Doom Re-imagined (Looking for Interest)

Hello!

Names Seth Cross maybe you know me, probably going for don't but I am looking for some hardcore Doom fans. (I do not mean the movie I love the movies but more along the story line of the games). I want to start a high casual Doom role play, an I am looking for other major fans of the game. I would prefer if you had knowledge of the game (Locations, Guns, Demons, Etc) but I would be more then willing to take a couple who don't as long as they know the base line of what doom is about (i.e. Google it if you desire). Anyone who is interested hit me up in here an we can discuss ideas and throw around plots for where the Role play will go.

*Fist bumps the sky* Yep, I'm in XD Hardcore doom veteran here, can't say I have every detail memorized, but I played doom back when I was little and still replay doom games to this day =3 If you're up for including custom ideas, creatures, weapons, vehicles, 'afflictions' [hellish influence on characters without becoming evil], Then I'm definitely your man for that XD loaded with ideas =3

Also, What level of doom are we gonna work with for starters? 1? 2? 64? Doom 3? or whatever else? =3 or more or less, Work it from the ground up with a 'doom world' being influenced by our own designs/customizations.

Heh. I literally just posted an interest check for Doom (among other things) just a few hours ago. I'm interested. So long as I get to blast some zombies and demonic creatures. If we're allowed, I'd like to suggest including original monsters for this.

You don't have to worry about Doom knowledge from my part. I have planty of that. And hell yes I wanna participate. What exactly are we gonna base ourselves upon? The Doom games from the 90's or Doom 3?

Thank you guys for responding! Iv tried a couple times to get some interest over the years never got anybody. To answer a question that has been asked a couple times where is this going to start? Trust me when I say I love Doom 3 and resurrection it really brought a lot of 3d action blood gore to Doom that made you feel like you were in there getting demon guts on you. But this is going to along the story line of the Old Doom the first of them all. As you all well know the story Marine gets pissed at a superior officer beats the hell out of him, gets sent to Mars home of Aerospace Corporation as punishment and is pretty much bored for four years, until the testing on Phobos and Deimos (two moons) goes wrong and hell spawn starts coming through. The story pretty much tells itself through the game your fighting from location to location to stop Hell an save the world and all that good stuff. An that's where this story will begin, on the Moon of Phobos. Now there is going to be a lot of room for improvising tons of room. The general goal obviously is to work through each location, but that's where the improvising comes in, what I want to do is take the levels from Ultimate doom and Re-imagine them the way we want to see them. As it has been suggested whether or not we could include original Demons, Weapons, etc the answer is definitely yes. Were going to build the role play from the ground up starting with the Doom 1 construct an work from there. An sorry if im a bit confusing 6 in the morning, no sleep, and excited some RPers are interested! But to make this clear were going to start on Phobos first chapter of Doom and everything is going to be pretty much us taking it from there an making a kick ASS Doom RP!

I'm actually playing Ultimate Doom right now. On Doomsday Engine 1.9.9 with 3D models, high resolution textures and sounds and all that jazz. Currently in the penultimate level of Episode 1.

Well I have been thinking about that tbh. I would actually be inclined to see what every one thinks about the idea. My idea for your question is we can start off Solo, we were all part of different Marine Units an were the soul survivors of our units, with the exception that one of us was sent from the Mars base to assist with the incident. We start off setting the scene and pretty much the general jest of our characters an then we find each other or meet up in some way and continue onward together, we could even throw in parts where we need more then one marine to continue like a double access door that needs spontaneous swipes to open. Its all pretty open for ideas.

An you got the right idea I am about to play me some Doom question is Xbox 360 version or computer version lol.

Iv been thinking an I came up with an Idea. Why don't we come up with a new class range of weapons (Not overly powerful) but sort of upgrades from original Doom weapons. We can still have originals of course doom wouldn't be doom without them but why not each of us has a special modified version of an original doom weapon. I would have to say the exception would be the BFG and the Rocket Launcher for now anyways, I would want to make those a challenge to obtain but the chainsaw, The pistol, The shotgun, the plasma gun, an the chaingun. We could each choose out of these guns and make a newer efficient version for the roleplay that each of our marines will use? Any thoughts?

Pistol -> Energy Pistol
Shotgun -> Super Shotgun
Chaingun -> Railgun
Plasma Gun -> Particle Beam Rifle

Why not include grenades, too?
