Rune shook off the last of his sleep. He nuzzled Luna's ruff one last time before padding out of their cave into the new day. He sniffed the breeze, but didn't smell anyone or anything that was out of the ordinary. He yawned again and stretched. Other members of the pack were already awake and wandering around, waiting for his orders for the day. He nodded to the Warriors he passed on his way to the clean water, and once had drunk his fill, he walked back to the rock outside the Den. He hopped up on the the stone and looked over the gathered Pack Members. "Kasolia, will you lead a hunting party? The pack needs redmeat, and if you could also scout around the Clifftree forest, I would thank you. I am to lead a patrol around the east side of the Valley, and I will take three Warriors with me." Without waiting for much of a response, he lept off the rock and padded back in the direction of his den.

Kel's eyes were clouded over with red rage. He snarled at the nearest wolf, turning on him and spilling blood. Something strange had happened back in the Place. It had made him madder than most, and continued to add to his fevered brain. All he could think about was finding and destroying his brother and anything that got in his way. His pack was held together with one thing. Fear. Every wolf feared him. And he was coming. His mind was set on one thing. Rune. He tore into the flank of the deer that they had brought down the day before. Experience had taught him that he needed the strength that redmeat provided. Soon they would be on the move again. Nothing could stand in their way and live.
Luna awoke, stretching her stiff muscles as she padded out of the den. Seeing Rune approaching the den again, she dipped her head in greeting. "Good morning, Rune. If you wish I shall hunt with you." She spoke formally, trying not to betray her tiredness. The previous night, she had barely slept because of her visions. Her fur was still glowing faintly, as it always did after she communicated with their ancestors.

Rune quickly closed the distance between himself and his mate. He knew her sleep was rather interupted the night before, as it had been since their escape. Her wisdom, passed to her from their ansestors in Frostpelt, had proven invaluable time and time again. Though he knew it came with a rather heavy price. He dipped his muzzle into her neckfur, hoping to try to offer some confort, and share some of his seemingly boundless strength. "I would be honored if you would hunt with me Lady Luna." He lowered his tail, showing signs of submission that were only for her. His ears, however, flicked backward to catch the conversations that were running through the pack. Being a leader came with a lot of responcibility, and Rune was up to the challenge. However... "Luna, something is comming. Something bad. Almost like thunder. Can you feel it too?"
Kasolia
Kasolia had woken up pretty early, not like it was unusual for her as she always got up at this time. The sky was still fairly dark when she headed out into the woods to do her route patrol. Kassy made it her job to get up before the other members of the pack. Of course, it wasn’t really her job, but she felt that because she was one of the packs main warriors it was her duty to do so. She would spend about 3 hours just patrolling the whole territory and hunting grounds; making sure the area was safe.
Kassy had spent about an hour patrolling the hunting ground before heading towards the east side of the Valley. Kasolia sniffed the air for any unfamiliar scents, but she found nothing out of the ordinary. Patrolling the borders was a way for Kassy to be alone and think about different things.
After about half an hour of patrolling the east side, she started to make her way back until a sudden smell flared up her nose. Before she knew it, a fairly large male wolf darted out of the nearby and tackled her to the ground. The male lashed out at her neck as Kasolia bit down hard on the wolf’s muzzle. Kasolia slammed her head into the male’s neck, harbouring that time to push him off. Once the male was on the floor, Kassy slashed her paws his body just before the wolf scramble up and darted away through the woods. Though, Kassy wasn’t going to let him get away. Running as fast as she possibly could, she began to catch up with the male. She was right behind him, about an inch apart. So very close. Suddenly, something large smacked into her side, sending her skidding across the ground. Looking up, she saw another wolf in front of her, smirking. The wolf then darted away, leaving Kasolia alone. A growl escaped her mouth as she slumbered up and headed back to her den. She would have to report to the Alpha about the two wolves, they might prove a threat to the pack.
As she returned to the den, she saw the Alpha standing onto of a large rock and talking to a small crowd of wolves. Kasolia moved closes, trying to hear what the Alpha was saying. "Kasolia, will you lead a hunting party? The pack needs redmeat, and if you could also scout around the Clifftree forest, I would thank you. I am to lead a patrol around the east side of the Valley, and I will take three Warriors with me." Kasolia nodded her head to the alpha as he spoke, signalling to him that she would start a hunt. As the Alpha walked away from the crowd, Kasolia followed him. She has to tell him that it wasn’t safe yet to go on a patrol on the east side. Rune was speaking to Luna as she neared them. Kasolia bowed her head to them in greeting.
“Sorry to interrupt, but I need to talk to you. The east side is not safe; it is not wise to go out there today. In my patrol, I came across two males. Adults. One injured, I’m unsure of the other ones status. And I would also prefer to not start a hunting party today, just for the fact that I didn’t see many animals out there. To many wolves will scare them away. I suggest keeping the numbers low in the hunt. I will start one later though, I’ll go out now and see what I can find. Unless you want me to patrol with you? I really don’t mind.”
Luna nuzzled his neck affectionately. "yes, it feels almost as though the air itself is charged." she shivered. "I think that possibly.... Nevermind. It would be foolish to assume that your brother might possibly have something to do with it." seeing Kasolia approaching, Luna dipped her head in greeting. "we would be glad for you to patrol with us." she said, softly.

