quite sure of how they must actually be used. Their use rests in sending the Shinsoo through his legs and allowing for 'lightning speed', as he calls it. One can assume that he won't attain mastery of them for a long time.

Personality: He is a schemer, and a highly intelligent regular. His mindset is that of a skilled manipulator, and does not stand above using others. He's also somewhat haughty, and witty but still retains some of his childish friendliness. His wit, and intelligent allow for a sharpened mind, and an impressive ability to analyze great amounts of information in a short period of time. Escaping his duties at the place that reffers to as 'home', has made him accustomed to cleverly seeking out the loopholes in all the rules, and putting those to use. Despite being a calculating, adamant-natured and quite bold, he has a playful, and impish side as well. It isn't rare for him to enjoy toying around with people, and there seems to be an outside force keeping him from following rules or orders. He is also knowledgeable, resourceful and an excellent strategist.
Some of his flaws are that he excludes feelings from descisions, isn't capable of breaking promises, his lack of patience and the fact that he gets himself in all kinds of trouble without giving a care; which can prove troublesome for his comrades and of course, for himself. On the topic of comrades; it might not seem like it, but he cares a great deal for those who refer to him as a 'friend', and does all he can to keep them from harm; whether it requires breaking a few rules or not. Other than this he is natural born genius, and has a knack for observance, strategy and thinking outside of the box. He usually sports a friendly, carefree attitude and can easily maintain friendhips, although he can come off as somewhat smug and over-confident.
History: Being born as a member of one of the ten great families, certainly had its perks for him. Novera was born as the third child to a weathly couple of the Tu Perie family, in the Inner Tower. As most of the members of the ten great families, he was born capable of manipulating Shinsoo due to the contract sealed at his birth. He has two older siblings, the oldest being his sister and the youngest his brother. His sister has finished climbing the Tower, and his brother is stuck somewhere on the 28th floor; either unable to move on or currently resting. It should be mentioned that both of them are significantly other than him, and that he hasn't met either; nor does he particularily wish to.
Somewhere around his seventh birth-day, his father decided to have him trained as preparation for entering the Tower. As a young lad however curious, Novera was not interested in learning the different types of combat at all. He had teacher after teacher fired, until his mother hired a scholar that had climbed the wall and decided to return to the lower levels. Novera learnt most he knew of this man, and was taught in all the different aspects of knowledge. He learnt the basics of swordmanship, and developed some lunges and attacks himself, but nothing more of that. He seemed to have a talent in sneaking around, avoiding the rules and making up all kinds of strategies, however. The scholar also helped him learn about Shinsoo and how to manipulate him. He learnt a lot, but hasn't had all that much training and thus isn't all that great at it. He is decent with it, and hopes to learn more while climbing up the Tower. When he became a bit older his father sent the scholar away, and Novera went back to studying by himself and spending most of his time in the Outer Tower under a set of false names. He didn't like to be seen as the son of a wealthy man, and much more liked to surprise certain people with his broad knowledge and false pretences.
For unknown reasons Novera and his father had a quarrel, which ended with him defecting and leaving for the Tower. He had the luck of being chosen that same day, and thus left without being missed or having to bother missing them. There are many things that he did before leaving his comfortable home, but one thing is certain; he stole his fathers' cane and his brothers' running shoes that had been left behind. When he was chosen he was quick to depart, stopping only to give some of his belongings to another climber of the Tower for him to hide. He has these goods hidden somewhere on the upper floors, and has done so in case he ever runs out of coin and needs more. On the 1st floor he was tested as any other regular would be and passed with flying colours. When asked for his reason of climbing the Tower he had a lot of different replies, on all kinds of different times. As a child he had told his mother a daft story about catching the light of a star in a bottle, but to the instructor of the first floor he said something entirely else. He wishes for more knowledge, and more power. In fact, he plans to overthrow the current ruler himself (Zahard), and become the new ruler of the Tower. It is unknown whether this is his true objective or whether he simply stated it to impress the instructor.
