I was somewhat disappointed when I didn't see a thread about the new Pokemon game on here.

    WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!?

    Anyways, discuss and what-not.

I'm naming Fennekin Mozilla. I called it first.
    Really? X and Y?

The game looks interesting, but... we all knew this day would come for pokemon...
The day they made so many games that they ran out of colour's to use!

It's been a long time since I've adored the design of a Water-type starter. Froakie is looking fabulous, and I'm hoping he'll have an equally interesting move set to go with that.

X and y correlate to Dimensions. What with the game being 3D

made by the ever charming and talented Lillian Thorne.

The buck teeth makes me think beaver. Regardless of what it is I still think they could of come up with a better design especially compared to the other two starters.

All credit for this awesome set goes to Lillian Thorne!

Those aren't buck teeth, that's just the way Japanese people draw teeth on child animals.

    These are buck teeth:

Isn't it the most wonderful pokemon ever?

I completely and totally agree. Certainly my favourite of the new starters, although I have high hopes for the grass type starter despite its general disaproval. He looks promising, definitely. I'm fully expecting it to be this generation's Oshawott. Hated at first but'll grow on you. Froakie is definitely my favourite though, because it seems to have the perfect mix of gentlemen charm and childish eccentricity, all wrapped up the most delightfully looking amphibian swag.

The facial hair on Froakie look almost like clouds to me. A water/flying type, perhaps? Some frogs have the ability to use their webbed hands to glide great distances, so I don't think it's too much of a stretch.

Technically Red, Blue, Yellow and Green were the only ones named after colours, unless spin-offs are counted.

And I was just pointing out a thread about X and Y that was already made. ;P

I'm not sure about getting these games. I really don't want to update systems yet (I still have the first ds), and I can't use my R4 card on the 3DS, thus I will have One game on a system, lol.

As for Fennekin, they just wanted to make a pokemon out of a fennec fox after seeing a picture of it and how adorable they are, Vulpix is based off legend.

But it has a Sonic tail.

It's kinda sad, but I know so many people who are getting one just to reference Sonic...

My brother showed me that video today, surprisingly enough! I'm rather depressed to say, though, that Pokemon X and Y is on a 3DS only, not a regular DS. Gah. $200 bucks down the drain. Some people spend money on fancy boots and purses. I, on the other hand, prefer Pokemon games.

(And I like Fennakin, too- I feel that the grass one, whose name I can't remember, reminds me of Oshawott. And frogs give me the jitters.)