Rune's eyes narrowed and his lip curled, partially revealing his fangs at the thought of others on his territory. Kass was a formitable fighter, and for her to have come back from a fight, without taking care of the present problem, was very unusual. Out of all his pack, Kass was one of the wolves that he trusted enough to give substantial responcibility. "Thank you for your report and your early patrol. Your detication to our pack is something that not everyone would be willing to do. I think today has changed. I will speak to the strongest of our warriors, and take them out to the east side to speak to these rogues. I will not allow others to attack members of my pack." A snarl rumbled in his chest. He was very angry with this news, especially since he could have lost one of his strongest warriors. His ears flicked backward momentarily. "Luna, if you wish to come, I will not stop you, but I would ask that you stand back if there is a fight. If this is Kel, or any wolf that follows him, a fight will be unavoidable." He turned to Kass and inclined his head, offering her respect, and then padded out into the small valley where some of the other wolves were still gathered. He wandered arround, speaking with his warriors, and started towards the enterace to their home. He would wait there till those who would follow him to speak to the Rogues joined him.

Kel and his pack were heading into a rather thin forest, following the illusive scent of his brother. Granted, he was no where near the place that his brother had run like a coward to, but every day, every pawstep brought him closer to the battle that would kill his brother. The rips that had been inflicted on him durring his last fight with Rune hadn't healed, but had stopped bleeding. All of his wounds were like that. He pressed his pack on, toward where he knew his brother had gone.
Kasolia
Walking away from Rune and Luna, Kasolia headed towards the packs food storage to check on their supplies. Hmm, that’s a bit odd; I swear when I left this morning there was a lot more food than this. Kass ponded about it for a few seconds before turning away and heading towards her den. From there, she could see over the pack members and monitor what they were doing. After a bit, she saw the Alpha head towards the entrance of the den, looking like he was ready to go out and patrol. With that, Kasolia step down from her post and walked over to Rune. “Rune! I’m coming with you on your patrol. If there’s any chance of a fight, you’ll need me.” Kasolia said in a slightly forceful way. Before Rune could say something, Kassy added. “And no. I’m coming with you no matter what. I’ve made my mind, and that’s final.” She gave Rune a friendly smile. Kassy had a lot of time for Rune, she liked him a lot. He was a very good leader… and friend.
(hope Kass isn't plotting to uproot Luna of her position in the pack, or her mate....)
Luna smiled at Rune. "I'll talk to you, alone, after your patrol. I'm going hunting." she vanished into the forest, sniffing for prey. soon after she scented a rabbit, tracking it and killing it with a quick blow across the neck. She buried her rabbit and continued sniffing around.

Rune smiled at Luna, nodding in consent to her choice. He knew that his insistance could be taken as mistrust, but he could not bare the thought of her getting hurt in a situation where he should have been able to protect her but couldn't.
Rune cocked his head to the side as Kass came walking up. At her insistance at being included, he just gave her a smile. "The reason I did not seek you out and speak to you was that you came to me with the information. I assumed that you would come, thank you for your enthuiasim." He glanced over his pack and was momentarily hit by the large responcibility that he had to keep them safe, fed, and away from Kel, though in his heart he knew that the only way he would survive was with the help of his pack's warriors. He sighed, turning his mind back to what the task at hand was.
Raiju walked out of the den his piercing eyes looked around his environment until they picked up Rune and Kasolia. He had overheard what was going on and padded up behind them "My help may be needed" He said forcefully, if it got dark how would they see? The answer, his fur. He had never considered it a burden, but like every other 'tough guy' in a story he considered it a curse.
