Right, a Roleplay... I suppose I should sum it up for you, just so you have a basic idea.

In the year 2015 an experiment has been to designed to prolong the lives of humankind and to test the limits of technology. Before this point people have had the choice of who they wish and aside from the fact that they often weren't good genetic matches over half of the couples were unhappy and a whole quarter ended in separation.*
So now we choose the best matches for them, genetically and mentally. They are so much happier.

This year, however, we had a powercut during the sorting, sending all of the files askew. I don't think the matching will go too well this year, hopefully things won't go too wrong.

Yeah, pretty vague but hopefully everything will become clearer as we go along

Ah yes, I probably should explain artifacts...

Basically, in the society these people live in, their entire lives are decided for them and they all have the same unless something from the past (an artifact) is given to you by a family member or a friend. This means that artifacts are very old and the necklace would probably be perfectly fine. Also, the society only allows one artifact per person Hope this helps
