    MOVIES N' JUNK

So yeah, as is customary on every forum I start posting on, I decided to make a general movie discussion thread since I didn't notice one during my 5 page trek through this Off-Topic Discussion board (If one already exists, feel free to delete this one).

I only saw about 4 movies that came out during 2012, two of which were awesome (Django and Skyfall).

My current Top Five, in descending order, are No Country for Old Men, Apocalypse Now, The Big Lebowski, Annie Hall, and The Fellowship of the Ring. Those usually change monthly. I 'm also a tremendous fan of Korean cinema, so if anyone on this board knows of good Korean films that aren't directed by Kim Ji-Woon, Park Chan-Wook, and Bong Joon-Ho, TELL ME! I haven't watched a new one in a long time. The last one I saw was Castaway on the Moon, and that was only because it was on Instant View.

The stuff I have either downloaded onto my computer or queued up in my Netflix account that I plan on watching are The Tree of Life, Beauty and the Beast (never actually watched it. . .), Detachment, The King and the Clown, and about a dozen others that will need to wait a bit.

Skyfall was really awesome (Specially the theme song by Adelle).

I recommend watching "Killing them softly" if you are into the crime genre.

GOD YES! That movie was one of the best thrillers I've ever seen. I love the mastery Korean directors show over their cinematography, and I Saw the Devil was a prime example of it. I actually just downloaded A Bittersweet Life onto my laptop. That's one of the few Kim Ji-Woon movies I haven't seen.

I thought that movie looked interesting when it was in theaters. I've had to cut down on movie watching now that I'm in college (along with everything else) but I'll make it a point to check that one out. I also gotta watch Cabin in the Woods, as it's written by my man Joss Whedon (this also means that I have to see the Avengers, though I have no desire to).

Oooo, I saw The Cabin In The Woods the other day. So good.

    Currently watching V/H/S.

Finally saw The Hobbit in theaters. I really disliked how artificial the whole thing looked and felt.

I'm really hoping I'll be able to see Dredd before winter break ends.

I loved Cabin in the Woods. A conscious horror movie. I loved it, really. I wanted to applaud at my television screen.

I wanted to snap people's heads off that said it was stupid because they didn't get it. But I try not to be violent. xD

I watched Dredd with my boyfriend last week. I wasn't too happy about it. I would have liked it if it didn't look like the camera crew got a hi-speed camera for Christmas and just went to town. ;/
