Name: Amodeus Elysius
Alias: Aerterna
Age: 19
Personality: Sarcastic, but not deliberately mean or nasty. Tends to remain calm, and is slightly reserved. He is also stubborn, and loyal to his friends. Can be outwardly pessimistic. He also tends to be reserved, unless to someone close to him, and refuses to remove his mask in the presence of others.

Power/ability: Can energize weapons, causing them to glow a bright blue. These can be actual weapons, such as a sword, or as simple as a rock. His weapons can pass through most objects, such as other metals or wood. He is agile, and attempts to be stealthy in combat. He can also seemingly teleport short distances, only up to 20 ft. He typically uses this to close a gap between him and an enemy, or to cross a location stealthily. He can't use this ability in rapid succession, for fear of his heart not taking the strain well. He has timed it to about once a minute, to not cause irreparable damage to his body. He calls it "shunpo", the lightning step.

Strengths: Stealthy, tactical, intelligent.
Weaknesses: He lacks strength, and while having some hand to hand combat experience, he is not extremely adept. This causes him to be almost useless, without carrying his wooden bokken. He also has little endurance, because of his pre-existing condition.
Weapons: He carries a wooden bokken, non-lethal unless energized.

Skills: Stealth, free-running, swordsmanship.

He stands about 5'9", and has a smaller body frame. He has scars on his left cheek and chest, received from past tragedy.

Bio: The soft light of the stars was marred by the harsh glow of the city, still polluting the night with its constant life.

The boy laid back, his head separated from the grass by his hands. The morning dew slowly seeped into his clothing, as he gazed up towards the heavens. The wind gently pushed his short black hair across his face in waves, letting the darkness penetrate his navy eyes.

He felt weary, though his body was young. Always in his mind were the echoes of his past, reflections of the horror he lived. He concentrated on the night sky, his memories slowly fading to black. For a time, the sky offered him the peace he needed. He longed for sleep, but that hardly came anymore.

He lifted himself from the ground, and even in this slight motion he could feel the energy circulating through his limbs. Shaking his arms to null the effect, he began to walk "home." it was a small apartment, unfurnished, and cold. It was all he had. He was thinking about his life, what he should do, where to go...

"Turn around slowly, and give me your wallet." The sudden voice pulled him from his thoughts, startling him. He listened, as he felt the press of cold steel against his head. He couldn't believe it when he saw his attacker's face; he was just a little boy, no older than 13. As he reached into his pocket, the assailant lowered his gun, dropping his guard. Amodeus pushed the boy's pistol towards the ground, pulling his hand from his pocket, and pushed the kid into a wall. Amodeus pressed his forearm between the boy's chin and collarbones. "Why are you robbing people?! What do you think you're doing with a gun?!" The boy's face started to change and cringe, as if in pain. "I'm not pressing that hard, answer me goddamnit! You could've killed me, or gotten yourself killed. Say something!"

The kid's eyes widened in fear, then he began screaming. Amodeus stepped back, confused, and dropped the boy. He watched in horror as a blue light spread from the boy's throat and wrist, consuming his body. He became fully blue, glowing intensely, before the light disappeared. All the was left was the pistol.

Amodeus sprinted home, head spinning. His heart felt like it would beat straight out of his chest, and he took a few aspirin. the last thing he wanted was for his heart defect to show its head. He laid in bed for hours, sleep never came. His hands shook uncontrollably. He had no idea what had happened. He thought back to when his parents died in that storm and he received his scars....

With nowhere to turn, and no way to face his demons, he thought maybe he could save lives, like that boy's, if he attempted to stop crime.

of course, details like 'I want some chicks in dis bitch' are things you 'TELL' people eaarly on so people don't waste weaks waiting only to find out you don't care to continue cause nobody on the team has tits Dx

@Amodeus: Ah, yes, I remember that character now. Looks good.

@Shoryu: When has there EVER been a superhero team (or any team for that matter) with all one gender? The A Team and Charlie's Angels don't count, the all guys and all women thing were basically their gimmick. So I think having all men or all women is unbalanced. How is that a bad thing? No, really, I'd love to hear you justify having all men and no women WITHOUT it sounding totally sexist and unbalanced.

That depends, would you include teams that have long periods of time with no females but one or more may come and go? If so, then the Avengers counts XD They have people come and go quite frequently, though the renditions of the original team seems to change frequently, the more recent Avengers movie actually was a male centric team, black widow may have been in the movie but she wasn't actually an avenger in that case.

Of course if you include smaller teams, then one could count batman's 'team', so to speak, though it's just 2 people then, or there's Static's team, though again, only 2 people, or maybe it was 3, been a long time XD

I meant teams as in literal teams. Avengers, Justice League, etc. Batmnan and Robin I just count as a partnership.
