((This is mainly based off of the Speed Racer movieverse (the live action one with Emile Hirsch as Speed?).))

You weren't supposed to see me without my mask.

Speak for yourself, Rex Racer.
...It's been a while since I've been called that.

"It just wasn't fair, hm? You hid behind that mask for the safety of your brother? Of your family? And it the worst of times, you come running to me, a girl you crushed on when you were Rex, the girl next door?"

Those words would always sting you. I meant for them to be that way. I wanted them to seep through your brain like poison.

...something just wasn't right with your death. An explosion? ...you'd never have let that happen. And then, all of a sudden, the hero that we created in our childhood minds as the "greatest racer in the whole wide world" appears on the racetrack? I knew something was up.

I hope you know that you forgot something, Racer X. If you're anything like Rex and I created, you should know...

This is sort of based off of a fanfiction that I promised my sister (the biggest SR fan in the whole wide world, let me tell you...) that I'd write, where a mysterious racer joins Speed and X's team under the alias "Knightblade", and that X is secretly a comic character that Rex and his teenage/young-adult crush/eventual girlfriend, a girl named Levy. I'd sort of like this to start out with Knightblade (aka Levy) and X alone somewhere and she accuses him of being Rex (involving the conversation at the beginning) and they take it into this huge flashback, starting from when they met during their "junior year of highschool" (well, the equivalent of racing school's highschool) and became sort of best friends, turning into boyfriend/girlfriend, then Rex fakes his death... blah blah blah...
